I'm so entertained by your post, FlowerLady. This has been another week of crying, dripping faces, more praying, more candle lighting more conflicting dialog, and more rituals featuring goofy music ... BUT very beautiful robes. And the most annoying touch is that sappy song who's lyrics are supposed to be telling us something ... what a lame way to present a story without writing dialong. So now a year has passed, Cho-won is supposedly finished praying and is returning to her new reality whatever THAT might be. And you're right FlowerLady, how can the storyline be stretched out to 150+ episodes. Lots more crying and praying. And what exactly would a good ending be? At least the other characters don't cry, pray and light candles on a daily basis. They seem to have normal problems. Really like many of the actors, but am annoyed with the main characters. .

Crying and praying still are a big part of the scene. No follow up on what may or may not have happened to Mubin's father as a result of the warning that Mubin shared with his goofy mother. Chowon continues to be a twit about her true feelings. Chowon's stepmom continues to be unable to think logically. Hmmm do we wonder what the doctor is going to tell her on Monday evening? If she's pregnant won't that be a brilliant pice of writing as the story gets closer to the end. We've got 2 more weeks to bring this to an end. My only question is what drama will follow this one?

Just a note to people that have been inconvenienced by the pre-empting of the nighttime airing, apparently the afternoon showing (2:30PM) is still happening.

I haven't been watching this series but last night I stumbled across it running in the 8:30 p.m. slot. So you might want to check there; maybe they just shifted it.

ALAS, I've been watching this item, recording at 2:30pm. But so far thi week Heaven's Fate has not been n the 2:30pm time slot. Some stupid entertainment show is on. Heaven's Fate is winding down and I really wanted to see how all the strings were tied up and how the ending would play out. Yesterday I emailed Arirang asking for showtime in Chicago. I really hope I get an answer. OK then, that's my update.

It looks like Drama Fever does not have it, but expects to get it. Here's their page on the drama. If you want to watch it, this seems like a best hope, so maybe you'd want to join their site and then click the button. I can't find it anywhere else. Lotus Flower Fairy a/k/a Heaven's FateBo

Hi kathleen, i was also peeved that i couldn't finish up the story line now that the writers are finally getting back to their roots of two females fighting over one kind of passive guy, but thanks to ajk i have been catching up at the 8:30 pm showing. actually last night all the parents converged on Mrs Bu's apt where Chowon has been staying and Chowon and Mubin get back late and walk into this hornets nest, after he blew off dinner with the intended inlaws. Mubin's parents (still steaming from the engagement dinner gone bad) keep insulting Chowon and her dad loses it and punches Mubin! then Mubin and his parents stomp down to his apt and scold him some more for getting a punch! (i never saw it coming so what's poor MB to do?) His dad leaves and his mom says pack up and come back home like he is still 15. he says nothing so we shall see if he is really a rebel or if mom's 'weak heart' will blackmail him into going back home..... meanwhile Chowon's dad and his wife are on the banks of the Han river being moody and her dad is honest with himself and admits that MB has always been there for CW and he really wanted to punch out MB's dad and he feels bad about the punch. Meanwhile Simong's granny is torn about accepting the herbal medicines from SM's older suitor and who would be a better husband for SM. Mrs Bu is having some kind of crazy dream about shoes and her spirit mother yells at her about her path being blocked, and then CW shows up dressed in marriage costume but no shoes and Mrs Bu wakes up and digs thru her closet and finds a pair of shoes that she starts crying over. freeze frame. not sure if this makes anything more clear or not!!

WOW! Thanks for the update. What kind of drug of choice do you think the writers are on? - Mrs Bu is having some kind of crazy dream about shoes and her spirit mother yells at her about her path being blocked, and then CW shows up dressed in marriage costume but no shoes and Mrs Bu wakes up and digs thru her closet and finds a pair of shoes that she starts crying over. freeze frame Just gotta love it. When you say you caught up with the 8:30pm viewing... do you mean 8:30pm on CH41 ... Chicago? I'll try tuning in this evening. Thanks again. .. your post made my day since I've not heard from Arirang.

Hello Oldschool & Kathleen 34 Just read both your posts and thanks much for the update. I am still in Netherlands & Germany, so cannot watch anything. however, when I left Chicago I saw some of the episodes but was so disappointed in this drama & did not miss it. Now I read your posts and at least get an idea of what transpired. Will keep checking to see how it ends (if Kathleen or oldschool will continue to update. I will be returning to Chgo sometime mid to end April and since I only have Converter Box hope I will be getting some of the K-Drama's..My main concern now is that my favorite of all favorites, the wonderful Choi Su Jong is scheduled to return in a drama and if I do not get it on my TV I certainly will have to throw a fit (even though by nature I am calm cool & collected. Have a nice evening and thanks for your posts

Whew! tonite was the first episode I saw this week! so thanks for your comment about ajk advising of the 8:30pm run. Ms. Bu is such a class act. I really liked what she said in her class. She spoke so gently and her message came across so strong. I'm really glad that Simong's granny is in the class... and I hope she developes a better understanding and she comes to respect her daughter's feeling for Ms Bu's brother. Mu-bin's mother continues to be a pain. What's with these Korean mother's who lay such huge amounts of guilt on their children? 'you can read about my death in the papers' YIKES, no mother-of-the year award material. I digress. Looks like as this drama winds down there may be some reasonable endings. And jolson1933 - I pray for your safe travel back to Chicago. Thanks for your post.

kathleen34 you are certainly the mistress of understatement! {Mu-bin's mother continues to be a pain.} having multiple hissy fits, continuing to chase Chowon around the apt bldg to insist that she never wants to see Chowon again! Throwing all her heart meds on the floor and then the mug of water to follow (that mug sure bounced nicely for ceramic!) hi jolson1933, am not sure if you were watching up to the part where Mrs. Bu and Mubin and the woman who is chasing Mubin (Jun-yeong) seem to all be living in the same apartment complex. it makes it easier for them to dash in and out of each others space. last night Jun-yeong came to MB's apt to admit she had been crying all night long (apparently she and MB's mom had cooked up a scheme to invite her parents to an engagement dinner, that MB was under the impression that it was a simple dinner with his parents alone. JY got all dolled up in full makeup, hair, and pink chiffon hanbok, to then be 'humiliated' in front of her parents when MB never showed, and her parents stormed out in a rage after they thought they were being disrespected. Meanwhile, MB got a call from CW that she was lost and her car had broken down and she needed him, so he took off and said to himself," o well, my parents can have dinner on their own tonight" and (my favorite) 'misplaced' his cellphone. (don't know if you remember this particular cellphone, but it is the size of a football!!!) so this is how MB and CW ended up out in the country somewhere, her phone battery dead, and his phone back in the office and no parents could find them so they all converged on Mrs Bu's apt. where MB and CW showed up. meanwhile, last night's ep has JY going to MB's apt and crying on his 'confessional chair' (i love that chair, its oversize, and hot pink and clashes with everything and is totally inappropriate for MB's apt! love love love it!) to give Mubin credit, he really sets Jun-yeong straight when she says she isn't giving up on him, he tells her that it would never work out between them as he loves Chowon and she deserves better blah blah and we think he is going to do right by Chowon and he promptly goes down to Mrs Bu's apt (where Chowon is staying) and finds her picking up pills his mother threw around and picks up some pills with her and says he is moving back home. Si-mong's storyline has her and Mrs Bu's brother going out to the country to retrieve her car (that CW borrowed to go visit her spirit mother out in the country and which broke down) and apparently that car 'broke down' again somewhere during the nighttime drive back to the city, and SM and the brother both pretended that they forgot their cell phones, so they have to wait for the sunrise together out in the country somewhere, which sounds sweet and romantic when they are standing around outside but clearly becomes awkward when they go sit in the car! finally Mrs Bu shows up at Mubin's apt and comes in and gives him the wrapped box of those darn mystery shoes! freeze frame

Hi Kathleen, Just read your post and also your prayers for when I return to Chicago. Much appreciated. We all need a prayer as often as possible . I started to go to Drama-fever for the first time today but there is a note posted that one cannot have excess to the site except in USA & Canada.. so I guess I am back to stage one..... Will continue to read the board and help withdrawal symptoms that way. Have to run now as we (family) are on our way out for the afternoon and THEY (except for my son) cannot understand these addictions we all have with the K-Drama'"s....my son has the addition for McCLOUD spelled right???) it is an AUSTRALIAN TV series and he can't get enough of that so he understands my addition, also way back in the dark ages I watched TEARS OF THE DRAGON and made him also watch & he did love it. By the way can anyone tell me what ever became of that actor-I thought he was very good and also acted in a series called Wife? . Have a good day to all who read my ranting, but since there are no drama's might as well blabber on and on, I apologize if this does not meet with your approval with all you lovely people who post on this board. All of you really sound as though you are very fine people-especially since this is on computer that we speak to each other...but then I always try to be POSITIVE about the human race and look at us as being Good and Nice human beings I know there are the other kind as well BUT lets just stay positive about all of us. Have to run...should I eat an extra piece of cake ? with the excuse it is for you and not my obsession with cake & whip cream (especially in Germany where it is sooooooooooooooogood. Have a nice day...it is Sunday. Jolson

should I eat an extra piece of cake ? with the excuse it is for you and not my obsession with cake & whip cream (especially in Germany where it is sooooooooooooooogood - YES YES Y E S Thank you for eating my piece of cake ... it surely beats a 6-month old Twinkie. We are obsessed with these dramas because they offer an escape to our real world... and that's not really such a bad thing. Which all goes to show that you can rationalize anything you put your mind to.

hi again jolson1933, i just realized it has been 2 weeks since i put in an update of this show and didn't want to leave you hanging on. actually some things have moved along and some things are still dragging but that is the way of the k-drama! i have also missed a few eps this week, but here goes: Mrs Bu finally convinced Mubin to elope with Chowon 2 weeks ago, that week was all about who knew they were married and when did they know it. of course the jilted wannabe gf of MB saw them holding hands in the building when MB had been moved back home and was supposedly on the straight and narrow for his parents sake, but was spending every moment that he could at CW's place. meanwhile Chowon's stepmother somehow figures out they are married and gifts them with an afternoon at the photographer's to take 'photographs" and if they just happened to be dressed in wedding outfits.... So the wannabe gf decides to be sneaky and stir up some drama, so she invites MB's parents to her apartment for breakfast of all things. of course we know it is to discover MB & CW in flagrante foyer, but MB's father thinks it's a crazy idea and opts out. That morning as CW is preparing eggs for breakfast she has some kind of chest pain and drops an egg, takes it as a bad omen and runs downstairs to collect MB and take him away from the building just before gf and MB's mom show up. so when MB's mother gets to the building, there is no one to surprise. The gf takes MB's mother to her apt and putters around but the mother says outright,"Why am I here? It's odd enough that you ask me to breakfast and there is clearly no food prepared, what's up?" then we see CW's parents and her sister's inlaws all gathering at CW' fathers office to go out to dinner when MB's mom crashes into the office with a paper, somehow she got the story that not only were they seeing each other, they were married and had registered the marriage! so she screams bloody murder in the office and collapses. at some point Mi-yeong's MIL (hanbok store owner) manages to get a good look at the paper and realizes that CW and MB are now married, which refers back to one point when she actually saw them walking out hand in hand, so she feels justified.
At some point MB's mother realizes that since CW's stepmom isn't freaking out, that she must have known already which makes CW's father angry, that his wife would keep this news from him. (of course this was the news the stepmom was about to tell him when all the people walked into his office). Then CW's dad feels bad and has a minor fight with his wife about the situation but his anger is coming from a place of love for CW and worrying about how badly MB's mother will treat her.
Of course MB's mother ends up in hospital after all her screaming and MB's father finally finds out so he is angry and tries to get rid of CW but she talks to him and brings out her inner shaman and tells him not to quit his job yet, that he has something important to do, which makes him look at her, like "How does she know?" then he goes away and we are treated to a week or so of MB's mother acting like a spoiled child, pouting, and every time CW brings in a meal, she throws it across the room or at CW. MuBin actually has it out with the gf when they are in the hospital and tells her that its over between them and she gets all snotty and says don't try and pin your mother's illness on me, and he is surprised because it is kinda her fault, but she says "this is the price you pay for jilting me, " or some such. but she seems to be gone now.
meanwhile, Si-mong and Yong-bin get married with no drama. The familys decide that if YB and SM stay with SM's mother and older brother during the week, they will come to stay with Mrs Bu on weekends. of course Si-mong still oversleeps in the am and her mom wakes up after their wedding to find YB in the kitchen making pollack stew. Her mom says to SM, "what are you thinking? now that you are a married woman," and SM says, "we are doing what we are both best at. He is best at the cooking and I am best at sleeping in!" Meanwhile her older brother is in the kitchen with YB looking worried. He thinks "O No, this is terrible! If YB is this good at cooking he will hog up all the love!"
Mrs Bu has a minor flashback to early days of the drama that we never saw in Chicago, how she was a spoiled smart aleck young shaman back in the day and she knew who Chowon was right away when she spotted her on the train one day, and that CW still has many struggles to go thru... but there is only about 2 weeks of drama left so hopefully not too many struggles.
and MiYeong and her MIL are having an odd storyline about MIL giving over all the family bankbooks to MY to administer and MY is going nuts with the idea of money and power and spending to spruce everything up, home, clinic, hanbok store. so far, the only sprucing up seems to be a few flower bouquets, but she is going on about putting her FIL in a pink clinic jacket as the gray one is so old and gray looking. and now we're back to MB's mother and her sulks and Chowon's mother comes to visit. dramatic music...........
