Elaine,
Thanks for the warning on the subtitles. Do you remember which online firm you bought it from?

I agree, Elaine. I have mentioned this elsewhere, ad nauseum, but I've been famously burned by Dim Sum dvds, now calling themselves dsdvds.com, with a copy of Lovely Samsoon so incredibly garbled (starting from episode 1) that it was unintelligible, and then I got Lucifer from there or elsewhere with the same thing you talk about, Elaine, great for Eps 1 and 2, then garbled Korean-to-Mandarin or Cantonese-to-English to the end. All of the names were changed to Chinese names, I could not tell who was who or what the heck was going on.
On the other hand, sometimes you get lucky.

I found it online at a site called Mallkee.com. I've never dealt with the site before so I can't tell you how good they are but the prices are very reasonable. I'll post when I get the DVDs to let you know the quality. I recently bought Boys After Flowers (titled Boys BEFORE Flowers) through Mallkee. Good price (ecoomic edition) Well, the first 20 episodes were really good. Beyond that thru Episode 25 the translation changed to Chinese... different names. I didn't have a clue what was going on. I went online to watch the conclusion. I recently ordered Lovers in Paris and have a bad feeling that the same thing will happen. I guess it's true - you get what you paid for. I was able to order the OST to Lovers in Paris and Boys Over Flwoers and am pleased with my purchase thru eBay.

I borrowed my friend's Lucifer that he bought through a third-party seller on Amazon, which he had not yet seen. And now I have the sad duty to tell him that he got the same pirated, partly Korean to Chinese to English subtitles that I did. Sigh.

A real surprise, enjoyed it. now I am watching via "mysojo COMRADES with of course my all time favorite -the great Mr. Choi Soo Jong...it is much to bloody for me, but that is war and naturally I cannot give up watching my favorite CSY... Hi Jolson1933, it's good to hear from you again! Speaking of computer whizzes, or not being one, here's a line that sounds like me (but on simple things, not Word, which I think is scary): 13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Microsoft Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to. ;D Yeah - Corel WordPerfect does the same thing - it's just a way of reminding you that in case you DID MAKE CHANGES you have to save them before you exit that document - - it is a sort of fail-safe thing they put into WP programs for those of us who sometimes FORGET to save and just exit the document. I have found that is an actual useful question - I also learned to SAVE during a revision of a document - as I go - just in case the comp has a seizure - as in freezing or a power failure, you'll lose any revisions or new material from the last save. So when doing a long document, it's best to save every couple of pages. . I learned the hard way - after doing an 11 page legal memorandum and having a power failure at our office, I lost seven pages of that document. A- bitter lesson but one I am not likely to ever repeat - I am so glad I don't have to bother with that now that I'm retired - So go ahead and just click save/yes and be done with it - it will not change anything you didn't change - it's just sort of your insurance for the "in case" --
