I think that the romantic relationships are really secondary to the story of this show. The main stories revolve around the relationships between parents and their children, and how hard it can be to resolve the issues of the past. As I continue to move on through middle age (whether I want to or NOT), I find this story more engaging than the typical Poor girl/Rich boy/Mean Mother-in-law story. Back when "My precious Child" came on, lots of us here initially applauded it for doing something different (a murder mystery) than the usual, only for it to crash and burn spectacularly. But . . . the crash happened around ep 100 in that show . . . and we're only in the mid-80s here . . . we shall see . . .

I had to miss Thurs. and Friday's episodes. Did anything change? Things are moving so fast lately, I hated to miss it. (Did anyone smack Sumi yet? She gets away with so much. All that shopping she did with Suin's credit card....?? What kind of parents let her do that kind of financial damage? )

Mr. Han meets with Yongjun. He lets it slip that Jisu and Hyeonsu both quit because of his children, and Yongjun is somewhat surprised about this. As they talk, Mr. Han realizes that Yongjun doesn't know that Jisu knows the truth, so he steers the conversation away from that. Yongjun comes to realize how the way he dwelt on his own mistakes made problems with his family. He tells Jisu and Hyeounsu that they shouldn't let personal feeling stand in the way of their jobs (Mr. Han had said that he valued both of them highly). He also berates/encouages Minsu fo leaving the Hospital, saying "I know you've done your best, but that's not enough. You have to do WELL. I know; I did my best to save my Mother, but I didn't do well, and I killed her" .
There's a crisis at Hiro's photo shoot, and ditzy Jingyeong can't deal with it. She calls Jisu, who comes down and smooths thing over. Jisu decides that is where she belongs, regardless of her family issues.
Speak of the Devil: in the hallway, she meets Sumi, and is very brusque with her, "I don't care about your Mother; she's just the boss's wife to me".
She then gets a phone call from Suin, whom she meets at a cafe. Withe a pained expression, she says "Suin, it's been a while . . . " See you next time!
PS. No one can smack Sumi quite yet . . . this is just buildup, until she does/says something that totally alters the plot line. Usually this is the job of the busybody aunt or the coniving uncle, but a disaffected sister works just as welll.

Soju, thank you so much! About Sumi, okay, I'll be patient and just growl at her at home. ;D

Well, she didn't "smack" her, but Suin really put Sumi in her place yesterday. (83) Not that it'll even register, but it did shut her up for a moment… and that's a good thing.

I agree, the writing does seem more intelligent so far, which helps to make the road home a lot less bizarre, and much more likable. However, I'm not so sure if anyone's destiny will become as high as the sky or wide as the earth.

Today I went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, so I missed seeing their overnight trip. Did they get romantic?

Not unless you call taking care of a sick boyfriend getting romantic LOL . . . Hyeounsu got sick - not sure with what - he said an upset stomach but it seems closer to a heartache . . O course Suin treated him with whatever she could and the director who was sharing the room with Hyeounsu was very solicitous also . . poor baby - All of the parents in this show should think more about how their CHILDREN are feeling and what they are suffering . . not be so selfish to make everything about what mommy and poppy did in the past and whatever baggage they have from then . . . . Their own children deserve some happiness too - NEITHER Mother nor Father Knows BEST all the time.

It looked like they were setting things up for romavce to heat up soon.
Suin and Hyeonsu were scouting a location at the local church. There's a piano in the church, and Suin starts playing. Hyeonsu hears, and flashes back th when they were dating in college. They play the duet of "Heart and Soul" they used to years ago. They suddenly get flustered, and stop.
Then, at the very end, Suin has ben comforting Hyeonsu, and ash she is about to leave, he clutches her arm (comlete with slow-motion replay), and says, "Don't go."

I can't wait to see today's episode! haha:)
I hope they do eventually get married. They belong together. However, she should get him some medical attention first. He has to get rid of that fever.

They kiss once and they get caught! Sheesh! How unfair. They're 27 or 28 and can't lead their own lives.

They kiss once and they get caught! Sheesh! How unfair. They're 27 or 28 and can't lead their own lives. They should just both run away to New Zealand together. This mess was caused by The doctor parents and the grandma. They should just let their son be with Suin.. It is weird how everyone is having problems but Jisu.
