Okay. I meant to watch the 23rd episode of "The Princess' Man" but when I got to DramaFever my finger kinda slipped and hit on "Cheondamdong Alice" instead. So I ended up watching the whole of first episode. And I have to say: Oh. My. Gosh. Am loving it. It's gonna be another Park Si Hoo winner, I can tell.
Will now go to TPM.

I'm going to watch this drama if anyone wants to join me.
(I know you already watched it, Birdy, so you prob don't wanna watch it again. Don't worry, I didn't forget about "Absolute Boyfriend." We can still do that one after TPM.)
So this drama stars one of my favorite K-actors Park Si Hoo and the female lead is Moon Geun Young. The only drama I've seen her in is "Mary Stayed Out All Night" starring with one of my pretty boys Jang Geun Suk. I liked her okay in that, didn't love her.
This drama is about a poor girl struggling to make it in the fashion world as a designer. That's about all I know really. Looks so fun though. Am really looking forward to it.

I am torn.
I was all set to watch "Cheondamdong" when suddenly my husband said he is ready to start a K drama with me. He just finished season two of "Breaking Bad" last night and he had told me he didn't want to start a drama with me until he completed BB. But I guess he changed his mind. He said he can do both at the same time. It's either gonna be "Nice Guy" or "Tree With Deep Roots" (which I've been wanting to see for a while). Which do you guys think is better?
So sadly, will hold off on CA... can't do more than three dramas at a time, and am doing "Yi San" and will be doing "Absolute Boyfriend" soon. (Right, Birdy???)

My husband and I watched the first episode of "Nice Guy." I don't particularly like the main guy and unfortunately the main girl is the girl who plays Se Ryeong in "The Princess' Man." Don't know if I can take her two dramas in a row. Hubby seems to like what we've seen so far so I guess we'll try it for a little longer.

MyBob and I have been watching A Gentleman's Dignity, which I really like and so does he, but it takes us a long time because we watch a lot of other series together on Hulu and Netflix so our turnaround time is long. Kim Haneul playing someone goofy for a change (instead of simply tragic), so that's fun, and the four male characters are a nice assortment.
I tried to watch Cheomdamdong Alice before, but it just got on my nerves.

I watched a little bit of "Gentleman" but there was this guy who kept taking off his wedding band whenever a pretty girl appeared. I hate men like that so I quit out. And I didn't find any of the four men remotely attractive.
Ah so sad you didn't like CA. I really liked what I saw and am very much looking forward to watching the whole thing soon. I don't love the lead girl in it but I tolerated her for Jang Geun Suk in "Mary Stayed Out All Night" and I imagine I can definitely tolerate her for my baby Park Si Hoo.

I liked Cheomdamdong Alice, but I really liked A Gentlman's Diginity-- nice to see a drama with "older" males in it. I really liked the OST in Gentleman, too. Once again one of things I disliked in "Gentleman" was that the main female actor acted liked she was 12 at times and that was annoying..... Watching "Gentleman", was what made me watch "Dating Agency:Cyrano-- because one of the actors was in both.

the main female actor acted liked she was 12 at times and that was annoying..... Was she with her parents when this happened?... Cuz I act 12 when I'm with my parents. It's not something I do on purpose, it's like Pavlov reaction. At work I'm professional, well-spoken, very much in control. With my friends of course I'm more relaxed but still act very mature, most of the time. However, when I'm with my parents I complain, I whine, I pout, I even stomp my foot on occasions. I've been known to hold my breath too. This goes on now, even when I'm married. I think Korean daughters act this way cuz they know their parents like it.

No, she's not with her parents Jewel, she's just a funny girl who sometimes acts goofy. I found it refreshing, she just had no stupid preconceived ideas of how someone is "supposed" to act. LOL on how to act around your parents--I think it's something all [not just Korean] younger women tend to do around their parents (and boyfriends now that I think about it). By "younger" I mean up to late 20s, maybe after that we ourselves get tired of it LOL.
As for the guy who was always cheating, the context was that EVERYONE in the drama thought he was a jerk, including his friends, so I don't know why you'd worry about it, because the drama disapproves of him too. I haven't finished it, but I assume he gets his comeuppance in the end if the signals of how everyone reacts to him are any indicator. I don't stop watching something just because someone is doing something I don't like unless it's not part of the storyline, but here it clearly was.

I think the part in "Dignity" that annoyed me was times when the lead actress would lie on her bed and kick her feet like she was having a temper or some other type of tantrum. Bo's observation was good-- she did act goofy-- I guess I am just too serious to find acting goofy something I would do-- although there are times I would walk thru a store and wonder what it would be like to just take anything breakable off the shelf and just slam it on the floor-- I usually just take a deep breath and wait for the feeling to pass!

As for the guy who was always cheating, the context was that EVERYONE in the drama thought he was a jerk, including his friends, so I don't know why you'd worry about it It's not that I was worried about it (lol) but why should I spend 16+ hours of my life watching someone I don't like? As soon as a guy/girl even thinks about cheating on their spouse I lose all desire to root for them. And I can't watch a drama where I can't root for the main lead. And to tell the truth, the other three guys did nothing for me either, or I may have stuck around for them. Birdy, are we related? Should we do a DNA test?? My thing is when I'm at church or in a conference, at the quietest moment, a sudden urge that's almost irresistible comes over me to... just get up and do... I don't know... a Beyonce rendition of "Single Ladies" maybe... "Now put your hands up Up at the club We broke up..." Or what's-her-name... "Hey I just met ya And this is crazy But here's my number So call me maybe..."

I don't think of him as the main lead, and I like the other guys and the female lead. So if I didn't like him--which I really didn't, not the actor but the character--I still would watch it. Which we will be. When we get around to it. LOL.
