Well right from ep#1 with the poor eunoch people were popping their clogs in all manner of dramatic fashion ,so which one affected you the most? . The demise of the Wang's both the ship being scuppered and that final suicidal assault on the king's Palace was very charged . The Death of Auri Tragic eye candy wastes life on violent drunk Minister Yi Su another great loss . but the death scene that was most tragic DAMI !!!! What a waste as a female fighter she was really great so much better than that Chulin or Sosunho both lame pouty and unconvincing ,plus she had so much energy and lit up every scene she was in ,her air time was all to short as she was one of the more interesting characters . even the stupid pop song could not ruin this though it tried .

I wept over the loss of Yun Hwe, myself. When the little girl (Sejong's daughter) died, was another many kleenexes' worth. There were quite a few moving moments, actually. I'd have to re-read a few dozen synopses to remind myself exactly how many more "got" me. What a wonderful, well-acted series! Boy, am I going to miss it.

Good question. Several of the deaths stand out to me for different reasons. But two that I think were particularly said were Jang Won and Han Daion. Jang Won was the young prince Choongnyeong's eunuch who was tortured to death in Ep3 because the prince had gotten out of line with his father (without even understanding that he had). Daion, after being taken from her homeland and offered up as a concubine for the Ming emperor, was forced to commit suicide in Ep63 as a "sacrificial burial" after the emperor died. Neither of those two did anything wrong and yet they had their lives taken from them for stupid reasons. Tragic, pointless and senseless.
