This is a short summary of episodes 1 & 2.

Tae San is a match and agrees to be Soo Jin's donor. While at the hospital, he runs into Soo Jin. She recognizes him right away. She has a photo of Tae San and In Hye together. In Hye told everyone Tae San died.

Info on eps 3 & 4.A manhunt starts for Tae San. Jae Kyung is assigned the case despite interference from congresswoman Jo. She believes Tae San killed Mi Sook on orders from Il Suk. She finds a pawn shop receipt for Mi Sook's digital camera. Unable to find the digital camera at the pawn shop, she concludes that Tae San must have it. Congresswoman Jo and Il Suk learn about the digital camera and the possibility of it containing evidence against them. Il Suk sends a hitman after Tae San. When the hitman confronts Tae San about the camera, Tae San realizes it must contain something important and remembers that Man Suk has it. In Hye learns the murder suspect Seung Woo is hunting down is Tae San. Tae San calls In Hye to tell her he didn't kill Mi Sook. He promises to be there for Soo Jin's surgery. In Hye shouldn't trust anyone or reveal her connection to Tae San. Seung Woo spots In Hye's number in Tae San's phone records and begins to connect the dots. He can't bring himself to ask In Hye about Tae San. Seung Woo uses Man Suk to set a trap for Tae San. Il Suk's hitman kills Man Suk. Tae San finds Man Suk's dead body. The hitman is about to attempt to kill Tae San when Seung Woo's phone rings. The hitman hides. Tae San goes outside and bumps into Seung Woo. Nell - Run (MBC Two Weeks OST) Ahn Ye Seul - Love Leaves (MBC Two Weeks OST) If I have an issue with this series, it's the poor attempts at humor. Tae San grabbing In Hye's boob to see whether she was human or a statue wasn't necessary. The lesbian joke about Jae Kyung was inappropriate. Using a hostage situation for comic relief was in poor taste. Tae San takes a mother and daughter hostage. He gets all offended that the mother thinks he might harm the daughter. He's a murder suspect on the run. What else are they supposed to think? There was nothing funny about that scene. Writer So Hyun Kyung would be better off leaving out the comic relief.

Info from eps 7 & 8. Il Suk pretends to be Tae San's friend and learns from Soo Jin that Tae San is still alive. Tae San heads for Busan to get on the boat. Jae Kyung and a police team, minus Seung Woo, head there to capture Tae San. He's taken into custody. Seung Woo learns from Il Do that Tae San is alive. They have him in custody and they're bringing him back to Seoul. Teacher Kim and Il Suk's thugs set a trap for them on the road. They're able to grab Tae San and get away. Jae Kyung goes after them in another car. Seung Woo goes to the scene of the accident. The police team fill him in on what happened. Seung Woo tracks Jae Kyung's location using the black box of the car she's driving. Jae Kyung tracks Il Suk and his thugs to an abandoned warehouse. She ends up being captured by them. Congresswoman Jo tells Il Suk to kill Tae San and Jae Kyung. Il Suk asks Tae San for the digital camera, making Tae San realize they don't have it either. Tae San creates a diversion outside the warehouse to escape with Jae Kyung. He tricks Jae Kyung into getting out of the car and takes off without her. Congresswoman Jo isn't happy to learn that Tae San and Jae Kyung got away. Il Suk heads back to Seoul to create an alibi for his whereabouts. Jae Kyung tells Seung Woo that she knows about his connection to In Hye and her connection to Tae San. He shouldn't let his emotions get in the way of his job. Tae San might have been framed. In Hye hears on the news about Tae San's good deeds during his stops while on the run. Tae San remembers Man Suk's girlfriend Young Ja and concludes she must have the camera. Tae San hitches a ride on a truck and heads back to Seoul. Congresswoman Jo uses traffic camera footage to accuse Jae Kyung with helping Tae San escape. She's pulled off the case. Tae San calls the police station from a pay phone. ---------------- Il Suk heard Tae San turn on the car from outside the warehouse. Yet his thugs couldn't hear the gun shots and were still looking for Tae San. It was dumb of Jae Kyung to get out of the car. She could have told Tae San everything she knew from the passenger seat. Since when do cops pull over and get out of the way of other cars? In Hye has only done 2 things so far that I've liked. The first was going to Tae San in an effort to save Soo Jin. She put her pride aside for the sake of their daughter. The second was scolding Tae San for eating the shrimp in the flashback. You should never eat something you're allergic to, even if you're trying to be polite. A person can die from a food allergy (or allergy of any kind really), if severe enough.

SOOOO, looks like you thought it was worth your time. (I'm studiously avoiding reading your posts on the specific episodes.) I'll tuck it into my "may watch" list.

Info from eps 9 & 10. Seung Woo defends Jae Kyung. He says Jae Kyung was with him. The cam footage showing her with Tae San is fake. Since Jae Kyung won't tell Seung Woo anything, he decides to investigate for himself who else is tied to Tae San's case. Tae San arranges a meeting with In Hye at the mall. The police plan to capture Tae San there. The "meeting" is really Tae San's plan to find out if In Hye is being bugged. An undercover cop tips off In Hye about what's about to go down. She leaves the mall and heads back to the hospital. Seung Woo spots In Hye. Tae San is able to get away from the police and Teacher Kim. Tae San meets with In Hye at the hospital. He has a favor to ask. Seung Woo goes to the hospital and confronts In Hye about what she was doing at the mall. Tae San returns to the hospital. He sees In Hye with Seung Woo. They both turn to look him. In Hye grabs and holds Seung Woo giving Tae San time to run away. Seung Woo is upset with In Hye for not trusting him and telling him about Tae San. Tae San is ashamed with himself for the position he's put In Hye in. Il Suk and his thugs connect the dots and discover that Tae San is Soo Jin's donor. Her surgery is scheduled for the same day as the charity auction. Jae Kyung meets with In Hye. She knows Tae San is innocent. If Tae San contacts In Hye again, she should ask him to turn himself in. Jae Kyung tells In Hye that Tae San went to jail 8 years ago. Now In Hye knows the reason why he left her back then. Seung Woo looks into Il Suk's connection to Congresswoman Jo and Tae San. He remembers seeing Il Suk at the hospital. He pays Il Suk at the hospital and warns him to stay away from In Hye and Soo Jin. Seung Woo meets with Hye. If Tae San contacts her again, she should ask him to turn himself in. He'll protect Tae San and work to prove his innocence. While hiding out at the pawn shop, Tae San watches webcam footage of thugs talking about the plan to frame him. Congresswoman Jo is running for mayor, which everyone, including Il Suk, finds odd. It was rumored she was planning to retire when her term was up. Tae San and In Hye arrange another "meeting". It's really a diversion so In Hye can get the digital camera from Young Ja. Seung Woo follows In Hye. The digital camera was sold to a college student. In Hye drives Tae San to his school. Tae San buys the camera back from the student. Kim Bo Kyung - Heart Hit MV (MBC Two Weeks OST) --------------------------------- K-Drama characters have odd ways of protecting the one they love. Sure, Tae San thought he was "protecting" In Hye when he broke up with her before going to jail. That doesn't change the fact that he abandoned his pregnant girlfriend and told her to get an abortion. How was that the best or only option? I don't know what's going to happen with the Tae San, In Hye and Seung Woo love triangle. I can't root for Tae San and In Hye though. I'm glad romance only plays a minimal role in the series. SOOOO, looks like you thought it was worth your time. (I'm studiously avoiding reading your posts on the specific episodes.) I'll tuck it into my "may watch" list. Add The Master's Sun too.

Seung Woo lets Tae San. Seung Woo leaves with In Hye and takes her back to the hospital. In Hye tells Jae kyung that they lost the camera. Il Suk has someone take the chip out of the camera and watches the recording of him and congresswoman Jo. Jae Kyung meets with Tae San. They clear the air. She hides him out at her place. They device a plan to catch Teacher Kim. Seung Woo and the police will be assisting. Tae San is supposedly turning himself in. Teacher Kim heads to the designated location. When Tae San arrives, he shoots him. Tae San pretends to dead and collapses to the ground. Teacher Kim is captured. Seung Woo is surprised to see Tae San down. Tae San gets up and runs off. Seung Woo chases after him. Jae Kyung calls Seung Woo and assures him it was all part of the plan. Tae San was wearing a vest and the blood was fake. Seung Woo goes and confronts Il Suk. They had a secretly made a deal. If Seung Woo helped them secure the camera, Il Suk would let Tae San live for Soo Jin's sake. Seung Woo realizes Il Suk never planned on holding up his end of the bargain. Jae Kyung interrogates Teacher Kim. It turns out his name is Martin Ramirez. He claims to be a student from France. Since they have nothing on Teacher Kim, they are forced to let him go. Tae San gets the bad news from Jae Kyung. Back to square one. Tae San wants to try and find the camera again. He believes Il Suk would keep it safely at home. Seung Woo and Jae Kyung go back to investigating Mi Sook's murder. They find security cam footage showing Il Suk arriving at Mi Sook's house the day she was murdered. They bring him in for questioning. Congresswoman Jo is informed that Il Suk has been detained. Tae San solicits Boss Han's help to break into Il Suk's house. Once inside, he finds Il Suk standing by the living room window. ------------------------------------ That was a horrible plan to catch Teacher Kim. If he had better aim, Tae San would be dead. I thought Seung Woo's involvement in this was kinda silly. There was no reason for him to make a deal with Il Suk. Why would he believe anything Il Suk says? And, you don't even tell him about the plan? UGH. I doubt Il Suk would have been released that quickly. Either he has a twin or Tae San is having a flashback. Dick Punks - It's This Person MV (MBC Two Weeks OST) Note: That's the name of the band. I'm not making it up.Toxic – Turning MV (MBC Two Weeks OST)

In Hye forgives Tae San for what happened in the past. Tae San and Jae Kyung plan to use the recordings to divide Il Suk and Dae Joon. Teacher Kim might be Boss Han's son. Il Suk warns Congresswoman Jo not to leave the country and let him take the fall for everything. If the auction is called off, she won't get the money she desperately needs. Tae San secretly meets with Congresswoman Jo in her office. Tae San pretends to strike a deal with her. Tae San's life, ensuring that Soo Jin gets to live, in exchange for catching Il Suk. Congresswoman Jo would get to walk. Jae Kyung snaps photos of their meeting from a nearby building. -------------------------------- I'm glad Seung Woo came clean about shooting Tae San and the deal with Il Suk. I'm still not sure what to make of the Tae San, In Hye and Seung Woo triangle. I get the feeling that either Tae San or Seung Woo will die in the end. If both survive, I think Seung Woo will step aside. Only 2 more episodes to go. The One - Don't Cry My Love (MBC Two Weeks OST)

from eps 15 & 16 (finale) Tae San works over Dae Joon to convince him Il Suk will betray him in the end. Dae Joon turns over Il Suk's bloodied shirt from the day he killed Mi Sook to the police. They go to arrest Il Suk but he manages to escape. He meets with Congresswoman Jo. She wants the auction to continue as planned. Director Im will handle everything in Il Suk's place. Il Suk gets word that Soo Jin's surgery has been moved a day. If he's going down, he wants to kill Tae San. He heads to the hospital with teacher Kim. He sneaks into operating room and pulls out a knife. It's a trap. Tae San, Jae Kyung and the police, including Il Suk's mole, are all in on it. Tae San isn't even in the operating room. Boss Han is in the other room that teacher Kim enters. Father and son are reunited at last. Il Suk manages to escape. Tae San chases after him. They fight in a junkyard. Tae San ties up Il Suk. He attempts to free himself using a lighter which causes an explosion. A wounded Il Suk is taken to the hospital. Tae San returns to the hospital. Soo Jin's surgery goes off without a hitch. The auction goes on as planned. Director Im buys the pieces with the smuggled drugs. After the auction, he's arrested in the parking lot. Congresswoman is taken into custody at the airport. Tae San is cleared of all charges. Jae Kyung has a meal alone and imagines Mi Sook being there with her. Il Suk, teacher Kim and congresswoman Jo are all in jail. Seung Woo and In Hye part ways. Tae San, In Hye and Soo Jin spend the day as a family. He wants to become a better person and atone for his past mistakes before he's a part of their daily lives. Tae San is walking down a dirt road when he hears Soo Jin's voice call out "dad". He turns and smiles. The end. ---------------------------------- Tae San was supposed be taking good care of himself. It was reckless of him to chase after Il Suk. I feel bad for Seung Woo but he did the right thing by stepping aside. I wasn't necessarily rooting for Tae San and In Hye to end up together but was glad everyone, especially Soo Jin, lived. I get the feeling that Jae Kyung was gay. I got that vibe going all the way back to ep 1. I think it was implied but they just didn't want to come right out and say it. I enjoyed the series despite its many flaws (plot holes, poor humor, writing flaws, good guy & bad guys taking turns playing dumb).
