May as well start 'er up. August 14 & 15, 2010 3200-3400 W Bryn Mawr Ave Here's: the Yelp (!!!!) pageInfo on 2010 K-pop contest (I think)There's a page on Time-Out, but it really doesn't give you any info and it sports a bogus link ("k-festival.com") that takes you to a parking lot. (A parking lot is a web page that claims to be for a certain subject, but just contains a lot of links to other pages.) For those of you interested in the nearby Midwest Buddhist temple: 2010 Ginza Holiday, Aug 13-15, 2010I hope others will add to this information. Bo

Festival queen? You got your crown ready, Chigirl? I know you have one...
Why do people do Facebook pages for public events? They're not publicly accessible! Oh, well.

Festival queen? You got your crown ready, Chigirl? I know you have one... Why do people do Facebook pages for public events? They're not publicly accessible! Oh, well. Bo I just Googled (heh! Chicago Korean Street Festival, and the Facebook entry was the second entry. Butit was for another year, with no details. www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=61219965200 How weird. Most of the other finds were from prior years, though. That's a shame; how will people find it? This is for 2009: www.centerstagechicago.com/festival/koreanfest.html Good thing they always have it in the same place, anyway.

I'm not having any luck in finding a schedule. "This domain k-festival may be for sale by its owner" www.k-festival.com/ and that's the website linked at Time Out Chicago chicago.timeout.com/events/city-picks/62069/4009438/chicago-korean-festivalThis one www.k-festival.com/ is the same, but I clicked on it from ckacc.org/ on the pretty 14th** Annual Korean Festival poster and got something different, but it looks like >:(spam , so I'm not going to click on anything from that page. Topics are Party, Tickets, Dance, Stratford Festival: nothing to do with the Korean Festival. **oops, the 14th annual fest. was in 2009. This might work, if someone wants to be on stage, but there isn't much information there: www.chikorean.com/kpop-singers-and-dancers-wanted-for-korean-fest-2010/I will not join Twitter, so I can't check out how useful this is: twitter.com/ChicagoKFestchicago.metromix.com/events/fair_festival/chicago-korean-festival-north-park/2080905/contentYou have to sign up to use this one, too: www.facebook.com/ChicagoKoreanFestivalI don't know why the festival hasn't put up a schedule. Too bad no one can find out anything. I'm not joining the tweeters. bah, now I'm getting grumpy.
