It seems to me that Charles is sincere about Yeonsil. He's leaving with his "girlfriend" after Daegu pleaded with him to give him a chance. He loves her enough to let her go, or is it just me? Then again if she found out about his pregnant girlfriend, she'd freak out.

Yeah, I guess you're supposed to believe he took his own advice. He really loved her so he let her go.

Hmmm,I read somewhere that guys tend to fall in and out of "love'' so easily and frequently but gals tend to take longer to fall in "love".However, once they do,there is more substance to it!!Could Charles be "suffering" from this affliction?

I must admit that in a few scenes, Charles seemed sincere in his attention toward YShil. But then he also seemed to be a person who had taken advantage of his family and friends to finance his harebrained business ventures. When she put the envelope full of money on the table, Charles at first pushed it back . but it ddn't take much on her part to get him to take that money, did it? I truly don't know if he really meant it when he said he wasn't after her money or if he was "just saying it" to further his relationship with her? Did he really mean for her to move to Africa with him? Seeing his younger pregnant girlfriend at the airport makes me think that he really did NOT have any intetions for a long term relationship with YS.

Charles didn't know Yeonsil had money at first (did he?)when he started showing interest (or was it flirting?) in her. Yes, he took advantage of his family and friends with his questionable business ventures. I got the impression he was trying to change. Didn't he seem upset when he lost Yeonsil's money? I thought he had a conversation awhile back with Hosae about wanting to settle down. Of course maybe he always starts out that way. He did have a plane ticket reserved in her name, so I think he was planning on taking her. The big question, considering his track record, would he get bored and move on as he always has, or was he serious this time?

Once the novelty wore off and he had to listen to Yeonsil's voice, he would have gotten "bored" in a hurry. He's just a smooth player who thinks if he says "I'm sorry, I love you…" it's worth $300 grand. Remember, when he was leaving the Kang's he told Bok-ju he loved "her". We have to presume he was "serious" about his pregnant girlfriend at some point, but then decided he only wanted to "stay with for a while" too. He may have wanted to change, but I doubt it's the kind of "change we can believe in".

Charles looked sincere when he refused the money. Then the ditz shoved it through his car window. What an idiot! She was so stubborn that she didn't give any credit to her husband's worries. What if she had tested Charles by NOT giving him any money? Would he have gone away? I thought then that she was stupid and she'd never know his real feelings, because she gave him money so early.
He looked genuinely sorry to leave her behind, though, IMO.
