The intro to this show is fantastic. Really complements the idea that this is a TV show about a TV show.
Isn't it ironic that a battle between two corporate giants is precipitated by petty competition between brother and sister--both fairly low level employees. I am totally loving this family, as I said.
The rookie is a cutie pie, isn't he. Sorta slimy, in desperate need of knocking down a few pegs, but a cutie nonetheless, and a pretty good fit in this role. And Wujin's superior is spot on as the girl who had everything in high school and college but is unable to process anyone else getting the limelight. What a beaaatch.
My favorite line in this episode, hands down? Regarding the cops: "Bring them bread. They love bread." Har.

Short description of Episode 2:
Wujin tricks the cops into telling her the truth about the tape and eventually retrieves the original, ruined. Taesok is satisfied that she found it. She also tells her brother, a reporter for a big newspaper, her troubles (in confidence). The brother reports to his boss about the fight with the police captain, which had been hushed up by GBS, and there is a huge scandal about "violent" GBS television employees when the paper publishes it (not using the brother's name). GBS is all in an uproar trying to find something they can use against the newspaper. Meantime, Wujin has a new rookie working as her flunky; he knows her from college and consequently does not observe the proprieties of their positions. She sets him straight. There is discussion of an old scandal involving Taesok's father, who was a congressman of some sort. Taesok has a folio of clippings about a bribery incident involving his father. In the meantime, there are scenes of Wujin's family life where we get to know how things work there--lots of room for funny. Also, Wujin gets a call from Criminal Jang and agrees to meet with him. Finally, Taesok, after witnessing Wujin being chewed out pretty viciously by her immediate supervisor, anonymously sends Wujin incendiary info about the rival newspaper's owners. She immediately goes to spy on the owner's estate, which is illegally built on public land. As a result, Taesok gets a helicopter to film a report and takes Wujin with him to film the commentary. The last scene is her getting ready to report.
