With the recent loss of signal on Ch 41, but the continued broadcast on Comcast, I thought it would be useful to know how we all actually receive WOCH. You can only vote for one, so choose the one you normally watch the most (when ch 41 is on the air).
Please note that this poll is only for how you watch WOCH; it does not include other ways of watching Dramas (satellite, streaming video, downloads, DVDs etc.).

I voted for Comcast because that's where I am CURRENTLY watching WOCH. However, in the past, before WOCH was available on Comcast, I viewed it from CH41 analog, as do many of our members. Since I can't cast 2 votes, even in Chicago , I voted for my present viewing situation.

I currently watch analog, although I would consider digital if I could actually get a signal.

I looked for 13 on digital, but I couldn't get it, so it's just analog for me. No cable or dish or anything else is in our future, either.

This is a good question; thanks for asking it. I suspect that most of the people who watch WOCH don't have cable at all and that not having cable was the reason they discovered WOCH in the first place. Which means that the broadcast signal will continue to be a very important part of WOCH's ratings, even now that they're on cable.
1tee2, welcome to the forum--wow, you really are a fan if you go all the way back to EWG! Very impressive. Most of us here are non-Koreans like yourself and enjoy learning about this stuff just like you do. If you're watching Iron Empress, do check the board because anything you might miss in the story will be summarized on the board for you to read (eventually).

I've never been able to receive the digital signal, 13.1, so I'm watching the analog version. By the way, I realize that limited numbers of people are going to actually view this, but during the last week, I was able to view WLS-Ch7 for the first time since the conversion and then it went away for a little bit on Sunday during daylight hours (although it's back now). As I searched online for answers, I came upon information concerning WBBM-Ch2 about receiving their digital signal (which had never come in since the conversion). Now, I just tried this trick for WOCH-Ch13.1, and it didn't work, but suddenly, today, I can get WBBM!!!! If you are having trouble receiving CBS-Ch2.1, they suggest going to digital [glow=red,2,300]Channel[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]12.1[/glow] and if you're using one, turn OFF your amplified antenna and use either your regular indoor or rooftop antenna. Good luck!

Thanks for letting us vent about the situation. after being spoiled for so long watching "entertaining" TV it's quite the shock to have to go back to the reality show dreck that so much of (non cable) channels offer! and no i don't watch it. just missing my stories.....

No matter how I try I can't get 13.1 so I watch on analog. I'm sure that the problem WOCH is having could happen at another station but if this keeps up I'll have to get cable.

I watch on 13.1 and 41, so didn't know how to vote. Only the tv in the living room that is attached to the aerial antenna can pick up 13.1. I was glad I was able to tape 1N2D on that tv on Monday.

I debated allowing people to vote for more than one, but wanted people to give their most frequent mode of viewing. I've editied the original post to make that more (I hope) clear. Well, waddayaknow, someone actually watches on Uverse! I always get the "Get on our waiting list" thing when I go to check it out.

:)I'm currently watching on Comcast 599 the most. I only use the antenna tv when someone else is watching something.

I have decided that this is a conspiracy to make us get cable tv. I have actually started to research the cost even though I have never desired or wanted cable tv. I so miss my dramas that although I said I would never pay for tv it just may come to that soon.

I guess I am in the very small minority group here, but I watch it on digital, both at home (near Narragansette and Belmont) and at the the church (Laramie and Diversey). I get a pretty good signal at both locations most of the time. I have a rooftop antennae at both locations, no booster of any kind.
Once in a while, I notice a weak signal during the iron Empress, but the distortion actually improves the plot and acting. (a bit of sarcasm here!)
