Korean Language lessons/blogI happened on this while trying to find out what Dae Hak Ro is. This seems like a good site, especially if, like me, you need stuff poured into your brain in baby bites. Someone may have posted this already, if so, I apologize, but it's worth mentioning again. Bo

This site is great. Am going to order the Hangul language chart to hang in my office. Need to change up the wall,DYJ is getting tired, plus can try to learn the alphabet. The spoken portion of the short lessons are in real time, so if you meet a native speaker you hear something familiar, no need to ask, "Can you speak slower".? Hope to get through Level 1, but once gardening season starts all bets are off, but there is always the fall.

We'll accept the segue (and how often do you actually see that word in print?--looks funny, don't it) due to your first link having to do with Hangule. LOL...

Here's a language site that includes Korean: www.byki.com/lists/korean/basic-words-01.htmlThe lessons look extensive, but I don't know for sure that they are free. Oh, one tab at the top says Biki Express *free* and another says Products. The good thing is the recorded pronunciations in the free part. For some reason the page opened with the password filled in. ?? No user name was there, though. ??

;D Thanks Ginnycats; All of my Korean language lessons were blown away with the crash of my old computer -- yeah, I know - shame on me for no backup - I have been dealing with this laptorp and it is just as goofy as can be -- I am hoping to buy a desk top comp after Christmas -- maybe a good one on sale - well, I can hope anyway. This laptop has been doing ODD things by itself??? No kidding, My son-in-law russell, came down to check somthing on it and while he was sitting at the comp - no hands on the keyboard or the mousse - it changed screens and programs??? I said I was so happy it had happened while he was there because I think my kids think I'm a bit unwound and imagine stuff LOL After trying to use this laptop, my daughter Vicki agreed that it is time for desk top and leave the lap top for travel (that is if I don't throw it out the window before then) - . . . I have bookmarked this page and will be ab le to bring it up when I get a compuer I can rely upon. thanks again.

Here's another one: www.koreanclass101.com/It's a "free lifetime account" and I found out about it from the first lesson off of the first blog I posted in this thread. Today, I am having trouble with streaming speeds on the internet, so I hope this improves, but thought others might like to give it a try.

Ermagerrd! Look what myBob found for me! "Learn Korean Easy"I canna belief it! It really is easy! Did one of our guys post this? PS I love one comment at the end: "After about four or five panels I became convinced that the final panel would involve me laboriously spelling out "never gonna give you up"." Har. But this looks really helpful to me. PPS - Looking further, people are attributing this to someone named Ryan (not Erik, darnit) Estrada. I don't think that's one of our guys, is it?

"One dude sat down one day and made up the Korean alphabet"? Somebody needs to sit down and watch GKS!
But I'll give it a try...it reminds me of the TV show Wild Kratts.
