Thanks for the great intro. I started watching this show mid-way through episode 7, but I live in Los Angeles (couldn't find a LA-based English-language board on this subject) so we're already at episode 12. Don't worry, I won't post any spoilers!
This is the first Korean drama (dramedy?) that I've gotten hooked on (mainly because I'm not Korean) and I love this show. I love Jang Inho's outfits and Kim Seongsu is so hot. I'm also trying to watch "Worlds Within," but it's not as engaging.
It's raining cats and dogs right now. Albert Hammond was definitely wrong.

Most of us here aren't ethnic Korean, either, but we do enjoy the shows. And, I must caution you: this may be your first Korean drama . . . but now that you've been hooked, it probably won't be your last!

Oh, yeah, Soapy, you're right. I also noticed that therefore Lee Tae-ran has been promoted age-wise in relation to her former grandmother (now her estranged mother). Yet she's still "almost 30." Ha! I think it's interesting how the Korean actors, especially the older ones, get cast as all sorts of different-aged characters. Like the younger grandma from "Mom's Dead Upset." She's usually played a nice gray-haired grandma (she was Lee Duk-hwa's mother in one of the daily dramas a few years back), but give her a dye job and all of a sudden she's a 50/60-ish divorcee. (Actually, I'm pretty sure it was a wig.) I can't think of any other examples right now, but that's what was going through my head on Saturday.

This drama is not what I thought it would be. I was looking forward to a comedy. However, this show has more of a dramatic tone....than a comedic tone.
