I have never seen any couple kiss. Taeyoung & Soyeong are married and all you see them do is hug. When they were engaged, all Subin & Hosae did were hug and Hosae and Saybaeok have only hugged. Even " the adults" never give their spouse a kiss on the cheek when they leave for work or come home. What is up with that?

Maybe they think kissing is overrated?

This is again a cultural issue. Most Asian cultures do not encourage public display of affection much less kissing. But then how do you explain the two of the biggest populous countries in the world are in Asia - China and India. Obviously, they know what they are doing in their close bedrooms !!! LOL !!!

Until recently, in India, it was actually illegal to depict kissing in movies and television.

lol I agree with you, the only exception I think is with Saebyuk, because I think her fans would die if one of the actors kissed her (since she is an idol). Taeyoung and Soyoung have kissed a couple of times, haven't they? As for Soobin & Hose, I think it just shows how their "relationship" was just a rushed one, and it shows that they haven't developed true feelings for each other, like Hose and Saebyuk did. and I think the above above poster is right. Oriental countries are more, strict is the word im looking for maybe?, about publicity, respect, etc. <-- I don't know if you get what I'm saying, because it's hard for me to explain too lol. But yeah, that's just what I thought..
Or it could just do with the fact that YAMD isn't one of those deep thinking, romantic, love stories. To me, it's a little more laidback.

Why they do not kiss? Its a false representation, have you ever been to any Asian countries? On camera, why you do not see openly affection is because the older generation will start balking about it, it seems as thou Media Korea is only catering to those older people, and seeing that they have mothers who interferes in their lives no matter how old they are they tends to do the right thing, which in my opinion is a "CROCK" what is displayed on tele is make believe, what on the streets are a different matter. Have you ever arrived at INCHON Airport in Korea okay use your imagination...

Even if their own mothers have passed, other old women will interfere with anything that might feel good. Warning: if you marry a pretty Korean Woman(and so many are) the fun ends when the old women notice you (they attack her with old women hate men stories).
