I see Charles changed his glasses from red to white. I think he may be the catalyst that brings Yeonsil and Daegu back together. Daegu has been reacting with jealousy and paying much more attention now than when they were married. I wonder what happened between them? Was it Yeonsil's annoying personality or Daegu's inattentiveness that caused them to drift apart?

She was [___words escape me___]* and he was embarrassed by her, so he wouldn't invite her to events where other men brought their wives. He worked long hours, and she felt neglected, too, I think. *childish, materialistic, silly, emotional, impulsive, vengeful, violent, maybe arrogant? More?

Charles really makes me laugh especially in todays episode when he did his tango around Hosae's mom. I was just impressed on how Hosae's mom manages to keep her stone face expression around Charles. It will be interesting to see when they reveal Charles back round. I wonder if they have any blooper outtakes for YAMD it would be interesting to see.

The actor that plays Charles is acting a very different role to what I've seen him doing in the past. What a fantastic change. Normally,he's in a tough man's role,For example,as the bigtime leader of the gang in A SECOND PROPOSAL and as one of THE GREAT KING SEJONGS' uncles(on Sejong's maternal side...his Mum's brother) who was executed by order of his elder brother(then Crown Prince)for illegal land accumulation.

I thought the little dance he did to cheer MJ up was hilarious too Mariah. ;D
You're right pilseung, I recognized him right away. He played one of the Min brothers (a brother to Queen Wongyeong) in GKS, Seoul 1945 and other historical dramas. Since I never saw A Second Proposal, this is the first time I've seen him in a contemporary drama. He is a versatile actor.

At least watching Charles and Daegu compete for Yeonsil's attention is worth a few laughs. My favorite part so far was when Charles asked for some paper while in the restroom and Daegu removed all the rolls of bathroom tissue and left. (Reminiscent of a Seinfeld scene - "didn't have a square to spare") ;D Later Charles shows up without his socks. He may be corny but Yeonsil is taken in by his romantic gestures and words. It's better than some of the other annoying and ridiculous story lines. video.aol.com/video/seinfeld-season-five-and-six-clip-3-stall/1432393

As cheesy as he might be, I prefer Charles for Yeonsil than Daegu. I know it won't happen but it's just wishful thinking on my part. Daegu annoys me with his "We're not divorced yet". He's like a broken record. If not for Charles, he wouldn't even acknowledge Yeonsil exists. He and Soyeong annoy me the most in this drama.

Apparently Manbok(sp) is his Korean name, and Charles is the name he adopted overseas.

I agree Knov1, if Daegu had paid attention to her over the years, she wouldn't be so hostile towards him. She might not be so bratty and outlandish either.

Now his girlfriend is in Korea, very pregnant! Oh, boy! And he already has messed up by losing what's-her-name's money and lying to her about it. He was seeming sincere for a while. Why on earth did she push the money on him? He was being honorable, for a while.

Why on earth did she push the money on him? He was being honorable, for a while. He is popular with the ladies and is experienced enough to know how to push all the right buttons on Yeonsil. She seems to love attention and that's what Charles gave her in plenty.I guess he had the ulterior motive of getting money off her and,at the same time, she needed to feel she could make an excellent investment decision without any help from her inattentive husband.
