If there are 120 eps and we are on 77, that means there are about 9 weeks to go. Now that they have already covered the Holy trinity of soaps-The Coma, The Miscarriage & The Not so Dead daughter and thrown in the ex abusive hubby and embezzlement, what are they going to come up with for 40 more eps?? My vote would be for a return of Sooby Do from YAMD who gets in the face of the 3 babes. ( Jisu for not going after Hiro and never having a BF. Suin for wimpy out with Hyeonsu & Sumi on general principles. ) She then sends them all packing to Russia!!!

OMG dodgerman, it all one big K-soap! I used to think I was the only one who got them mixed up but the themes are all basically the same.
After tonight, I see endless episodes of Wimpy Mom ignoring Jisu so babe #3 doesn't get her nose out of joint. How stupid is that?! EVERYBODY knows now, even Coma Doc, that Wimpy is Jisu's mom. Who exactly is she keeping it a secret from? And why? She can still be nice to Sumi, make her kimchee and babaganoush or whatever and acknowledge Jisu at the same time.
Nine more weeks! OY! Sheesh! Managgia!

What is the biggie about Juho & Shinae?? Someone on the show said they were cousins and that's why they couldnt see each other. Shinae's Mom and Juho's Mom were ex sisters in law. They do not share DNA!!! They are not remotely blood related.

It's the culture, but it still has us scratching our heads.
I still can't 'feel' Jisu's story, too much smiling on her part for me to believe she's in any real pain lol. Makes me wonder if she had botox or something, she can't frown for anything.

I missed tonight's episode (7/9) and it's not on line yet. Can anyone give me a quick fill-in, please?
How far does this culture stuff go? If a couple marries and the wife's aunt's cousin falls in love with the husband's first wife's nephew's sister-in-law, can they shake hands?

Lol puppy! Well there's not much you missed and I can't remember anything important happening. Jisu went to the restaurant but played hide and seek outside with her bio mom inside. She didn't go in to meet her and bio mom waited till evening. Grandpa's now staying with GA, she and hubby went and got him. Dr. Dad is still chewing at everyone. Suin and Hotstuff just may take on the new work together which would defeat the purpose for leaving Dreamers. Hiro bought some balloons for Jisu so she could pop each one to relieve stress; that was a cheesy sweet moment. Near the end Handsome dad called to meet up with Dr. Dad and when they met at the restaurant, they freezed the frame, so that's where we'll pick up tonight. I think that was it.

No problem, puppy. =)
I guess I'd care more about Sumi had a back story been shown of her being neglected but for now, she's just an irritating, attention-hog, to censor the term lol. I can't sympathize with her for nothing, I'm only seeing why the parents should kick her out and ignore her all the more.

Yet they cater to her selfish immaturity, brooklyn. Last nite, she appeared to rethink her behavior after Suin talked to her then she goes and tells Jisu to come back to work because she wants to be famous and show up her and Suin!
I guess the backstory is that her parents spoiled her rotten. Her father, who I thought might keep her in line, even told Juho to be nice to her (?!)
GA, the scary ex, and Sumi are suppose to be the baddies in this drama but, as we have already seen, GA very cutely said she mouths off fast then gets over it fast and Lady Doc was all smiles. Then scary ex sees the light and drops out of the picture. Sooo...I'm guessing Sumi will turn good and sweet by the final episode and never have to pay for her sins.
I really enjoy a little something different in these dramas ( a lot of MDU) but don't mind the same-old same-old all that much. It's relaxing.

Yes, puppy, because we know how it'll end. If they don't resolve all their issues, have a couple pregnancies, and take a happy family portrait at the end, I'll be very shocked. I'll believe that backstory for Sumi, seeing how tender Wimpy is and handsome dad's always at work. As my mom always says, every family has a cotton tree.
Speaking of Suin's ex, I thought I read somewhere that his Chinese lover was going to show up but here we are at ep 84 and everyone's moved way past all of that now.

OK, wait, brooklyn. There's Italian, Moroccan, Jamaican, and God knows what else in my family. We have more old sayings than spit in the sky but I never heard the cotton tree one. What's it mean?

The cotton tree is the same as black sheep, puppy, I have no idea how Jamaicans came up with the cotton tree expression lol. There's often one member, sometimes more, that acts out or brings embarrassment to the family.
Tonight's episode had a lot of wth moments for me. Nice going, Wimpy, I'm sorry she didn't meet face to face with Jisu's family so they each could slap her for being such a wuss. Look at GA there laying blame when it was her big mouth that gave it away and Jisu didn't even mention that she overheard it from them. And way to go Jisu for only saying "What?" when Sumi was being a grade A arse again. Even Hiro told Sumi to shut up, I mean, come on here. Yikes, the wrong people are on top for too long now, man, my patience is wearing thin lol.

I just saw tonight's ep(Fri) and had 2 questions. When Hyeonsu gets sick why does his co worker say he's going for needle & thread?? Was he going to knit him a sweater??? Seconly, the last time they talked about Juho & shinae's age, the parents said they were 18. Tonight Shinae says Juho is 16. To steal aline from My Cousin Vinnie-are the laws of physics different in Korea??

That age thing got to me too. Maybe the translation was wrong again. Remember the 10 month pregnancy of Seonyeong? I'm guessing Shinae said he got his license from he was 16, but we'll never know. The needle part I'm used to, but the thread part had me laughing. It's good they have those lines in now and then, keeps it amusing when it gets a bit ridiculous.

My Jamaican better half never heard of the cotton tree, brooklyn. I guess there must be different regional expressions even in that small island.
As to the needle & thread, dodgerman, I've heard it before in another drama. Somebody got car sick miles from nowhere and somebody else trekked to the nearest farmhouse for a needle and thread. I've heard of bloodletting to cure nausea but, as you say, why the thread?
