Episode 47
Great. Another Gyeokgu match lol.
Choi Ui has appeared for the first time and he's not fat.
Kim Kyung Son, Kim Mi, Dae Jip Sung and his daughter, and Oh Seung Jeok are all about to be killed off soon.

Wonder why Cho'e Ui isn't fat. Couldn't find a fat actor? Needed a pretty boy to attract more shallowminded viewers? Maybe they should have hired the actor for Godo

That guy can never play an evil person. He looks too innocent to play Choi Ui. Kim Jong Un would have been the best choice for Choi Ui in my opinion though lol I think Lee Hwan Gyung should write for a KBS historical after King's Dream ends. Some people say that he lost his touch, but he is 100 times better than writers of Gwanggaeto, Geunchogo, and Iron Empress, so KBS should just sign him for a new historical. What do you think would be a good topic if he ever writes for KBS after King's Dream, or for any other broadcast stations? Lee Hwan Gyung prefers to do Koryo historical over any other period, so here are my suggestions : Emperor Sookjong(the King Sejo of Koryo) Chuck Joon Gyung Myocheong Sambyeolcho Rebellion(which would include final years of warrior regime by Yim Yeon and Yim Yumu) A historical covering the Mongol Colony Period

In my opinion, Sambyeolcho Rebellion should be a really gray series. Lee Hwan Gyung as exelscior mentioned is best at writing archetype stories (though was Tears of the Dragon a gray series?)
Myocheong seems interesting. A clash of beliefs.
What's Chuck Joon Gyung about?
We need some more old fashioned material.

Sambyeolcho of course .
Ok going back to Dae Jo Young there was an episode where Choi is hanging in a Market Square and this kid try's to give him water .The kid would grow up to become a famous Tang General leading a unit of former Goguryeo Warriors fighting for Tang ,SBS were going to do a series on this guy who ever he is and considering Chinese just cannot get it together to do a decent depiction of Empress Wu let KBS do it in this drama .
Ok my memory is not working but the 6th King of Goguryeo the first of the Ko line .

@sageuk you know how in some sageuks, one guy unrealistically fights against like 20 opponents sometimes? Well, Chuck Joon Gyung actually did that for real. For one example, he once went into Jurchen camp by himself and beheaded 12 Jurchens to rescue Koryo hostages. He is basically the Lu Bu(from Romance of Three Kingdoms) of Koryo as his story with Yi Ja Gyeom is similar to Lu Bu's story with Dong Zhuo in addition to his fighting skills. He is nicknamed the Swordmaster by Korean history buffs lol.
@dyc That guy should be considered Chinese, not Korean. He just has a Goguryean heritage. That's probably why they decided not to do a drama on him.

Yi Seung Gyu, the actor of Kim Hong Chui(one of Yim Yeon's buddies), was killed in an motorcycle accident on August 11th(August 10th in USA). He got in an accident while he was driving home on his motorcycle after watching Korea vs Japan soccer match. He was 32 on the time of his death. Rest In Peace. Yeah i missed it the other day ...silly me And Bo hope your boss catches you laughing while reading this not that he will raise his voice in fact seems to advocate his employees watching dramas on his dime .

I believe this show was originally supposed to be 50 episodes. Anyone know how many there are going to be now? Since we're already at 49, seems like 50 can't possibly be the last one.

Well then, I guess that leaves enough time for Choi Ui to fatten up.
