It is a cultural thing about PDA. Personally, I don't mind the cheek kiss or a hug when people meet or are saying good-bye. I truly do not appreciate those couples who have no self-control and cannot keep their hands, lips and bodies under control when out in public. That's why that sarcastic saying came to be: "GET A ROOM" . . The total absence of kissing may seem extreme to our younger board members but when I was growing up, that was the accepted way to be, except for that little peck on the cheek. PDAs were considered extremely lacking in manners and people just didn't act that way. I am talking about PUBLIC kissing; what people did in their own home was their business; I think it should still be that way but that's just how I was raised .

I'm just glad Saebyeok is finally hugging Hosae back instead of standing there like a wet noodle.

Soapy, I don't even like holding hands with my other half in public.

I agree with “no PDA.” I was reading something recently where the writer was talking about how romantic it is to kiss with your SO in public, and “make the world go away/create our own private world.” This is the problem, as I see it. Trying to pretend you’re in your own special world is rather childish and not very community-minded. We’re all human beings going about our business, we have a right to be out in public, too, and we’re not trying to squash or judge your love, LOL. These people need to look at why they need to exclude others in order to feel special. Private is so much nicer anyway! ETA: Hello and goodbye hugs/kisses are normal, though I think. The operative word in PDA, I think, is DISPLAY. P.S. I do realize how awful I sound. But then I'm a horrible person.

Have you seen the commercial with the old lady sneering, "Why don't you get a room?!" I thought I was getting cranky with age, but I just want the old lady to mind her own business. edited to correct quote box. btw, did you notice the ad for Klimt's painting "The Kiss" at the top here?

The ads are different every time you view the page, be usually have some relation to content of the post. Sometimes, that relationship is stretched past the breaking point. I remember one drama with a character everyone refered to as "MJ". The google ads at the top would always be about Michael Jackson when "MJ" was discussed.
