New KBS show, 'My Too Perfect Sons'

Recently started in Korea, about a Mom desperate to marry off her three sons. Lotsoffamiliarfaces, but then what KBS Drama doesn't these days?

Lee Pilmo (my Man) is one of the sons. Dad is Dad from Mom's Upset, Mom is ditsy MIL from Chil Sisters.

Looks like this will be the new Wednesday/Thursday evening drama, replacing "Hateful, Yet Again 2009"

One of the sons works for "KBC News", but I've never seen him on ch41

This looks funny.I enjoy Lee Pilmo .He seems so goofy in this role.This should be interesting.

Kinda bummed he plays a jerk, though.

I was not real impressed with the opener, but then I'm often not with these sorts of dramas, only to like them eventually. 'Mom's Dead Upset' would be an example.

The cast alone makes me want to give this one a look.

Although the reporter son works for KBC and has that logo on his mike, he did announce that he was reporting for KBS. Oops!!

Soju, Lee Pilmo is your man? Do I have to fight you for him? Although I don't like him so much in this one, either.

There are actually 4 sons, but you know that by now.

Did you notice that the subtitles say "KBC" and not "KBS" when they're talking about the Korean network? I guess the subtitles are done locally and someone got as confused as I do about which is which.

P.S. Edited to add, I see that you referenced the same thing, but in a different way. Went right over my head.

It should be noted that "My Too Perfect Sons" is the English title given the show by KBS World. The title in Korean, "솔 약국집 아들들", means "The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House".

This is one fun drama.It has my absolute favorite korean actress,Yoo Ha Na,who does all her acting(or some might say,overacting)via her facial expressions.She was the lead in the famous taiwanese drama MY Lucky Star.

Am I the only one who doesn't like this drama? All they do is scream at each other and get
hit by the mother. Of course I am not a fan of slapstick comedy and that is what I think of
this drama. I keep turning it on to see if I am not getting into the story but continue to turn
it off before it is over. Guess it's just me. And I do like the cast ...

Msrap, I totally agree with you. About the only cast members I like are Li Pilmo (but I don't like his character) and the youngest brother.

I also find the excessive use of "OOOOOH MYYYY GOD " offensive.

This is one where I'm using the "off" dial. See you when this one is over.

I thought I was the only one to find the screaming not funny only annoying and Lee Pilmo character is such a jerk so far only the youngest son has any likability .

I'm still really enjoying this drama.Yep, the Mom is still hitting her kids alot.I dont let it bother me.I'm enjoying the plots and sub-plots too much.Interactions between the prospective couples and the brothers keep the whole thing ticking along.Ratings in Korea says this is number 2 nationwide.I'm following Shining Inheritance too(via the web) which is number 1 nationwide.All good fun... ;D
