Hi Folks,
This board has been a little slow lately, so I figured, hey; why not stir the pot a little?
So, here we go, with my ranking on the best (and worst) looking gals and guys on YH.
It’s all meant to be in good fun, so please don’t take offense at anything I say here, okay? If I ripped your favorite guy/gal, just post your opinions and set me straight!
THE WOMEN OF YH:
Ja-young: Tall, gorgeous, darned near perfect. First time I saw her (as the character Ha-na in “Who’s My Love”) I nearly fell out of my chair. As Ja-young, she’s less glamorous but still quite attractive. Her face has extremely Asian features (oval face, narrow eyes, small nose) but since I generally like Asian features it’s no big deal. Still, when she wears her hair tied in back (as she often does in YH) it accentuates the roundness of her face and maybe that’s a slight demerit. When she lets her hair hang loose, though, and allows it to frame her face, it’s hard to imagine anyone looking better. GRADE: A
Min-joo: Short, stubby legs (the bane of so many Asian women) detract a bit from her appearance, but moon-faced Min-joo really does have a nice mug. Her unusually big, brown eyes and larger than normal lips really stand out (though she sometimes overdoes it with the eye shadow and the ruby-red lipstick). Still, better looking than you’d think at first glance. GRADE: B
Sun-joo: Taller than Min-joo, but otherwise she doesn’t work out as well. White skin, medium eyes, and a large (by Asian standards) nose give Sun-joo an almost Caucasian appearance. Only her jet-black hair gives us a hint of her Korean bloodlines. She’s good looking, but man, she needs some sun – the pale-face look works on Kelly Bundy-type blondes, but Asian women need some color, please! GRADE: B
Hyun-ji: Psycho-babe from America, she’s too short, too skinny, and her facial features are unremarkable. Yawn. GRADE: C
Mi-ryung: Not beautiful in the classical sense, but very, very cute, at least when she’s not biting people. Reminds me a little of a circus monkey – but a really cute circus monkey. GRADE: B-
Na-young: Reminds me a bit of Hyun-ji. Eyes and mouth too small for her face. Package just doesn’t work for her. GRADE: C
Well, okay then, how about THE MEN OF YH? Here goes:
Sang-min: Big, roly-poly head on a big, roly-poly body. Looks like the Pillsbury doughboy in a $1,200 Armani suit. GRADE: C
Tae-young: An honorable young man, but he always looks like he’s in dire need of a bath. Mi-ryung, get him some clean clothes, please! GRADE C-
Ki-hoon: Somehow manages the grunge look without actually being grungy. Great choice for women who like younger men. Demi Moore would love him. GRADE: B
Young-joon: Grudgingly have to admit that he’s a good-looking devil, and he’s a sharp dresser, too. With his looks, wealth, style, and nice-guy personality, why is it that the psycho-babe Hyun-ji is the only woman in Korea that seems to be pursuing him? Beats me. GRADE: A
