Just wondering, knov1, why are you so interested in this particular drama? Just by the preview, it seems like something I'd watch. It sounds similar to ABC's Revenge. It's darker than your average network drama so that alone intrigues me. Lee Yoo Ri is in it. I've been a fan of hers going back to This is Love [2001]. I made it thru all of Daring Woman, another Lee Yoo Ri daily drama, so I think I'll be fine with this one.

Isn't that drama usually called "So" This is Love? If so, which part did she play (not the name, the circumstance)? I figured there'd be a woman in the mix...

Isn't that drama usually called "So" This is Love? If so, which part did she play (not the name, the circumstance)? Yes. In So This is Love , Lee Chang Hoon falls for girl A. There's also a girl B in the picture. If I remember correctly, she was the younger sister of girl B. Interestingly enough, Lee Chang Hoon and Lee Yoo Ri played a couple in Daring Woman [2010]. I figured there'd be a woman in the mix... You know me so well lol. I like Yoo Ri but she's not someone I'd go out of my way to watch. If the story interests me, it helps if she's part of the cast. The only 3 actors I go out of my way to watch are So Ji Sup, Ha Ji Won and Kim Tae Hee.

I watched ep 1 of Yellow Boots. If you watched the extended preview, that's how the drama starts. With Yeon Hwa escaping and attempting to stop the wedding. After the fall, we're taken back to 3 months earlier. Yeon Hwa and Yoon Jae are still together. Yoo Ra, who is Yeon Hwa's stepsister, works for Yoon Jae. She doesn't like Yeon Hwa and doesn't want anything to do with her. I posted some screen shots below.

I watched the first 3 weeks [12 episodes] of this drama. As I mentioned above, ep 1 starts with Yeon Hwa escaping from jail. After the fall, we're taken 3 months back.
Yeon Hwa and Yoon Jae are dating. Yoon Jae is the president of a cosmetics company. Yeon Hwa gets a job there working with Yoon Jae's sister, Yoon Hee. Yoon Jae wants to marry Yeon Hwa. His dad only approves after Yoon Jae threatens to resign from the company.
Yeon Hwa and Yoo Ra are stepsisters. Yeon Hwa's mom married Yoo Ra's dad. Yoo Ra hates Yeon Hwa. Yoo Ra is Yoon Jae's secretary and is in love with him. When she finds out about Yoon Jae and Yeon Hwa, she wants to break them up. Because of Yoo Ra, Yeon Hwa is accused of being a corporate spy and is fired. Despite this, Yoon Jae believes Yeon Hwa is innocent.
Yoon Jae's sister Yoon Hee is pregnant and wants to marry her boyfriend Tae Il. Yoon Jae doesn't approve. Yoon Hee is accidentally run over by Yoo Ra, who flees the scene. A badly wounded Yoon Hee is found lying on the street by Yeon Hwa.
That's a short summary of the first 12 episodes. I'm guessing Yeon Hwa will be blamed for running Yoon Hee over. That's probably how she ends up in jail. What I'm curious about is, what will happen after Yeon Hwa and Yoo Ra fall off the roof [scene from preview]. If this drama is about Yeon Hwa's revenge, that tells me they both have to survive the fall. Yellow Boots is a cable drama so it isn't getting the ratings of a typical network drama but seems to be well received so far.

I'm probably just talking to myself here but I'll continue from where I left off. This post will cover eps 13 to 21.
Yoo Ra tells everyone that Yeon Hwa ran over Yoon Hee. Yeon Hwa proclaims her innocence but only Yoon Jae and her mom seem to believe her. Yoon Hee survives the accident. She knows it was Yoo Ra who struck her but can't speak. Therefore, everyone continues to think it was Yeon Hwa. While Yoon Hee is left alone with Yoo Ra, she falls off her hospital bed and dies. Yeon Hwa finds her on the floor. Yoo Ra hides so no one knows she was in the room at the time.
The detective investigating Yoon Hee's accident figures out that it was really Yoo Ra who caused it but she wants Yeon Hwa to take the blame. He accepts a bribe from Yoo Ra to keep quiet and they frame Yeon Hwa for the accident.
Yeon Hwa is arrested and goes on trial. Yoon Jae continues to believe Yeon Hwa is innocent and has the family attorney defend her. Yoo Ra and the detective testify during the trial. They both lie on the stand to make Yeon Hwa look guilty. As the trial goes on, Yoon Jae becomes less convinced of Yeon Hwa's innocence and breaks up with her. Yeon Hwa is convicted and sent to jail. Yeon Hwa vows to get back at Yoo Ra for lying on the stand about the accident.
I'm guessing the drama will forward in time to the present (the events mentioned above happen in 2007) and Yeon Hwa will get out of jail somewhere around ep 30.

Thank you for summarizing the episodes so far. I've been stalking the internet trying to see if there was any recaps. Your posts have been very helpful in watching the episodes raw. Thanks again.

An important detail I left out is that Yoo Ra comes clean to her dad about Yoon Hee's accident, framing Yeon Hwa for it and the corporate spy matter (in ep 20). She's forced to do so because the corrupt detective wants more money from her. The dad becomes suspicious of why she needs so much money out of the blue and she comes clean about everything. Not sure what the dad plans to do but his first instinct seems to be to protect Yoo Ra. Thank you for summarizing the episodes so far. I've been stalking the internet trying to see if there was any recaps. Your posts have been very helpful in watching the episodes raw. Thanks again. Glad you're watching the drama. You have no idea how ecstatic I was to read your post. I wasn't sure if anyone was going to bother to read this thread. I was posting mostly to use this as reference in case DramaFever ever adds Yellow Boots. My Korean is limited but I generally get the gist of what's going on. From now on, I'll update this thread on a weekly basis. Id really watch this it sounds really good id watch it in a heartbeat . It is good but, to be honest, the early part of the drama has followed the typical K-Drama formula, with a slightly darker edge to it. I think what everyone is waiting for is Yeon Hwa's transformation. Just by the preview clip alone, viewers in Korea raved about Yeon Hwa and wanted to see more of her. It's not every drama that a female lead breaks out of jail to crash a wedding. If the drama forwards in time to 2012 like I believe it will, that gives Yeon Hwa 5 years in jail to plot her revenge. 5 years might sound short for someone charged with murder but I'm guessing something will happen (new evidence perhaps?) that allows her to get out early.

Thank you for willing to recap weekly. Just a question - is Yeon Hwa pregnant whilst she is in jail? Is Yoo Ra sterile?
I am also trying to see if there is recap/summary for Can Love Become Money (TvN drama). Any chance of giving a quick summary if you are watching. 1st episode seems interesting.

Thank you for willing to recap weekly. Just a question - is Yeon Hwa pregnant whilst she is in jail? Is Yoo Ra sterile? No, I don't think so (to both questions). I could be wrong but I think Yeon Hwa is just sick. I am also trying to see if there is recap/summary for Can Love Become Money (TvN drama). Any chance of giving a quick summary if you are watching. 1st episode seems interesting. The only K-Dramas I'm currently watching are Yellow Boots and Love Rain.

from eps 22 to 24
Yeon Hwa tells her mom and Soo Ae that she suspects Yoo Ra framed her. Yeon Hwa asks her mom to look for clues/evidence that might prove she's innocent.
J Cosmetics is struggling to come up with new ideas for products. Yoo Ra steals an idea from Yeon Hwa and presents it to Yoon Jae as her own.
Yoo Ra's grandma backs Yoon Jae at work in hopes of getting him to marry Yoo Ra. She also wants Yeon Hwa's mom and Soo Ae out of the house.
While going thru Yoo Ra's room, Yeon Hwa's mom finds a notebook belonging to Yeon Hwa. It's the notebook Yoo Ra stole the idea from. When confronted about it, Yoo Ra claims she was only looking at it and meant to put it back.
Soo Ae looks thru Yoo Ra's phone and finds detective Park Chang Du's number. When Yeon Hwa receives a note from her mom with his name and number, she concludes that Yoo Ra and Park Chang Du must have worked together to frame her. (Makes sense because when Yeon Hwa confronts Yoo Ra at the wedding, she sends Yoo Ra a text as if it were from Park Chang Du.)
During the board meeting, the date on the wall was January 2007. It's been about a month since Yoon Hee died. The wedding and Yeon Hwa's prison escape happen in February. So, we should be getting to that soon.

Is it possible to tell me regarding Yoon Hee's boyfriend? Does he believe that Yeon Hwa is innocent? What is his background? He seems to be beaten up by some gangsters. Does he owns shares in the cosmetic company?
