Yes there have been a few and they are unintentional !!!!! the funniest to date was in ep #1 with the Bear Attack a bear has a koryo soldier pinned to the ground and the soldier is begging the bear for mercy like the bear is fluent in Korean and can understand him .
Gang Jo watch his fight scenes ,he starts twirling his spear and executing these fancy moves while the bad guys just stand there and wait for him to finish his Tango steps and than kill them . It could fit on "So you Think you can Dance "(not that i have ever watched that reality epic )

Not exactly funny, but doesn't the girl from that little group/ tribe making the secret plot (sorry I'm not exactly getting it ) where the boss expects to be king sometime........ Anyhow doesn't she look like she's from a manga story? Not last night when they were sneaking around, but when she's well groomed.

Do you mean Sa Illia (aka Sailla)? Now, Seol is a flat-out gorgeous woman, but if you lean towards cute-looking amazons, Sa Illia is definitely my kind of babe. With that face and those bangs, she really does look like a real-life anime character!
But, that scene where she ran - vertically - right up the side of a tree really has to win the “weird humor” award so far.

Anime is right, mikey--especially with that haircut, she looks like she jumped right out of one of those anime cartoons. But yeah, that anti-gravity scene was a groaner, and I'll tell you what else: this whole business with the bladed boomerang is starting to get irritating. The thing is utterly ridiculous. (I could have sworn that during the battle in the ravine, there was a quick glimpse of three Khitans standing in a row, all getting killed at once by a single boomerang throw.) Talk about cartoon material....
Anyway, there hasn't been much humor in the series but a few things come to mind. In Ep17 when it was brain-dead obvious that Seol was pregnant and neither she nor hubby had figured it out, the very humble and proper Escort Yun looked right at them and said, "You are both so dense." It made me laugh. In Ep8 Gamchan was getting irritated not knowing where Gyeongjuwon was, and threatened to give him a "huge noogie." If I had to make a list of words I would never expect to hear in a Korean historical drama, "noogie" would be pretty high up there.
There was also the state meeting in Ep6 when the king has just announced Hunae's pregnancy and ministers are offering congratulations. And the king glares and says, Weren't you the ones just telling me to have her deposed or even executed? And they grovel like crazy, and then he says, That's okay, I'm just messing with you. It was very cool to see a king show humor like that, and especially funny that he jerked the ministers around.
And then I also laughed at Xiao Sunning toying with the intimidated envoy last night (Ep24). It wasn't a funny scene, but the way he played the envoy for a complete fool, you couldn't help but laugh.
There isn't much humor in the historical series and that's too bad because a bit of it here and there would work well.

What I thought was most humorous about the battle bear scenes with Rob Zombie at command of the Khitan army was when you release dangerous wild animals, who is to say where they will go. More than likely they would attack those closest to them. I know the bears speak Khitan language, but do they really listen? "Battle bear, I command you to attack... no the other way, the other way!"

This is a very earnest drama; they try to inject some intentional humor but it's too broad. It needs a little Heuk Sudol. (Blasted Bastard!)
