The opening song for IYSS will forever be one of my favorite opening themes in television ever, with its militaristic energy and tragic melody. It took time for Jingbirok's to grow on me, but I found myself liking it.
So which is the better song? (in terms of sequence). I thinks its a toughie.
Interesting to note that IYSS' song is "soft" while energetic, whereas Jingbirok is pretty loud and arguably bombastic in comparison.
Anyone realize that opening themes in dramas and historicals seem to be be much shorter than they were in the past?

Guess people here are undecided.

Not me; it's no contest. The Jingbirok music has been great so far but IYSS wins, no contest.
And yes shorter opening themes is a trend all over TV everywhere. Gotta squeeze those extra ads in!

YYS wins but I really like the Jingbirok's opening melody.

Jingbirok for me, by a very small margin.
