That is true we are half way and very little seems to have actually happened aside from one bother killing his younger brother by sending a demon or shape shifting .
I think Tyrion Lannister has been the most interesting character so far .
Nothing much is happening with the night watch either i thought they would have a bigger role.
It is still a great show despite a slight anti climatic feel to the first 5 episodes .

Things moving along nicely now .
John Snow missing from the Nightwatch and captured by Wildings .
Alya's always one of the more interesting story lines as a page to Duke Lannister .
Best episode to date on season 2 but still need things to progress a wee bit faster considering we only have 10 episodes .

It's tough to believe we're already down to the S2 finale. Yesterday's episode was all about Stannis attacking King's Landing. It was written by GRRM himself. Only characters that played a role in the battle got any screen time.
I expect the finale to be different. There are still several loose ends including Dany and her missing dragons, Jon being held captive by the wildlings, Arya's escape, Theon being in control of Winterfell, and what Robb's next move will be.

That episode was directed by Neil Marshall of Centurion fame .
The other interesting point is Tyrion or half man was the Hero of the battle ,The King Jeoffrey runs off and takes a hike ,his mother gets drunk and the patriarch returns what will happen in Winterfell ?.
Actually i have found this whole season somewhat lacking ,it took 9 episodes for the war to happen and it just feels overall that little progress has been made and so many things have been dragged out . I heard but not to give any spoilers up and i do not think this is the case anyway Season 3 is meant to concentrate mainly on Dany .

HBO will have a GOT marathon on Saturday. They'll give all the S2 episodes before Sunday's big finale. The finale will be about 10 mins. longer than a normal episode.

One thing i learn is HBO may be slow out of the gate but they always pack a punch at the end .

The S2 finale had the most viewers of any GOT episode this season. I think the episode left you with more questions than it answered.
What exactly did Stannis see in the fire? What will happen with Jon now that's going to see the king beyond the wall? Will he join the wildlings and turn his back on the Night's Watch? You have the White Walkers marching on the wall. They haven't been seen for thousands of years. Will the wall be enough to keep them out? The younger Stark brothers are headed to the wall. Probably not the best time to be going there. What will be Theon's fate? What will be the consequences for Robb? He married Talisa when he already promised to marry the daughter of Walder Frey. I can't imagine that will make House Frey happy.
About the only thing we know for sure is that Dany was able to get her dragons back. Overall, not a whole lot happened in S2. The 2 biggest things that occurred in S2 were Renly's death and Stannis being defeated at King's Landing. I guess now we wait for S3 in April 2013.

Its funny how these shows go up and down 2011 Game Of Thrones SE 1 Amazing ....Borgia's SE 1 expected a lot more .
2012 Game Of Thrones SE 2 expected a lot more ....Borgia's SE 2 90 degree turnaround amazing .
Anyway as Knov pointed out not much really happened outside of Renly and Stannis ,i was really hoping we would see Jeoffrey get popped . It may be a while before questions are answered as from what i read Dany will be the major storyline in SE 3 .
The Bush head was allegedly unintentional but some Conservative pundits picked up on it and made a stink and claimed the drama has a secret Liberal agenda ,anyway HBO said sorry to Bush he accepted and offending footage has been removed .

Season 3 starts March 13th .
A couple of tid bits .. We have 5 Kings battling for the Iron Throne .
Dany raises her Army .
Tyreion is not to pleased Joffrey's body guard tried to off him during the battle .
White Walkers attack the wall .
Robb Stark of course broke his marriage vows .
Season 3 should up the ante from Season 2 .
Major plot changes coming no idea what ? and would keep mum if i knew ,everything i stated started in Se 2 and will be the major story lines for 3.

Here's a funny thing regarding Sean Bean. In LOTR, he played a major character who got killed. He plays a major character in this show which has been described as Middle Earth meets Sopranos (IDK) or at least Tolkien inspired, and once again is killed. Maybe he's attracted to those kind of roles
