The Chicago Korean Drama Fan Club staff would like to thank everyone for their feedback on the upcoming changes. After careful consideration, we've decided to launch the new format starting Monday, March 14.
As stated in the Future of the board thread, we'll be using DramaFever as our base for all dramas provided on the board. We'll be operating on a schedule similar to the one used previously by KBC. Since we'll be using an online service, instead of actual time slots, dramas will simply have day slots.
The schedule will be as follows:
Modern Drama A (Monday & Tuesday)
Modern Drama B (Wednesday & Thursday)
Modern or Historical Drama C (Friday & Saturday)
Historical Drama D (Saturday & Sunday)
Monday thru Thursday will be reserved for new or recent modern dramas. The Friday and Saturday slot will be for slightly older modern or historical dramas. Basically, anything more than a few years old will go in this slot. The Saturday and Sunday slot will be strictly for historical dramas.
Our first ever lineup will consist of the following 4 dramas:
Athena: Goddess of War [Monday & Tuesday]
Secret Garden [Wednesday & Thursday]
Spotlight [Friday & Saturday]
The Painter of the Wind [Saturday & Sunday]
We chose these 4 dramas in an effort to provide viewers with a diverse lineup. We're heading into uncharted waters so we didn't want to start off with too many dramas. If everything goes well, we could always add additional dramas to the schedule.
So, based on the lineup above, the schedule will go as follows:
Athena: Goddess of War [Monday & Tuesday]
Episode 1 - Monday, March 14
Episode 2 - Tuesday, March 15
Secret Garden [Wednesday & Thursday]
Episode 1 - Wednesday, March 16
Episode 2 - Thursday, March 17
Spotlight [Friday & Saturday]
Episode 1 - Friday, March 18
Episode 2 - Saturday, March 19
The Painter of the Wind [Saturday & Sunday]
Episode 1 - Saturday, March 19
Episode 2 - Sunday, March 20
Once the boards for the dramas go up this weekend, we'll post drama info threads which will contain air dates for each episode.
We encourage everyone to follow the schedule as closely as possible but you're free to go at your own pace. The schedule is more for discussion purposes. This means that you won't be able to discuss a specific episode of the drama until we reach that point on the schedule. For this reason, we'll be providing spoiler threads for those that watch ahead.
We know this new format will take some getting used to but we're optimistic that we can make it work. If you need additional help with DramaFever, we encourage you to read the How to use DramaFever thread.
