Thanks to new member Kootie for the heads up on this! WFBT, digital broadcast 26.6, is showing Dae Jang Geum, dubbed and subbed in Chinese. I saw it tonight at 7:00 PM. I don't know about how their schedule is, but WOW. I found that only Chinese was no problem, since the memories just started coming back, and I knew exactly what was going on.
This was the ep where Jang Geum accidently betrays her father, fulfilling the old man's prophecy ("One who will kill you, but save many") When I saw the cave where Jang Geum hid, I was like, "Yeah! Yeah! That's the cave!!!".
OMG! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Remember that you can watch DJG and about 50 other dramas on Drama Fever, free of charge. Excellent subs also.

Well, I could watch my recordings I made from ch28 way back when, too (if I could find them ), but I found there was a level of immediacy from watching it on live TV that I found compelling. And, as I realized, I don't really need subs with this one! Plus, it had the benefit of being unexpected, so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Dae Jang Geum airs Mondays through Fridays at 7:00pm with reruns Tuesdays through Saturdays at 1:00pm. It should end around January 19 at episode 70.
On another note, the Korean drama "On Air" airs on channel 26.6 (dubbed in Mandarin with Chinese subtitles) from Tuesdays through Saturdays at 5:00pm. It should end around November 24 at episode 32.

I really loved this show so I sat and watched it. I had forgotten how it started. I will have to check out the other shows too. But unfortunately I lost channel 26 and 5 last night. I though digital was going to make it better. Uuuuggghhh.

I though digital was going to make it better. Uuuuggghhh. Yeah, I've been cursing a lot lately, turning the antenna this way and that. Sometimes it might be the wind or something, because it improves suddenly sometimes. I'm in a hurry and turn the antenna too fast, but it takes a while for the digital box to catch up, so I have to try. to. be. patient. Sometimes 7 is terrible, sometimes great. ?? When there's something good that I want to watch, it isn't that much of a pleasure to see all the colors spread around like an Impressionist painting.

Thanks, finejade! Now, Sat. 7pm, I'm watching something, but I don't know what. The father from The Road Home is in jail. His wife runs a restaurant, I think, and the furnishings are going to be auctioned off. She is on Jujube Tree and something else I can't remember. I think we should have a thread for these dramas, their names and day/time they're on. It would be helpful and fun, especially because our Ch. 41 isn't functioning now. Also because the reception is so unreliable, for me anyway, that I can't count on seeing the beginning of anything. Wonder if this channel's programs start and end on the hour and half-hour? Flashbacks of a girl in a mental hospital, yikes!

The episodes are edited to around 45 minutes each to accomodate commercials.

Kinda like WOCH did when they showed "Winter Love Song". I found that disorienting, since the show would come to a climax, and then continue on for, say, another twenty minutes, and then just stop.

I guess it's better than cutting stuff out.
