I found it odd that Mokjong wasn't a little surprised and skeptical when Milhwa announced she was expecting. Wasn't he away for an extended period in the Northern Capital which is how/when the "brother" had his chance at standing in for him?
When did Shengzong get plastic surgery?
Why do they torture everyone at night?
Kim Wonsoong may think he was 1000 years ahead of his time, but he should have put his agreement with Kimmy Sue in writing. Then he really would have had something to bargain with in the torture chair.
And Kimmy Sue probably was 1000 years ahead of his time. He would have made quite the used car salesman, or even a Governor of Illinois.
When did Dokyun turn into such a wimp?
Why does one slice of the sword execute 3 men and Milwan, but two whacks of Gang Jo's spear at point blank range knocking Sa Gamun to the ground not kill him?? He's up and about a scene or two later wearing the same clothes even.
And finally just when I was starting to really appreciate the writers giving Hyangbi a meatier role they offed her! And by Kimmy Sue, the biggest "Jerken" of them all.
But I have to say Saila's grief for her friend was the most convincing I can remember in a K drama. It felt real for me. Maybe she really did think of Hyangbi as her sister.
But with all that said, 60 and 61 were a noticeable improvement over the last few weeks, when the only thing I really found interesting was Mokjong's performance. He's been stealing the show for a while now. I hope when/if they hand out awards for this series that he's first in line.

Let’s see if I can hit a few of those....The torture thing, maybe it’s for prime-time TV viewing. You know, like they have Hockey Night in Canada once a week; this is Torture Night in Goryeo. Seriously, it occurred to me that maybe they do it to emphasize the prisoners’ white. Not much of a reason, but what else could it be?
I don’t think Wonsoong would put anything in writing that could turn up and incriminate him later. Talk about Illinois governors, just like the “clout list” that helped nail George Ryan.
Dokyun, she’s a mom with a baby now so I’m okay with her backing off a little. But you’re right, it’s long past time for her to be killing somebody again.
Watching Gang Jo attack Sa Gamun, I got the impression (maybe wrongly) that he kind of swatted him to the side rather than actually poke him. But either way, definitely this show has not been a friend of the laws of physics!
Great observation about Sa Illa’s grief. She’s been so cold and distant the whole series, you could really feel how much it hurt her to lose the one real friend she had. They even kind of set that up by having her greet Hyangbi in previous episodes with uncharacteristic smiles and happiness.
And Hyangbi dying...I gotta say, shooting somebody in the back just makes me sick. There’s nothing more cowardly than shooting, stabbing, hitting somebody from behind. I half expected Sa Illa to carve Chiyang up on the spot. I’d have even accepted the bladed boomerang.
The only new thing I’d add to the list is that I’m starting to get tired of the whole Chiyang’s-grand-plot thing being strung out for so long. We’ve known about the Shillan-prince angle for more than thirty episodes now, and for even longer than that we’ve known that he had some grand plan cooking. And yet we still keep waiting for him to actually take some action. (And that whole business about Jurchen tribes being so intensely committed to righting a perceived Shillan wrong, I’m having a lot of trouble buying it.) Enough already. Only seventeen episodes left and they’re going to have to squeeze a lot of big events into a too-short time.

Kimmy Sue should have been offed a long time ago he is getting tedious especially when he splits in two and debates himself . The Gay Storyline bugs me being Yu Hangwan because it just seems like the writers watched "Frozen Flower "which also is set in Koryo and has a gay storyline and was the biggest film to come out of Korea last year . That said it seems the writers just bought it in as an attempt to boost ratings rather than actually doing something meaningful or interesting with it .

^ Yu Hangwan story was written at Koryosa (oldest record of Koryo Dynasty). Other story about 'Frozen flower' is not from Koryosa.

Wasn't he away for an extended period in the Northern Capital which is how/when the "brother" had his chance at standing in for him? In episode #59, the Minister of Rights reported to the Empress Dowager that the Emperor had just returned from his third consecutive trip up north. I think that he only went on the anniversary, he wasn't there for the whole three years...
