DAC figure out the kidnapper is watching their every move and has been for some time now. They investigate old clients because he hints this is the problem. Moojin dismisses everyone who is out of the country or dead, but it turns out the one dead guy is the correct connection, as he was sweet waitress Hyeri’s deceased brother. Hyeri lured Minyoung to her fate because she believes DAC stole away her brother’s sweetheart before he died, so he had to die alone. But in reality, the brother hired DAC to set up his true love with his best friend, and both of the targets knew about it. Moojin determines it’s Hyeri and explains the true situation to her. She tells them where Minyoung is being held prisoner by (surprise) Hawaii—the identity of whom they had already figured out.
Part of their punishment is DAC have to tell the “targets” the truth about their lovers. So Sherlock confesses to Yiseol that he wrote the letter that caused her to fall in love with Do-il. However, she informs him that Do-il already confessed, and this is why she loved him, because he was always open to her no matter how hard it was. Similarly, Arang confesses to schoolgirl Sekyung about the operation with Ray, but he convinces her that nobody was lying, they were only helping Ray tell her how he really felt. [At Yiseol's store, she tells Sherlock to stop being childish and mean to people, and to try to tell someone he loves how he really feels about her.]
But before this happens, Arang has told the Maestro all about the kidnapping. M decides to visit his old crime boss, where he learns that Hawaii is an insane ex-police detective. He had promised Do-il never to return to a life of crime, for Minyoung’s sake and to get Hawaii’s address, he is ordered to work for the boss again. We don’t know how this turns out, but Maestro gets the address and he and his thugs break into Hawaii’s work room and discover something very disturbing—plans for a bomber vest. Short thug Squiggy is badly injured, so Maestro rushes to the theater, calling Sherlock on the way. (At Hawaii’s place, Maestro also found the letter Sherlock wrote on behalf of Do-il.)
Hawaii, it turns out, blames DAC for taking away someone he was in love with, named Choi Sohyun. (I cannot figure out who this person is.) He sends Sherlock and Moojin on a wild goose chase to find Ms Choi, who he knows is out of the country. Sherlock figures out he’d better get to the theater right away and borrows a stranger’s car. He overcomes his fear of driving and is apparently on his way.
At the theater, Hawaii tells Minyoung she has to die as revenge on Sherlock so he knows how it feels to lose someone. With her usual spunk, she finds an opportunity to kick him over even though she’s trussed up and can’t escape. In response, he smashes her against something and she passes out. Triptych of petrified Sherlock, frantic Maestro and knocked-out Minyoung…
