Ep 34 It's ironic that the Empress Xiao was going through a laundry list of Hunae's faults in the bath tub scene, similar to what's been discussed here. Looks like Hunae eventually began to 'soak' it all up. In the tub, she looked a lot like the previous actress who played the young Hunae. Why isn't anyone questioning why the Empress is being so nice all of a sudden?! Kimmy-su reveals his true intentions for Hunae. Blasted bastard! What's with all the Koryean women losing and the men winning in the contest? I hope the lady with the whip gets a lickin real soon.

Gang Jo's slap really startled me. I guess he still thinks of her as the little girl he raised in spite of her bare shoulders. I don't like to think of him as a fool but he's sure acting like one now.
And is it just me, or is Chiyang looking a little seedy lately? His face is puffy and his hair limp and straggly. Were these scenes filmed after the actor's accident when he supposedly returned to the set too early? Or maybe it's because we're meant to glimpse the character's evil side.

What is Foreman KIm's plan? I must have missed the ep with that info. I know we've seen him talking to some dude in the shadows and they executed the plot to shoot the Emp with thepoisoned arrows.

I forgot about his real-life accident and that is was him!!!! I'm not watching this drama attentively at all and I'm very ticked at how easily Hunae has fallen for dirty rat chiyang. Hyangbi having feelings for Gang is like out of left field for me. As for Kim's plan, I think it's to ride on Hunae's skirt tail till he, Sa Gamum, and pixie girl have established enough power to take revenge... just on whom, I don't quite recall/know.

He is supposed to be the last surviving royal of Shilla. Along with his followers, they plan on resurrecting the kingdom. He also wants revenge. Chiyang's grandfather, Crown Prince of Shilla, and his father went into hiding and began raising an army. Some former Shillans had positions of power now in Goryeo and found out about the army and the plans to revive Shilla. They wiped out the army and went after Chiyang at the temple but killed the wrong boy. Choe Sum's father was responsible for the massacre.

Last night, when you see Foreman Kim & the Lady in the cell together, he is wearing a white robe and headband which were clean. After she comes back from talking to the Emperor, when they show Kim he has blood on his face, on the headband and on his robe. Did anyone else notice this???

At the end of yesterday's (Sat)ep, you see little Prince Gary & Princess Sun riding and you see them age. Tonight(Sun), the Prindce is about 18 but no one looks older. When you see Princess Sun shooting the bow & arrows, she looks the same age. The Khitan Consort Chippie, Saila the Pixie Girl, the Queen, Gang Jo, the lady's warrior girl, the King and even the old dude who is the King's attendant all look the same age. Seo Hui the Minister is the only one who looks grayer. What's up??

We joked about this a while back, when these episodes showed in Chicago. After the flash-forward, Seo Hui looks about 1000 years older . . . and yet, nobody else on the show has aged at all! ;D

Attendant Go should've been long gone already. I just had to say it =D. I think it's great that he's still able to work at his age. 105 is it now? ;D Episode 40 Hunae bawling her eyes out to the King was disgusting. What a manipulator. Between his nightmare of the former King and believing his sister was dead, sure did a number on him to the point of being stupid. He's totally flip-flopped. He doesn't believe a word his wife says. I hate to see the Queen having to resort to scheming but she sees the writing on the wall. She raised Song as her own and wanted him to be the next king but now she fears Hunae will use him as a puppet and she's right. The scene in the village with Prince Gyeongjuwon hugging his son who's crying his eyes out was heart wrenching. Sa Illa has a very cold heart. Killing the enemy in a battle is one thing but a father and son that just wanted to live a peaceful life? She could have warned the Prince and let him and Sun go some place where nobody would know them. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Unless Choe Sum finds out who his steward (Mun Inui) is working for, he's not going to know what hit him. OK Gang Jo, just give up. She doesn't remember all the times you saved her or were there when she needed someone. I find it hard to believe Hunae was so clueless about Jo's feelings. If finding out about her feelings for Chiyang wasn't bad enough, now he's giving him orders?! I'm glad they're going to show some scenes with Yang Kyu. Am I mistaken or was he in AOW?

Good comments on Ep 40. I was shocked at Prince Gyeongjuwon's death. Poor Gang Jo. He's crushed. Hunae's line, "You understand, don't you?" was soo callous! Yes, she is clueless!!! I find it interesting that the Queen won't go back to her former role of being a diminutive wife, now that the King is back. Another interesting comparison is the two moles: Yi Hyunoon running amok in Sungdeok palace, where no one ever notices him; and Mun Inui, of mysterious background. Mun must have been planted years & years ago; how does Chiyang know him?!

Oh I know. How in the world did Yi Hyunoon ever get to be a commander in the first place? He's a coward and a weasel. I think Mun Inui is a Shillan too just like Chiyang. Interestingly enough so is Choe Sum but he doesn't want Shilla to be resurrected because he has a powerful position in Goryeo now.
