I'm just curious about something. As I said, I didn't follow the series, but I see that one of the main plotlines was about a bone marrow donation. Was the girl's actual donation dealt with in the series? I mean, did they show her during or after the donation? I ask because my mom had to donate bone marrow to her sister a number of years ago, and she was in pain for weeks afterwards. They get the marrow through your pelvis and go in through the lower back, which makes it terribly painful to move around for quite a while afterwards. It's a MUCH more difficult thing to go through than the medical profession wants to admit. So I'm very curious to know if the series showed how painful it can be, or if it treated the procedure more like a blood donation.

Yes ajk... they did show before and after . And it seemed absolutely trouble free ... the doner was up and about smiling and being 'normal' (well as normal as cornea girl could be). The transplanted person didn't seem out of sorts during the whole thing either... except that she hated that her daughter-in-law was the doner. Very deep and meaningful episodes I too know that there's a lot more to it than this storyline depicted. They need some medical people on their writing staff.

Well, sorry to say only 5 responses do not a Gathering make . . so I have thanked Pastor David for his kind offer and have closed the Poll and cancelled the Gathering. Obviously, not enough people want to attend a gathering at this time. Perhaps in the future we can plan one and more people will be inclined to attend.

I'm really disappointed. I was going to bring the Broccoli slaw that seemed to go over a couple of gatherings ago.
