Just a thought maybe after this is over we should give this space over to "Queen SeonDeok "which seems to be mega popular to say the least .
Btw the next KBS Historical Drama "Reputable Family "which starts in Jan ,a fictional story about late Joseon Dynasty Philanthropist's looks about as exciting as a nap .

Yes, by all means, everyone, go over to Mysoju or Viikii and check out Queen Seonduk. After starving yourselves on IE, QSD will truly be a feast.

DYC, there is an active discussion thread for Queen Sundeok in "Other Shows." We're not putting up a forum because we're hoping that we'll eventually get back to having Korean series that run out of Chicago locally, so we're hanging tight on revamping the board. So for now, those series are in Other Shows. Queen SundeokBo

For those of us that watch WMBC TV Channel 63 in the NY/NJ area, the new drama starting tonight is Three Brothers, according to the person that just answered the phone when I called the station...

Saw the first Three Bros epi last nite. Seems like standard, contemp K-drama but the characters are interesting so far, and the story line may be a bit more modern. One young woman loses her falsie. (That's what we used to call those foam inserts inside a brassiere). A man finds it, hands it to her, and she stuffs it back in right in front of him!
Hope this isn't a spoiler.

According to dramawiki, Three Brothers is 50 + episodes - it started in Korea the middle of October and is on going there.....
I liked the first episode as well although I was a bit confused, as usual, about who was who....
puppy, that part was very funny!

Its worth sticking with ,we are up to Ep 14 ,At first i thought it was a typical soap and to an extant it is but it also has some very very twisted characters .

Thanks Mara and Domyoung. I certainly CAN stick out 50+ epis since Brothers and ChaChaCha are all I get in NYC unless I pay extra for KBS America which according to the promos, is a lot of news, game shows, religion, and not enough dramas to make it worth while..

KBS America is about $22 more a month. Do you think it's worth it, domyoungchun? Are the game shows and documentaries subbed?
So far I don't like how the 3 bros mom treats ANYBODY! And everything she says is a lie.

Thanks Mara and Domyoung. I certainly CAN stick out 50+ epis since Brothers and ChaChaCha are all I get in NYC....... My cable company - Verizon FIOS - doesn't have KBS America - they do have MBC America. I have that now as a freebie for 90 days - I'm now watching Great Queen Seondeok - I think the last episode is tonite - but I don't think it's worth subscribing for $30 a month as there aren't that many dramas with esubs. Plus it seems that dramafever shows a lot of the MBC dramas. So I am stuck with WMBC Channel 63 as well.

We are lucky here (in some ways )because KBS America Sublets from the Station that used to carry all the Japanese Dramas and this is a local station as well ,so the upshot we lost our Japanese Programming but got our Korean Programming Back ,because of the leasing agreement it does not cost us anything extra . Now if (or probably a matter of when )KBS Move's to a premium channel would i fork out 22 bucks a month . well right now im watching IRIS (Finishes tonight ) THREE BROTHERS JOLLY WIDOWS TEMPTATION OF THE HEIR But when we first got this in December the line up was pretty bleak so id say right now we are ok but overall most of the programming is game shows and concerts and not worth 22 bucks at all .

Thanks again, Dom.
Mara, here in NYC, I have Cablevision (IO). We get WMBC on channel 20. They show Japanese, Chinese, and Korean stuff (not dramas) between 8 PM and midnight (give or take). The rest is some Italian news and a dama where a priest rides around in a bicycle solving crimes, and infomercials. I guess I should be happy with what I have.
