This thread is for discussion of episode 5 of The Musical. Please check the drama info & schedule thread for more info and rules on how to avoid spoilers and such.
---------------------------------------------------------
Kang Hee chooses Eun Bi. Jin informs her she got the part. Eun Bi is surprised by the decision.
A workshop is held for the musical cast and crew. To everyone's surprise, Kang Hee is participating.
Kang Hee helps Eun Bi with her training, vocals and gives her general advice during the workshop. Everyone, including Jae Yi, is shocked at how nice she's being to Eun Bi. Bok Ja wonders if she has an ulterior motive.
Jae Yi attempts to warn Eun Bi that Kang Hee isn't what she seems but Kang Hee is her idol and Eun Bi doesn't want to hear it.
After having seen Jae Yi and Eun Bi together the night before, Jin tells Jae Yi that he should show more interest in the project, instead of just on Eun Bi.
Jae Yi asks Kang Hee why she's being so helpful to Eun Bi. Kang Hee responds that it's to get Eun Bi away from him. That if Eun Bi's dream is to become a musical actress, she can help her do that. If Jae Yi stands in her way, then he was never truly interested in helping Eun Bi realize her true potential.
After Jin interrupts an interview Ra Kyung is doing with Eun Bi, Eun Bi asks Jin if he hates her. Jin responds that he doesn't. He's simply indifferent. He asks Eun Bi if she has an issue with everyone not loving her. Eun Bi apologizes for jumping to conclusions.
Ra Kyung overhears the conversation between Eun Bi and Jin. She later tells Jin that Eun Bi reminds her of Jin's father. That it must be why Jin appeared vulnerable in front of Eun Bi and showed her a side of him that Ra Kyung has never seen. Jin responds that if Ra Kyung is concerned that he might be interested in Eun Bi, he's not.
While video taping a game the cast is playing outside, Ra Kyung is accidentally pushed to the ground and her sweater catches on fire.
---------------------------------------------------------
No surprise that Kang Hee chose Eun Bi. The real shocker would have been if she hadn't gotten the part.
I'm with Jin on Jae Yi paying more attention to the entire project and not just Eun Bi. As a separate thing, Eun Bi and Jae Yi are fine. I have no issue there. When you take everyone else into account, that's when I have a problem with the favoritism he shows her.
