Another fine offering in this series of little one hour gems. This evening's story revolves around three seemingly separate tales of love, yet upon closer examination, the actions of the participants in the actual love stories have serious effects on the failure of one of the other three tales. In many respects, I am finding these miniatures to be much more satisfying than their primetime counterparts.
A high school teacher is the object of a serious crush by one of his students, which is only fueled by the attention he pays to the introverted young girl. As the teacher is reacquainted with his first love in the second story, this causes him to become a disappointment to the young high schooler and vanquish her infatuation for him. In the third story, the young son of the teacher's first love becomes friends with the younger sister of the high school student and they begin a grade school "love affair", only to have it dashed on the rocks when the mother moves away, taking her son with her. A chance meeting on the street between the boy and the teacher enables the boy to steal the teacher's wallet, and the teacher being called to the police station to claim his returned property leads to the incident which disillusions the high school girl. In the end, the teacher ends up marrying a co-worker from the high school who has had a crush on him for 3 years. The wedding takes place in the church where the two youngest "lovers" have just made a promise to reunite in that spot in 10 years just prior to the boy moving away with his mother and just after sharing their first kiss.
The interesting way that each story is first told from one perspective, and then revisited in the following story to give the viewer a totally different aspect of the exact same circumstances, was quite interesting.
I'm truly glad that this show is subtitled and look forward to the stories each Friday night. Occasionally, there has been a story that didn't have the ending that I hoped it would, but this far less of an investment in time than the primetime dramas. Besides, if Charlie Rose has a good guest on Friday, I know that I can catch the rebroadcast on Monday afternoon, whereas the Sunday repeat of Drama City is not assured with the same regularity.

I also watched and loved this one. It seems that we may be the only ones watching. I even tape them, because they are often very good. The dramas seem to be getting better lately after a few duds. The storytelling through the perspective of each person was very good writing.

Captain Video, are we still the only ones watching Drama City? I really liked last weeks "In a Fog", and this weeks "His Story, Their Story". If any one else is watching these really good dramas let us know. They are worth staying up for, or in my case, taping and watching at a later date.

So the stories have been good as of late? I was an avid Drama City watcher, but the stories just kept getting more and more stupid, some didn't make sense, I don't know if while filming the stories, the directors lost their sense of direction or if it's just bad editing, but they've been pretty bad, so I gave up on Drama City...I'll give it another go...hopefully they'll win back my interest....When are the air time again?

By the way, I hope that you caught my tardy response to your request for the ending of the episode in which your tape cut out. Keep watching and enjoying, I know I will.
