Just to avoid any confusion, any movies I talk about in this thread aren't necessarily meant to be recommendations. I watch a lot of movies. I'm just posting thoughts on whatever I've seen recently.
Like Crazy - Love story of 2 college students. Deals with the difficulties of long distance relationships, trying to move on from said relationship and how a bad decision can have a huge impact on your life.
The Grey - The only good thing about this movie is that Liam Neeson is in it. Kinda surprised he took the role actually.

Wow, I'm actually behind movies as it is (eyes buried in games)..... Watcha playin', griffin? I've been glued to Skyrim since, oh, NoVEMber. LOL. But I've managed to watch a few movies in between. LOTRO is on hiatus. Has been for over a year. Currently on Star Wars The Old Republic (made 2 Jedi and 1 Sith) but am now focused on Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Trying it out in preparation for the launch of the game (the last in the trilogy) in 3 days which I've already preloaded. The classes have their weakess and strengths but I'm finding 1 - 2 a bit difficult. IMO, this has something to do with my judgment calls, not the biotic skills. I'm finding the Asari Adept highly enjoyable,, especially if the map level is set on bronze. This means I can literally launch and kill a target off his feet with one throw. It's really funny to see them flying off ladders or bouncing up / off angles (I vary the angles of my throws)

LOL. You a BIG gamer, huh. I don't even check out the multiplayer/online versions of the games I like, I'd rather putz around on my own. I'd feel bad if knew I was letting other "team" players down or killing someone who worked hard to get where they are, I'd rather know there's nobody real there--I don't have to feel bad about killing an NPC. I guess I'm kind of a loot hoarder, I just piffle around acquiring as much stuff as I can--houses, weapons...wait, here I am.... ;D

Young Adult - This movie is sold to audiences as a dark comedy about a grown woman stuck in the past. It's certainly dark but it's no comedy. Charlize Theron's character is delusional. Everyone around her can see that. No one does anything about it. Even when she begins to realize how messed up she is, nothing ever comes of it. Had the subject been taken more seriously, this could have been a decent film.

Don't know if anyone posted this, but I just heard that Netflix has an extended version of the Steig Larsson's trilogy: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. We were talking about this here, right? My source says you can find the three films together (with extra footage) under "Dragon Tattoo Trilogy." Don't know if it's just DVD/Blue Ray or streaming.

That is very cool .
Some of the comments by Netflix renters on the uncut version are funny ,the best is "Im on the sixth disc and i still don't know what its about " .
Changing topics Netflix has the two Brazilian Elite Squad films ,these are amazing anyone who likes City Of God /Men will love these .They are action films but not like the crap we turn out like The Expendables they are smart ,fast paced and nerve racking ,the first one is about a swat team sent to take down a drug lord in the Rio Slums but some of their own are on the drug lords books .
Best films i have seen this year so far .

I will state unequivocally that I am a godless liberal. I won't confirm whether this has anything to do with the fact that I can, and like to, read--even subtitles--because it upsets my uber-conservative relatives when I say stuff like that. So I suppose it might upset some of you guys, too. LOL.
Thanks for finding the link, Ducky, I had not had time to dig around for it myself. You are a treasure.

Don't tell me your house in Skyrim looks just like those in the video! ;D Well blame the devs for making so many things movable and takable in Skyrim. Didn't play that game however. I've finished ME3 but I'll not post any comments on it except that game content is good; 98%

Okay, so what is a "Shep"--shepherd? Sherpa? Some sort of companion and/or helper, I take it.
ME has good graphics. I assume it's PC? No, my houses in Skyrim do not look like that but I hear that many guys drop everything they pick up on the floor of the house just for kicks. Or they're guys, I don't know, maybe their real houses are like that. My stuff is all neatly stored and sorted, such as "sell," "stuff from completed missions," "food," "things my NPC friends gave me"... Har.

Yes, it's PC. I don't play console games. Tried but didn't much like it.
Shep is abbrev for Shepard. FemShep is of course, referring to female Shepard.
When I said game play is 98% excellent, that is my POV concerning most of the stuff in there even though I felt harassed, constraint and irritated as I played.
These mainly arise from clipping bugs, a couple of mission bugs, auto dialogue and one other I will not say since it's spoilerific. Overall rating is 4/10 because it is considered a failed ending to the trilogy.
Bioware vaunted much on the 'freedom of choice' / RPG element in Mass Effect but most of us ME fans are not seeing this in ME3 because of the pre-determined path. Whatever decisions we have made in the previous two, is disregarded. Hence. many of us as disgruntled, disappointed and angry. Alot of angry posts over at the official board since most of us feel cheated because we invested so much time, effort and money and alot of us grew attached to the chars because they are well written. Many of us played many rounds in ME 1 and ME2, to affect the various conclusions Bioware promised in ME3 which does not materialise.
In any case, ME3 is the last for me. It began and ended with Shepard. If there are any other spin-offs in the ME universe, I'm not buying the product. Bioware has failed to uphold their promises.

How annoying for you! I know how it feels when a trilogy (book, movie, whatever) lets you down like that. I mean, you've invested so much so far, you feel like you have to finish, but it's just not done right. What a waste.
Shall I mention a movie I liked? LOL. It's called "OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies," it is French, it is a farce based on a series of (nonfarcical) spy books and it is hilarious. Bob and I laughed our faces off. Maybe it was the drinking (ours).
