Apparently, this half-hour drama runs Monday through Friday, five times a day. (I'm cribbing this info from ajk, BTW.) It's an MBC drama that ran in 2004 and 2005; the total length is 174 episodes and the Tuesday 11/10 episode on Arirang was #62. The first showing is at 6:30 a.m. Chicago time; repeats are at 9:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. The following is a drama wiki--presumably, there are spoilers: asianmediawiki.com/Heaven's_Fate Presumed episode list: 11/11 - #63 11/12 - #64 11/13 - $65 11/16 - #66 11/17 - #67 11/18 - #68 11/19 - #69 11/20 - #70 11/23 - #71 11/24 - #72 11/25 - #73 11/26 - #74 11/27 - #75 11/30 - #76 Since Thanksgiving is the 26th, that will probably mess up the schedule, so why don't we leave it there until that day occurs. ;D Bo

It's these little things in Life, bo, that makes us give thanks. This program has quite a few of our 'regular favorites' and it helps ease the withdrawl from Love and Obsession and all the rest of our favorites. ajk is doing such a good job with Iron Empress. So our Board Leaders are really helping us all.

I have been watching this show since the programming changed and it is pretty good. I had no problem understanding what was happening. I am thinking however, that the station will change programing again before this is finished and I won't be able to see the end. (Shades of "Love and Obsession" and "My Two Precious Sons") I also watch Entertainment Extra which is also interesting. No other shows seem to be of interest to me.

It's a real double edged sword... we'll miss the ending of Heaven's Fate ... but it would be worth it to see Love & Obsession and the other very missed programing. At lease Heaven's Fate has some favorite actors/actresses

E-yah, you don't know whether to hope the workings are delayed until Heaven's Fate is finished airing, or to hope they are worked out as expeditiously as possible! Bo

My pleasure. Remember guys, if this goes on for any length of time and they skip episodes (messing up my list), please post a note here so I can correct it.

Since Thanksgiving is the 26th, that will probably mess up the schedule, so why don't we leave it there until that day occurs. ;D Bo However, since Thanksgiving is strictly an American holiday tradition (my, how geocentric we are), the chances of there being a schedule interruption are pretty remote, IMHO; Korea already celebrated their Thanksgiving in October. Therefore, no matter what time during the day your own festive consumption of copious amounts of gastronomic delights occurs (don't forget pumpkin pie), it should be pretty easy to catch the episode sometime during the day without having to resort to setting a tape... Well, at any rate, having only one drama to watch makes life a little simpler and just a tad more productive, if not a little more boring.... I guess I'm thankful that there is at least one drama and "Let's Speak Korean" (but I'm not thankful for e-Sports) Thanks for the info, Bo. CV

That's BHN on the Toobs. ;D
Anyway, in case you didn't get my drift and I'm not at all sure you did, it doesn't matter whether American Thanksgiving is celebrated in Korea, it matters whether the station or network that shows the Korean programs here is here, in which case they might adjust their schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday.

...it matters whether the station or network that shows the Korean programs here is here, Bo Say, did you study logic and reasoning from Bill Clinton? “That depends on what your definition of "is" is” ;D I still say that the likelihood of WOCH deviating from Arirang for the day is pretty remote, and seeing as how Arirang originates from Korea, the chances of them broadcasting special American Thanksgiving programming (i.e., the Macy's Parade or American football) is even more remote. However, I suppose it's safer to err on the side of caution. By the way, don't touch that remote. CV P.S.: I've realized in contrast to looking at this situation merely from the downside of losing our former beloved programming, the upside is that the start/running times of all the shows is now very precise, thus eliminating the need to be clairvoyant in order to accurately set a video tape to record a show and allocating 3 hours of tape to successfully capture a 1/2 hour show.... Except, now there's really nothing I feel compelled to record; I feel that e-Sports is a major step below watching televised poker.

I don't think you need to insult me. You finally got around to answering my original question, which is whether Arirang originates from Korea or here, which would tell us whether they'll acknowledge Thanksgiving or not by changing their schedule. Sheesh. Men. Bo
