Nikita returns for a 6 episode final season on Friday, November 22. NBC picked up The Blacklist for the entire season. FOX renewed Sleepy Hollow for a 2nd season. David Letterman will continue hosting the Late Show through 2015. ABC cancelled Lucky 7 after 2 episodes. I'm not watching anything you list there, but I am watching an anime on Hulu about a kind of superhero high school city, called A Certain Scientific Railgun. As usual with Anime, odd, fun, faintly disturbing.... I forget Hulu exists. I'm sure they'd love to hear that lol. They have a lot more anime available for viewing than I would have thought. I see they have season 1 of Infinite Stratos and Valvrave the Liberator. They also have Attack on Titan and Sunday Without God. Attack on Titan is about humans fighting giants. A lot of people die. That's expected when you're fighting giants the size of multistoried buildings. The anime ends on episode 25 but the manga is still ongoing. We can expect a 2nd season at a later time. Sunday Without God is a 12 episode series about the adventures of Ai Astin and her makeshift family. God abandoned the world on a Sunday. People stopped dying. Ai wants to save the world. The manga is still ongoing so the anime version got its own ending.

I was very surprised that Letterman renewed for two more years. Actually I think his contract was up last month and he's still been working, so it looked like he was probably negotiating for an extension. But I figured it would be one year at most.
He said something unusual one night last week--that at this point in his life he was glad to have someplace to go every day. That must explain the two years.

CBS cancelled We Are Men. ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be sticking around for a full season. A couple of screen shots of Emily Bett Rickards (as Felicity Smoak) and Summer Glau (as Isabel Rochev) from the S2 premiere of Arrow.

NBC cancelled Ironside and Welcome to the Family. Ironside's time slot will be taken by the new series Chicago P.D. beginning on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Favorite quotes from the week. "Sorry, Pookie." - Carol to Daryl in the season 4 premiere of The Walking Dead "And I love spending the night with you." - Felicity to Oliver on Arrow Ha! That's not what it sounds like. "Everybody gets to stay and work and I have to go to Hawaii." - Sydney on The Crazy Ones Yeah, what a bummer.

The Crazy Ones stinks. It really, really stinks. Maybe if Mad Men didn't exist, Robin Williams would "pop" more, but that first meeting--was it Pepsi?--just read like a bad ripoff, with no payoff moment. Maybe if they didn't have an actual Mad Men cast member, it would work better? What a waste of Sarah Michelle Gellar.
I can't believe they canceled Welcome to the Family, because it's really cute, but that always happens to shows I like.
I hate when I have to go to Hawaii. Hyuck-yuck-yuck.

The Client List was cancelled by Lifetime. ABC cancelled Back In The Game but picked up Trophy Wife and The Goldbergs for a full season. Showcase released new pix and promo for season 4 of Lost Girl. It begins airing on Sunday, November 10. Lost Girl Season 4 PromoBo is washing the car with the top down. Lauren stares as her ice cream melts. The only thing that could make this promo better is if Dyson wasn't in it. Anna Silk looks amazing for someone who just had a baby. You know who else is amazing? Zoie Palmer. She's the main reason I watch Lost Girl. Doccubus!

Wish NBC would cancel Dracula ,it makes Twilight seem like Nosferatu . Like Nosferatu how? Old fashioned? Unconvincing? Really creepy? I'm not fond of What's-his-name's mustache, I must say. www.imdb.com/title/tt2296682/This IMDB page says his name is Alexander Grayson. That link has a devastating review of the show. I missed all of the points mentioned in this summary, if they ever explained them in the first show. www.imdb.com/title/tt2296682/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl Also, he really left a mess after he fed off his victim. No tidy little puncture wounds for him. :-P From the carnage, I'm guessing he doesn't seduce his victims first, like George Hamilton did. Unless he switches tactics after he begins...? yuck.

Probably many have already heard of/seen this--can't find a place for it on our board but it's geek amusement. Like, Bo liked it.The transcript is clearly edited, but you can skim down and catch the "good bits" too. Cute.

Nosferatu (1922) was the template for all Vampire films to aspire to emulate (though i preferred the 1979 remake with the late Klaus Kinski doing what he does best ie being a weirdo ), and Twilight being the bottom of the barrel . Johnathan Rhys Meyers is the latest Drac ,i thought he was great as Henry VIII in The Tudors ,and he has some great little films under his belt (like The Tribe ..1995 ,where he plays the leader of a group of good looking Goth Squatters ,who upon encountering an agent of property developers who want them out ,seduce him to their life style....yes Netflix have it . ). Alexander Grayson is Dracula actually ,he is pretending to be an American gadget developer . The show is well made ,very good looking ,pretty liberal on the blood for regular TV ,but the story stinks ,and of course Drac is Vlad The Impaler (no actual connection between the two ,Stoker just used the name without knowing anything about Vlad ) .

Wait. They did a remake of the Magnificant Ambersons? How'd I miss that? (I looked up JRM.)
Yeah. That Klaus Kinski had a real lockdown on weirdity.

MyNetworkTV got exclusive syndication rights for AMC's The Walking Dead. They'll begin airing reruns of the popular zombie series in the fall. Locally, MyNetworkTV is channel 50-1. www.my50chicago.com

The new fall TV season is here. What will you be watching? I included premiere dates for shows I'll be watching. Must Watch: Modern Family (ABC, Wednesday, September 24), The Walking Dead (AMC, Sunday, October 12), Lost Girl (Showcase/SyFy, Sunday, December 7), Game of Thrones (HBO, Spring 2015) Season 5 will be the final season for Lost Girl. It'll be 16 episodes. To Watch: Boardwalk Empire (HBO, Sunday, September 7) I would have probably dropped Boardwalk Empire but it's the final season. Might Watch: Gotham (FOX, Monday, September 22) Gotham is the only new show that looks interesting. I remember when this list used to be much longer.
