soapy, thanks for the nice words--what kind of surgery did you have? Is this more of the vision stuff or was it something else? Hope you're doing okay.

@ ajk - you're welcome - - you do a marvelous job
My surgery this time was on my spine. I had Dr. Benson Yang, a neurosurgeon - and he is fantastic. the nerves of my lower spine were "frayed" - I was having problems standing in one spot for more than a minute - my legs would actually go numb from the knees down to my toes; couldn't walk more than around twenty steps and it would do the same; also the constant muscle spasms and cramps, and constant pain.
I was totally amazed at how LITTLE pain there was after the surgery. Having heard so many "horror" stories from others, What a pleasant surprise it was - The incision is only about an inch and half long - MICRO surgery I have an appt with him later today and Hope he will tell me it's okay to get back into the swim f things, literally. My arthritis water exercise classes
thanks for you're fine work here on our board. It has kept me focused on the story instead of my spine LOL
Looking forward to reading the next sumary - and thanks again ajk - as my grand kids alwasy say -- YOU ROCK

;D Yes, I have been very fortunate in having some FABULOUS surgeons. Dr. Mono for my eyes and Dr. Yang for my spinal problems. Just had my post-op appt with Dr Yang today and I am CLEARED to strt my work-out programs at the Y starting next monday and that includes swimming ;D ;D--- Dr Yang did say that part of my ability to heal so quickly is that I have been constatly active and moving and exercising even with the spinal stenosis. Working thorgh the pain isn't easy but it helps so much in the recovery process. so pass my spinach and hand me those free weights LOL wish I could do more to imrpove my eyesight as it is so fruustrating not to be able to read simple directions on most packaged foods.- Yesterday, I had to call my granddaughter, two doors down, to come over and read the instructions on a package of rice/pasta sides so I couod prepare it properly. Lucky for me that I have family living so close - if I move to a senior living center, I will need to make friends with my next door neighbors and hope THEY have good vision LOL Enjoying this series and most especialy ajk's summaries because even tho I hav watched a few episodes in advance, they make much more sense to me after I read his descriptive words. Even tho as truth and many others have pointed out - this script is mostly pure fictin, I like the story and Doekman's strength of character - can't wait until the showdown between her and the Big B - Mishil - should be a good episode. Everyone stay healthy, happy and strong - and enjoy QSD - aneyeo

glasses? LOL...
Now you're giving me that inspiration to ride my bike and keep active. I like reading the summaries too so I don't spoil anyone (although I'm only usually one episode ahead when I can manage to be ahead of the game at all).
