Since there’s such an interest in this show, I’ll try to post weekly summaries as it progresses on my satellite channel.
I’ll be starting a new job next week, so my postings may get delayed now and then - but hang in there, and I’ll try to get it done as quickly as I can.

Episodes 45 and 46:
Mom is still in a funk. She’s given “approval” to Jinpung’s marriage to Sujin . . . but she hasn’t exactly given her blessings. At least she ended her hunger strike.
Dad, though, asks Sujin to meet with him. He’s a good guy, assuring Sujin that she’s welcome in their household, and suggesting a meeting of the families to discuss the upcoming wedding (though her “family” consists of hardly more than her brother Bruce (formerly known as “Brutus”).
Mom’s still being obstinate, though, and she refuses to attend the meeting of the families, citing a “prior engagement” with some of her chatty friends. She dolls herself up in makeup (looking positively awful) and leaves the family to fend for themselves. Dad ruins the dinner, and the all-important meeting of the families carries on with take-out Chinese food.
Mom meets with her friends, who all rave about how well her son married ("He's marrying a lawyer!!!"). It’s not enough to convince her, but it does give her some food for thought. She leaves her friends, and she drinks herself drunk.

The family gathering goes well (aside from the bad take-out food) and Grandpa later chats with Bruce. He tells Bruce that he should consider getting remarried. Bruce says that’s impossible, but Grandpa says that he’s been through it himself, and that he regrets not getting remarried. Bruce still says no - but as he’s leaving the household, he runs into Miran (the heavyset girl). They exchange a few verbal barbs - but one can see that there’s some sparks there, too.
Bruce feels obligated to buy something for Jinpung’s family. Dad says it’s not necessary, and all they really need is a new bed. So, Bruce takes Jinpung bed shopping, thoroughly embarrassing him as they almost come off looking like a gay couple at the bed store. ;D

The Battle of the Sexes continues between Seonpung and his in-laws. Looks like the men are winning.
Father in law sabotaged the light bulb in the women’s bathroom, and none of them know how to change it. The women respond by refusing to cook for the men, and insisting that anything they’d made or cooked previously is off limits to them.
So, Seonpung goes right to work making kimchi. Mother in law is shocked and amazed, but Eunji grumbles that he was practically raised as a girl, and that “he even knows how to prepare ceremonial foods.” ;D
Then, the lights then go out - maybe a blown fuse - but as FIL heads out to check, MIL “orders” him to fix it. FIL says he’s tired of taking orders from her, and so the house stays dark for three whole days!
Seonpung’s dad arrives to personally deliver the wedding invitation. The in-laws are embarrassed about him seeing the little war they have going on, so they clam up and pretend everything’s fine, but it doesn’t take dad long to figure out what’s happening. He fixes the blown fuse.
*********
Mom returns home falling down drunk, blathering about how disobedient her son is - but it also seems as if it’s finally out of her system. The next day, she (surprisingly) accepts Sujin warmly.
*********
Boksil (now going by the name “Jennifer”) announces that she’s quitting the hospital, and taking a job in America. Naturally, she spars with her father (Doctor Dad) over this, but she’s made up her mind. Just as she leaves, though, we see her father clutching his chest. He’s obviously in very poor health - and Boksil just as obviously doesn’t know this yet.
The next day, the Doctor Dad meets up with Daepung. Doctor Dad is due to deliver a paper on pediatric neurology in three weeks - and he hasn’t even started writing it yet. Daepung says that’s crazy, how can you write a paper like that in three weeks? Doctor Dad agrees, and he tells Daepung to move in with him. Daepung can work in the hospital during the day, and help him write the paper at night (and he’ll double his salary). Daepung isn’t all that welcome in his own house lately anyway, and it’s only for three weeks, so why not?
Daepung doesn’t give him an answer yet . . . but it sure does seem as if Doctor Dad has an ulterior motive.
*********
Jinpung and Sujin get married. It's a short but nice ceremony. The family is astonished to see that even Boksil makes a surprise appearance at the wedding. It’s the first time they’ve seen her since she vanished from the scene.
Boksil meets privately with Daepung shortly after the wedding. She assures him that she’s not mad at him any more, and that she’s forgotten all about it.
And, oh yes, she also tells him that she’s moving to the United States in a few weeks . . .
I’ll be starting a new job next week, so my postings may get delayed now and then - but hang in there, and I’ll try to get it done as quickly as I can.
