Seven Stars, personally, I think that she would have been fine -- just a bit of make-up and hair change. The difference between these 2 actresses is more than 10 years & that distracts me. Same with the emperor -- the older emperor is way more than 10 years older than the young one. The 3rd sibling, though, is cast well (in my opinion). But, also, they could have left the younger actress.

I see a slight resemblance between the young brother and the older king, and the younger sister and the older queen, but the young IE and this one? No. They are completely different. I liked the young IE, her looks, acting, etc. I'm not so sure about the present one. She's got the "fierce warrior" part OK but I don't see her as a mother, future lover, anything tender. She has that same wooden quality I saw (and didn't like) in the actress playing Chulin in DJY.

Was anyone else in the Philly area able to watch Ch 35 Sunday night? I couldn't get anything except for the channel number. I couldn't tell if my TV wasn't receiving or the station wasn't broadcasting.

Yep! wbye, alias, MindTV, alias Channel 35 I hope they can get the problem fixed. I'm a little worried about them, with funding cuts from the state looking inevitable.

I couldn't tell if my TV wasn't receiving or the station wasn't broadcasting. Why does it seem it's usually during the Korean dramas that the station has trouble? That's going to put us another episode behind. Hopefully they aren't canceling the show.

I wasn't around but tried to tape the episode. This is distressing news indeed.

Ep 17 Comments When Seo Hui was talking about protecting the northern part of Goryeo, because it was once part of Goguryeo, I couldn’t help but think of Im Hyuk’s role as Dae Jungsang, warrior of Goguryeo. That was cool! Here he is, still trying to protect Goguryeo, years later.

Episode 18 Things are getting more interesting with the actions of all the secondary characters. I was surprised to see Kim Wonsoong’s alliance with Choe Sum turn around 180 degrees to the point of being enemies. Wonsoong is definitely not of the same ilk as the ministers. Gang Jo’s suspicions about Chiyang & co have reached the boiling point. He really let loose on Sa Illa and Sa Gamun in the stick fighting. Gang’s been so stoic thus far that I wasn’t surprised to see him let out all his emotions. (I thought Sa Illa looked a little too smug after defeating the palace guard. ) Sa Gamun’s fake romantic interest in Hyangbi is creepy. I hope she figures out that she should stay away from him, given her brother’s suspicions about them. I laughed at Kim Wonsoong’s comment to his daughter that she always talks like a Buddha. How can she always be so calm and reasonable? That was a good jab at her. The only thing that gets to her is Prince Wang not calling her mother!

Is Gang Jo just a faithful retainer or is he secretly in love with Hunae? He gives her those soulful looks all the time and it seems to me as if the writers are setting up a triangle with him, her and Kim Chiang. Gang Jo hates him already and it appears he's going to make a move on Hunae.
The intrigue and fighting with the Jurgs, Bilhaes, Conficians, Khitans, et al, are so confusing, and drawn out, I'm happy to focus on romance for now.

I thought I saw Gang Jo with a few 'longing looks' towards Hunae. It was a hair of a split second extra long look at her. He's so stoic most of the time, it's hard to tell. If he's too stoic, he will end up loving her from afar as her devoted servant.

lol Chiyang looks like he'll dive right in indeed. I hardly watch anymore but I caught Sunday's episode, 19 I think, and he was admiring her silhouette. What a way clown face's plan just seems to be falling in to place with Gang Jo visiting that other Minister dude, then Prince handsome gets set up to go there too. Can't wait to hear or see when clown face gets his.

Clown Face! Perfect.
Remember one of the villain ministers in DJY -Bu Kiwon or Kimun I think his name was? He got killed in the end but way too quick for all the evil he did. I hope CF gets those long sticks between the knees or some other kind of torture before he dies. Gee, I hope he dies!
