WOW --- he is a wonderful singer! Loved both of the songs -- but this reminds me on why I listen to BigBang so much, songs in English can just make me cry. How did you ever run across this singer? I could definatley see why you listen to these songs all day long...thanks for givng me something new to listen to. (Great to "hear" from you Knov )

Hey bird, you keep up on the boy bands, what is the big deal about this BTS hype? Like they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. Saw them on SNL and they didn't seem like anything special to me...what am I missing?

You are a little off base there, ajk--- the only "boy" band I keep up on is Big Band and I do not consider them a boy band at ALL! I've tried others, but nothing compares to Big Bang. Ok, now that I got that out of my system.... so many people come up to me and just assume I listen to BTS and I do not!! I don't think I have even listened to one full song of theirs. Personally, I think they are such a big thing because of social media. You know, right place, right time....big company promoting them..... When I have looked into other k-pop bands they all seem the same: a group of people that dance and then sing. I am so distracted by all the "fancy" dance moves it is hard to listen to the singing. Seeing one of these groups on the stage and then seeing BigBang on the stage, to me there is no comparison-- BigBang commands the stage. I will say that I read a couple articles in the paper about BTS and their lastest album is called "Love Yourself" and it sounds like they are promoting a theme of loving yourself and others --- and that seems to resound with their fan base, So if they can be a positive influence on the "teens" today, with a positive image, I will give them credit for that. In conclusion.....not a fan of BTS-- like you I don't think they are that big of a deal, but then again I'm not 12 years old either.....LOL (Are you sorry you asked me!?!??!)

Not at all bird--and I will remember your discriminating taste from now on....
Savvy marketing would definitely help explain it. And definitely if they have a message that people like to hear then that helps also (which can tie in with the marketing, but that's not to fault the message in any way). And they certainly wouldn't be the first group to get a boost from clever promotion.

Because I felt like I needed a more unbiased opinion, I watched BTS perform on Good Morning America today and I still feel like they are a "well-oiled" machine that dances and sings. There is really no interaction between members during their performance. IMHO it is almost like watching robots dance. Savvy marketing is a good definition.....and knowing the little I know about how bands are formed in SK, this to me is not hard to believe. I will give them a shout out for the positive message because in today's world many young people need to hear a positive message. Also, I will say that if I had heard of BigBang during their first years, I probably would not have been a fan for some of the same reasons-- but mostly because they were very hip hop in the begining, Taeyang was known as the singer that would perform without his shirt many times, their outfits were very similar, ect. ---BUT-- they were always smiling and really truly looking like they enjoyed being together as a friends and singing together, once BigBang was on a show and the hosts played a part of one of their songs and they had to demonstrate the dance moves for that song and at times they could not remember the moves and they said it is because now when they are on stage they are wanting to interact with their fans and have a good time. (and please don't worry about asking me about music at all, it is just a bit annoying when friends/relatives assume that I like all KPOP-- when if they spent a minute actually asking me they would know which group I REALLY like! So ask away....)

Isak's song Ending was used during season 1 of Marvel's Cloak and Dagger. After that, I searched for more of his songs on Youtube. Isak Danielson - EndingIf you want a really sad love song, listen to Goodbye. I can't listen to it too much or it affects my mood. NF - Goodbye

Good to hear from you again, knov. I really, really like Isak's voice, his songs are wonderful-- but I don't know if I could listen to him all the time-- the songs sound so sad-- after watching Bohemian Rhapsody, I got into listening to Queen again, but had to stop for awhile because some of the songs are just too sad for me to listen to. Keep the music coming-- always love to hear new things!

As I have "complained" about being overloaded with BTS, I thought I would add this story: I stopped by at a neighborhood Korean church that was having a car wash, as my car was being washed a young woman spent some talking to me-- first commenting on my "Hello Kitty" sticker and small plush in the windows and I told her how I watch Korean Dramas, listened to the korean band Big Bang..... and her next question??? "Have you heard of BTS"? I said that I of course had heard of them, but don't listen to them, but said I did like their positive image...... Also, I recently spent the day in China town with my daughter and there was a KPOP store there, I told her we had to go into the store even though I was sure I would not find anything I needed.....as we walked back out of the store, my daughter turned to me and said "You're right BTS is everywhere"! Can't wait for Big Bang to finish their army time and come out with new music......TOP finished his service time this week....so one done, 4 to go......

You didn't know about the BTS concert??? You really must not follow KPOP anymore-- if one more person asks me if I listen to BTS I think I will explode! Big Bang will be at Coachella in California this year and I am hoping for the biggest, most positive response ever from their fans and everyone else.......

Wait, let's get a camera set up first...so bird do you listen to BTS?
Wow that was interesting...Yeah don't ask her about BTS. I learned that lesson. But yes they're coming to Chicago in June and the ticket brokers are asking nearly $200 even for the cheap seats. To each his own, I guess. p.s. Hey, bird made a big bang
