Cool links there and very relevant. I came across a lot of info on this series while trying to find Path of the Great Dynasty/King of the Wind/The Great King's Road, the 1998 series. This looks like another one worth tracking down - it's funny how the same story looks so different. Thanks, DYC!

Thanks DYC for the links. ^^ The actress who played Jang Hee Bin looked more scary than the one in in Dong Yi. Evil.

Here is one of my faves its DAE MANG /GREAT AMBITION (if only id recorded this )aside from unleashing Jang Hyuk and Lee Yo Won on the world ,the plot (not too far from a Joseon Dynasty Baker King only more tragic )is about two sons from a merchant family that takes opposite sides in a rebellion the older becomes a cold blooded assassin and the younger a pacifist merchant . www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlZ0Afgda30

"Nopunaga" is Japanese, right? I have to say, I always love the flag poles. I keep thinking, if they carried those around on their backs and stuff, wouldn't it be a good idea to target those poles if you were the enemy? The shouting of conversation is entertaining, as well. Bo PS - It actually looks pretty good, but that's a rotten transfer, very hard to see. I couldn't figure out why I instantly liked the guy who plays advisor Naito in the initial scene, until I realized he reminds me of Lee Soon-jae. My hero.

It was a really great drama ,Hideyoshi is depicted as an over achiever/yes man . The battle itself was when the young Nobunaga defeated the 50,000 strong Imagawa with an army of only 2000 by catching them while having a tea break . The print is not that good its a composite of prints from NYC and Hawaii ,sadly its the only English Subtitled Print around The whole drama is depicted from the point of view of the Jesuits whom Nobunaga sponsored to get at the Buddhist Monk Armies who supported his enemy's . Three great scenes are (1)Nobunaga pretends to be dying than stabs his over reaching younger brother to death as the later rolls up expecting to be named heir. (2)After putting the slimy Shogun in power the Shogun enters into a secret alliance with Nobunaga's enemy's ,when Nobunaga finds out he chases the Shogun out of Kyoto in his underwear . (3)Building his famous castle at Azuchi Momoyama ,Nobunaga meets the Jesuit Priest Luis Frois ,dressed in his leopard skin vest he catches two workers slacking off and beheads them with one sword strike than ask's the priest his opinion on lazy people . Im pretty sure the whole drama is on you tube ,anyone who like's K Historical's will enjoy this despite the print . back to Jang Hee Bin wiki.d-addicts.com/Jang_Hee_Bin the most recent version aired as Royal Story in 02-03 did not see the Character of Dong Yi listed (KBS did not have a Dong in their hearts )but i only looked for her under that name.

Here is a clip from Womans World rather Ladies In The Palace www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtHh4eNptmgStill the highest rated Historical K Drama to date ,inc of course all of Asia . I have never seen this but from the sheer number of women oriented Historical's that followed ,it must have had a great impact.
