Okay, just finished episode 1 and I really loved it. I laughed out loud so many times, so funny. Some parts sad too. I don't know what to think of Na AeRa yet. I mean she was really mean when she took the food away from her husband and when she locked him out of the house. But she was also very funny, love her expressions. And I felt very sorry for her when she had to walk back from that villa in the rain... Now to the good part - Cha JungWoo... Omg, he is sooo gorgeous!! Even as a nerd he is sooo cute! Am so crushing on him! Just loved the ending scene when he walks into the police station... that slow motion, looking all around and then seeing his ex in the cell... love his expression - that little frown, the sad look in his eyes... Thought he was beautiful in "Paradise Farm," but he's more so here... If I didn't have to go to work tomorrow, I'd watch episode 2 right now... sniff, sniff... boo hoo... Good night...

Great Drama pick, Fiona! Watched ep 1, was surprised that time passed so fast, but was happy the way they did it-- unlike some of the other dramas this did not drag along to set up the story. Cha Jung Woo- wow what great nerd! He is definitely good looking. Do you think she didn't want Jung Woo called when she was at the police department because she was embarrassed? The plot says Jung Woo wants to get revenge because she only married him because he was rich, so why wouldn't she want the rich ex-husband come to her rescue? I would think she would want him to come and see what a sad life she is living and maybe stir up old feelings, or maybe at this point she doesn't realize she wants him back? The whole date set-up was a bit un-nerving-- I mean the guy didn't have to be great looking, but he looked and acted like such a creep/weirdo that it kinda made my skin crawl. When they first showed up at the villa, I thought the girl was his sister, and the "old" man his father! Same goes for the rich girlfriend of AeRa, she was a bit over the top in her bragging. Let me know more about what you thought since I have seen the 1st episode now. Like this a lot so far, lots of laughs, some sadness, some "normal" people, some people over the top, ect.... On another note, I loved the coat that AeRa wore at the beginning-- it had like a herring bone pattern and was different colors. So pretty!

I think she didn't want him to come to the police station because she was embarrassed. I would feel the same. Most girls wanna look their most glamorous when they come across their ex and I think that's what AeRa was feeling. am so glad you mentioned Ae Ra's outfit. Was dying to mention Hee Jin's (Queen In Hyun's Man) style while we were watching but didn't wanna sound shallow (which I'm very good at), like why she wore that tutu and why she kept wearing bowling shoes with her short-short dresses... Watched episode 2. Love-love-loved it! Ae Ra looked awful when she went to see her ex at his office, what with the red ribbons in her severely-parted hair and the pajama-like dress-&-coat ensemble. Wow girl, what were you thinking?! Of course, Cha Jung Woo was flawless, truly gorgeous. I loved when Ae Ra ripped the contract paper to shreds and threw it in his face and how the scene went all slow-mo and black-and-white. Very moving. He looked so sad. Even when he was being mean to her in the ending scene, you could see the sadness in his eyes. Joo Sang Wook is such a good actor. Loved the bar scene where Cha Jung Woo and whateverhisnameis are arguing about who the girl is staring at. So funny! "She keeps looking at me. What should I do?" "She's looking at me." "It's me." "It's me, I tell you." and then how when idontknowhisname says that guy wants to have a drink with you and they look over to find... just empty space. The sound effect just about floored me, I was laughing so hard! But did you notice how when Cha Jung Woo was walking out of the bar, he looked so sad?... I really enjoyed the episode. Cha Jung Woo, my eye candy!! Even his hands are beautiful!

Just finished watching episode 3. Oh my, oh my, loved it like crazy! Have been using the 30 second rewind button relentlessly. Never knew what it was and actually was never curious but I now know it was made for Joo Sang Wook ssi. Been watching some of my fave JSW scenes over and over and over and over... first of all, "Temptation of a Wife"... something about the mole triggered off a memory in my head and I had to verify. And sure enough a similar scene in "You're Beautiful" with Go MiNam a la mole... So I'm assuming they're both referring to some famous movie or drama...? List of some of my fave scenes: - meeting about what to have for lunch: I was so cracking up over this! Cuz it's so true. At work, we're rarely as animated as when we're discussing what to order for lunch - hee hee - interview scene: so funny when Gook SeungHyun keeps snorting at AeRa's answers and her outraged looks she gives him. Love her expressions. - dating reality show: JungWoo pretending he doesn't care watching AeRa dating another man on TV. "Who cares, as long as she doesn't bad-mouth me" and the expression on his face when she proceeds to do so. - JungWoo walking by the new employee orientation group: AeRa's priceless sneering. - AeRa choking her friend for taking JungWoo's side. "He might fall for you again, I feel sorry for him." So funny! - roof scene: when JungWoo slips and slides all over the place trying to get away from AeRa, perfect combination of suave and goofy. Love how they use the informal language when they're all alone, like best friends would do. So cute! - afterwork gathering: when they're all gossiping about the CEO's ex..."heard she cheated on him," "heard she was a gambler," and the worst insult in the world... "I heard... she was really ugly." I could so easily pull an all-nighter over this drama... but I'll control myself...

Okay Birdy, where are you? Just finished episode 4. So so good. At this point I'm loving it so much that I'm starting to worry whether this drama can stay this good all the way to the end. I've had so many experiences in the past where I just love the first few episodes only to be really disappointed later on. Fingers crossed... This episode I found really good but also very sad at times. Just feel sad for Cha JungWoo ssi, that little frown he always has on his face... as much as he doesn't want to admit it, he still has feelings for AeRa. Her, I can't quite figure out yet. The scene in their "dream house" was very sad. He was sorta mean to her... but then I guess she deserved it, I don't know. I'm surprised I like her so much still, even though apparently she left her husband when he needed her the most and now she seems to be kinda like a gold-digger... I'll try not to watch further until you post, Birdy. The only problem is I'm going away on vacation next week and my husband banned the iPad for our trip so I have to leave my baby at home. How am I gonna LIVE? Anyway...

Sorry I am behind, I am watching ep 3 now-- hopefully will stay awake long enough to finish it tonight. Long weekend and not much time to watch. Hopefully tomorrow I will catch up to you. I don't know about a vacation with out my laptop -- one vacation we went on, the wi-fi did not work in our room, so I would sneak out to the pool area so I could watch my drama! (on another note, today I almost ran into someone at work, I said "Sorry, Sorry" and immediately said to myself "wow, I sound just like Super Junior" and then thought "Wonder if Fiona is gonna to think that's funny")

Yeah, but were you doing this dance while you said, "Sorry, sorry"... Anyway, just watched episode 5. Again, loved it. So far I've loved every minute of this drama. The restaurant scene was so funny - how AeRa went at JungWoo when they were left alone. And then she says to him, "Ya im-ma!" which is really one of the worst things a woman can say to a man. "Im-ma" means something like "punk" and is usually used by a father to a son or an uncle to a nephew or a male teacher to a male student. Women rarely use it at all and certainly not to a man, and certainly not to a CEO. She's hysterically funny to use this word and JungWoo to be utterly dumbfounded is totally understandable. Words like "jerk" or "bastard" at least says they're on equal terms. By using "im-ma" she's basically saying she is a better man than he is. I was laughing so hard! And then when Gook YeoJin comes back to the table, AeRa is all sugar-coated sweetness again, switching back to the respectful formal language. She was killing me. Then JungWoo's reaction was soooo cute. He couldn't handle her at all, she was just too much for him. Here is this CEO, a very powerful man, yet absolutely helpless when it comes to his ex-wife. So cute!! Was that a sign of jealousy when JungWoo asked SeungHyun what he was doing drinking alone with AeRa the other night? I think so!!! Ooooohh!! And when they meet in the car for a secret chat and he says "let's cancel" all the mean things they did to each other. He uses a word kids would use when playing a game. Can a man be cuter? He's adorable! Omg, the ending scene... He sings too!! The song was so beautiful, and JungWoo and YeoJin looked and sounded so good together... Poor AeRa... her little would-be revenge sure backfired...

Just a quick note-- I am up to ep 6. Really like this drama, so much to enjoy it is hard to remember what to comment on..... The restaurant scene you mention was priceless! The way they switch back and forth between happy and mad is perfect-- I've always seemed to like dramas that play up the facial expressions and this one does this really well. There are also a lot of side stories-- like woman (I forgot her name) and her brother who is the other intern -- she has a thing for YeoJin and he has a thing for AeRa-- you just know this is gonna add drama to the drama! (On another note: Loved the gray jacket the male intern wore (do you get the impression I am no good with names!?!?! ), jacket had "buckles" on the front and an open area in the back with a panel of color- really nice) ... and no I did not dance like Super Junior, would rather dance like Taeyang in "Ringa,Linga , but alas no talent

Okay. Episode 6. Really really loved it. First of all I think the song JungWoo and YeoJin sing together is so pretty. Wish I knew the title. Tried to look for it but no success. The whole food-poisoning scam thingy was very good. Makes one wonder if JungWoo would have been that supportive and understanding if the employee had been anyone other than AeRa... And the funny thing about the whole situation was that her father's hair looked exactly the same after he sprayed his hair and blew dried it as it looked before that! Omg, what a gentleman JungWoo is to still make it to YeoJin's birthday dinner. And it was so cute the way they were in her bedroom after dinner as if they were teenagers dating or something! And then the awkward silence when neither had anything to say to each other. And that gigantic picture of herself on the wall... Are we to assume it was taken after her accident? If so does it make sense to be always reminded her of what she lost?... I don't know... It's her right leg that she lost, right? and why are her hands so red? Does she suffer from Buerger's Disease or something? I noticed the same with SeungHyun too. Starting to like that Secretary Gil quite a bit. So funny how he seems to know JungWoo's feelings for AeRa better than JungWoo himself. And always sort of prodding him into admitting his feelings for his ex-wife. They're very cute together. (I realize now Secretary Gil was the young version of President Joo in "The Master's Sun.") but what's with the red-eyed bunny sweatshirt? Kinda creepy, what??? To respond to your comment, Birdy, regarding SeungHyun's jacket: I actually don't love the way he dresses... It's a little too metrosexual for my taste. I like the way JungWoo dresses better, excepting the above unexplainable sweatshirt. And I think SH wears way too much makeup, including lipstick! Yikes!! Omg, the scene where AeRa gets mad at JungWoo is exactly like me and my husband when we watch the Giants games. We both love the Giants and both hate the Patriots but I get highly emotional while Hubby tends to be very rational so that sometimes I get really mad at him when he doesn't agree with me completely when I'm bashing the enemy (I love love love Eli Manning and hate hate hate the Patriot quarterback - see, can't bear to even type out his name!). The elevator scene was soooo cute, both JungWoo and AeRa were so adorable! Totally doing the wife thing, brushing the lint off his shoulder without even thinking, and JungWoo totally liking it. Omg, are they too cute or what? And then "the note"! I was dying laughing! So funny!

Hey I didn't finish and it kicked me out. Maybe the posting too long?? Anyway...
the rooftop scene was really great - funny, sad, insightful. I swear Joo Sang Wook is such a great actor. Loved when he looked so panicked when AeRa started marching over to him. And how hurt he looked when he said she lied when she said she loved him. Aww... And then the heart attack I had when YeoJin was right there listening to the whole conversation... yikes!!! Wow!!!

I find it so hard to comment on this drama. there is so much going on in each episode, I find it hard to remember it all! I liked the whole food poisoning, even if was a bit hard to believe. AeRae father was so funny when he sprayed his hair and then had the power blow when he used the hair dryer. The birthday dinner was so cute-- Do you think her brother suggested the whole dinner thing because he knows his sister has a "crush" on JungWoo? Her past with her husband dying and all was so sad. Remember when she was on the bus with JungWoo, do you think she lost her balance due to her losing a leg in the accident? As far as Yeojin's picture on the wall-- it must be common in Korea, because when I have watched the "Return of Superman" (korean reality-type show) some of the celebrities have large size pictures on themselves on the wall. It is a bit bizarre-- I don't even like looking at regular pictures of myself, let alone a wall-size one! AeRae and JungWoo are so good together, they play off each other so well.... The only thing that bothers me a bit (and I may be wrong here) but didn't AeRae pretend to like JungWoo at the very beginning because her and her mom thought he was a geek and therefore going to be rich someday? Did she then really fall in love with him, but then broke up with him because they were so poor? If this is true, then I think she really deserves all the crap she can get! What makes her so special that JungWoo should take her back? To think he built that little model house in the beginning for her and then she drops him like a hot potato, makes me think she deserves nothing. It will be interesting to see where this goes.....

Hi Birdy!! I agree, the car accident was sad. But. Not to be mean but they shouldn't have been so reckless. I mean they were speeding and laughing and kissing. They should've known when they behave like that they could get hurt. And yeah you're right, on the bus or subway when she was all helpless it must've been because of her leg, or lack of it. I thought at the time she was just not used to public transportation. The gigantic picture thing is not a Korean thing, I don't think. Maybe a celebrity thing? I've been to lots of Korean homes and no one ever had a billboard-size picture of themselves, believe me. Unless we're talking wedding pictures. Koreans are big on poster-size wedding portraits. It's true AeRa became interested in JungWoo because he was the smartest student to frequent her family restaurant but I don't think she pretended to like him - I think she really did like him. There's nothing unusual about that. Here in U.S. girls would say, "I like him cuz he's so cute" and no one would think anything of it. In Korea, it's perfectly normal for a girl to say, "I like him cuz he's so smart." In Korea a man's brain is much more important than a man's looks, if we're talking husband material. So it's perfectly normal for AeRa to fall for JungWoo because he's smart. Is she materialistic? Yes, she is. But again, Koreans don't think that's necessarily bad when looking for a husband. Now if she continues to be materialistic AFTER she's married that's bad cuz she's supposed to stick with him through thick or thin. BUT when she's shopping around for a husband she's allowed to be somewhat materialistic. Anyway. Episode 7... What to say, except enjoyed it immensely. Got nervous half way through cuz they were both with the wrong people and seem to enjoy themselves a little too much but by the end of the episode I was somewhat reassured. Let me tell you something, if the two leads don't end up together I'm gonna have a major hissy fit, an absolute nervous breakdown. Joo Sang Wook is known for not getting the girl at the end, right? If it happens here too, I swear I'm gonna just bawl my eyes out! Cuz even though I'm not sure why she divorced him and maybe she was mean to him back then and maybe she's far from perfect, still I can't help adoring her. I think she's cute as a button. They just need to get back together... Omg, the rooftop scene when JungWoo was returning the Tupperware or whatever to AeRa was so hilarious, I was cracking up! Then when the two men were talking about the same woman aka AeRa, so funny!! What are those pills JungWoo keeps popping? Hope they're safe. Oh my gosh, the ending just about killed me. The background music is hysterical when JungWoo is dressed like Superman and he sees AeRa dressed like Marilyn Monroe. Love her expression when she says she's the fill-in. I was dying! Joo Sang Wook oppa is so gorgeous when he smiles...

Just finished ep7 --- so good! I still go back and forth about who is the bad guy in AeRae and Jung Woo's past, at one point I think she is the meanest, vengeful, uptight person..... and then something happens with Jung Woo and I think he is obnoxious and so petty and thinks he is "all that" --- guess in the long run it just means that they are meant for each other - LOL! Seems to me that they are both at fault for their divorce-- maybe a lot of it being inexperience? Boy, would I love to work for a company where when ever I need some space I can just go up on the roof top! (only problem is that I would spend the whole shift up on the roof!) I like the end, too but I can get the whole "superman" get-up, but really- Marilyn Monroe? I think there could have been a better choice, maybe even just Lois Lane??? The only thing that really bothers me with this drama is the relationship between AeRae and Seung Hyun-- he looks so much younger that AeRae that they appeal to me more as a brother/sister than ever a boyfriend/girlfriend. It just makes it hard to believe that he is even in competition with Jung Woo..... On a more positive note, I agree that Joo Sang Wook is gorgeous! There are times when he has a certain look, that he reminds on Jo In Sung......although his laugh sounds so fake, which I can't decide if that is his acting like he doesn't really think the situation is funny or if it is really his laugh! (also, it happened again, someone said "Sorry, Sorry" to me at work and this time I remembered your comment and I so wanted to break into a dance! ) (and Did you have a nice and relaxing vacation?)
