Someone should have mentioned this earlier, but God of War also has the best theme song I've heard in a long while in a historical. The only problems with it is the maybe the title, but even then tis a scratch, and it isn't played enough in the drama. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW2qLO1vX3sAnybody wanna know what the opening sequence is like? I can't find it but its an animation sequence zooming out of the tobang building, silhouettes of soldiers killing each other, Kim Jun swinging his sword at the screen, cut to footage of the drama, particularly the polo games. They don't show that on the link episodes but they do on TV

I really really like the theme music. As for "Parting Ways," truth, although it is nice, it seems just like one of those sentimental songs you hear on Korean dramas. Nothing special. (Sorry) However, I think the singer has a very nice voice, I wouldn't mind hearing him sing other songs (songs which I would hope would be more interesting to me...LOL...).

Haha, the only reason I like the song is the singer actually lol. He's one of my favorite singers. You should check out his other songs if you like the singer. I've never been a huge fan of kpop songs. They usually have the same subject involving romance and love. If there was a drinking game trying to catch how many "sarang"s (love) is said, the people playing it would probably be dead. I will say though I've occasionally run into songs I do like.
I'm the kind who likes music without lyrics. SOmething about those songs are just timeless

The thing for me is that every time a kpop song pops out, it always comes off as "IT'S SAAAD THIS PART IS SAAAAAD YOU SUPPOSED TO FEEL BAAAAD RIGHT NOW WHOOHOOHOOHOOTROLOLOLOLO BUY MY ALBUM"-as if they're trying to bluntly get that message across

I didn't like it, because the chorus part sounds almost 98% same as chorus part of the War of Money(2007,one of my favorite dramas) OST A Year like a Day by Bobby Kim. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AONzXlFKxo

Is one of the english titles of this drama really "Military Official"? What an utterly drab title.

Military Official? Really? That's the first I've heard it. Its other English titles, Soldier, and God of War, are taken from American products. Soldier, a 1998 sci-fi action film, and God of War, the Greek myth themed video game. Of course the main character is no Kratos

yes sageuk. The titles are also included Military Official , but seem like it's not appeared even once. Soldiers is the official heading but it's less popular than God of War.

The show's been canceled again this week due to the Olympics.
It is supposed to be back next week, but I think they might get canceled again.

I like the soundtracks but not the pop songs though the one in God Of Warriors is ok much prefer the instrumental scores .
The title of God Of Warriors in the MBC America broadcast is just Warrior .
