Lee Ilhwa(Lee Seonggye's wife in this drama) and Jo Jaehyeon(Jeong Dojeon) have been cast as wife and husband in upcoming KBS drama Master : The God of Noodle(not a historical). Ironic, huh?

I watched the first episode with the English subs and it looks really good, and mahyar, I appreciate you providing the subs, but it looks like all the sites that have the raw videos have been taken down. I'm very familiar with adjusting timing of subs, so timing issues won't be a problem.
I've been waiting for a series like this because I hate the whole idea of "fusion" where ridiculous love triangles are added combined with a complete disregard for historical accuracy and I won't watch any series that fits into that category anymore.
Any suggestions on how to watch this? You can message me through the board if the answer might jeopardize a site that has the raw videos or subtitles.
Thanks! I hope to get a chance to see this!

You know, I just realized that the Ha Ryun in this drama is the same Ha Ryun from Sejong, you know, the aged prime minister . Talk about survival skillz. He outlived them all. Lee in Im, Jeong Monju, Do Jeon, all the other scholars. He was the only one not killed. He was the true winner of the drama.

That's why the running joke in the Korean fandom during the time this drama aired was "you gotta live like Ha Ryun if you want a successful life" lol

I started re-watching this series since there is no traditional historical this year.
Finished up to Ep4 last night and boy this was a fantastic drama.
What's the writer of this drama doing? Please go write a new traditional historical. I am begging you.

Yeah it's one of the best ones ever. jewel it's definitely worth watching if you can find it. Much more of a government/power-struggle drama than most historicals; not very much as far as battles or action (although there's an urban warfare sequence in one episode that was outstanding; have never forgotten it). And you'll learn a heck of a lot about the history of that period--it's very authentic and accurate for a dramatic series. A real treasure.

I found it at Good Drama but it's only one episode. Maybe this is a different one? Anyway, I tried a few minutes of God of War the other day. It looks okay, but maybe not my thing. Looks like it could be too violent for me.

Very nice. Did you also write the Iljimae one too? I read that too. Love it!

No I never had anything to do with the Iljimae page. I only watched a few episodes of that one but that's about it.

Ah. I guess that means you didn't like it. Iljimae was my 3rd K drama I ever watched. Still one of my faves - watched it three times so far and loved it better each time. I may not have great taste in historical dramas but I'm very loyal.
