Look what I found: books.google.com/books?id=awCJAwAAQBAJ&pg=PA423&dq=annals+of+king+taejo&hl=en&sa=X&ei=gcHCU-q5Bs2VyATPq4D4Dw&ved=0CDYQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=annals%20of%20king%20taejo&f=falseThe Annals of King Taejo has been translated into English and published in book form. Just released a couple of months ago. It was done by the same guy who translated Ryu Sung-ryong's "The Book of Corrections." He did a real nice job on that one so I'm sure this will is well-done too. From the preview it appears to be pretty dry in places; it's a literal translation of day-by-day events so there are a lot of mundane governmental details. But still it looks very interesting to page through, especially after having watched the Jeong Dojeon series. Only problem is the price tag: can't get it any cheaper than $44 and that's from the power-abusers at Amazon. And it's a hardcover, too. So hopefully they'll come out with a less expensive paperback version eventually.

Hi, question. Is this for reading on line, or do we have to purchase a paper copy? I am referring to Annals of King Taejo (ajk's link).
Man, couldn't they have gotten around to this ten years ago so my opinions could be better informed? LOL...
PS the article says they will post the entire English translation in 2033...I could be pretty addled by THAT time. I mean, more than now. Hope the posting will be "as available" instead.
