BO,When I saw this story, I immediately thought of you, hehe. Leathery Donatella Versace forgets to pack her sunscreen for Caribbean getaway .... The habit has taken a heavy toll on her skin, which appears to be deeply wrinkled and loose on her emaciated frame. She has also desperately clung to her long platinum blonde hair despite it making her appear much older. ....Donatella also looked painfully thin as she walked on the beach with an equally tanned male companion Miss Versace, who is worth £500 million, battled a cocaine and alcohol addiction for more than a decade, and was forced into rehab four years ago.... What was she thinking? Someone should have told her not to wear anything too revealing at her age, hehe. Is it because of my overly platinum hair? Or my too-revealing wardrobe? Oh, I know. It's because I tan soooooooooo much. LOL. Poor Donatella. All that money, just a hag. Seriously, I get annoyed when I see these people wasting their lives like this. Boo hoo, I'm rich and I can't think of anything to do except drug it up and wear clothing that costs more than a small Pakistani village earns in a decade. Boo hoo. Bo

BO, I stumbled across some articles about dogs in Japan.
Preposterously pampered pooches
by Lee
In a desperate attempt to revive Japan’s decidedly drooping birth rate, the government is looking to provide further financial help for check-ups and the like. However, despite such measures, many people seem to be increasingly turning to pets instead of progeny, with miniature dogs seen as most desirable.
A trend that in turn has meant the pets themselves have to be, erm, trendy, with a gargantuan range of garments now available. Like this previously posted apparel for example.
Japanese dog fashion
But with plenty of festivals to attend in the summer, something more traditional is often sought after, such as this suitably seasonal yukata.
Japanese dog fashion
A, ahem, bow for a bow-wow if you will.
Japanese dog fashion
And, to further enhance the family feel, meals can now be taken together too, with a whole range of decidedly un-dog-like delectables,
Japanese dog food
from a mini omu-rice,
Japanese dog food
to cannibal-like cookies.

Kids, it would seem, simply can’t compete.Dancing goes to the dogs in canine-crazy Japan By Mari Saito
TOKYO (Reuters Life!) - Rumba with your retriever, polka with your poodle, or samba with your Scottish terrier in Japan, where dog dancing is the latest must-do activity in this canine-crazy nation.
Dancing lessons for pets joins a long list of things to do with your animal companion in a country where the pet industry is worth one trillion yen (nearly $9.5 billion) and where dog hotels, cafes and even dog-friendly cars are the norm.
At dance class "Wan Nyan World", which literally means "Woof Meow" in Japanese, dog-lovers and their reluctant partners do a little waltz and a little dog-trot to ABBA's "Dancing Queen".
"Whether it's a Chihuahua or a big St. Bernard, if you have the right music and moves, any dog can dance. Even age doesn't matter," said 51-year-old Mayumi Ozuma, who teaches the class.
"Dog dancing allows owners and their dogs to show their individuality."
For a tasty treat, dogs learn to circle their owners and move between their legs. Classes are held twice a month, and some couples even go on stage to display their skills.
Japan has more dogs and cats nationwide than children under 15, the result of an ageing population and a declining birthrate.
Animals, and dogs especially, are often seen on the streets of Tokyo, dressed up in specially made clothes and being pushed about in strollers by their doting human "mothers".
"Dog dancing allows me to have fun with my pet. It's refreshing and I feel like my dog's also having fun," said Mikako Oba who was dancing with her one-year-old Corgi, Carlo, adding that she would like to enter dancing competitions in future.
Seiji Osawa, a 37-year-old businessman was excited about class because now he can maintain eye contact with his two-year-old Shih Tzu.
"Now my dog will look at me," he said, sweating slightly from the dancing.
Others relish the class as a way to improve communication with their pets.
"I like the fact that Naruto will do what I say -- it shows we are communicating," said 45-year-old Miyaki Takahashi of her dog. "He used to ignore me when I called his name, but now he will come near me." ($1 = 106.21 yen) (Editing by Miral Fahmy) I have to admit that I'm jealous of dogs in Japan. I get annoyed too because they live better than me, haha. Anyhow, I'm worried about their future because the number of humans shrink. Can they survive without these luxuries?

I used to when I was in my country. It's amazing to see so many beautiful kites in the sky. It's fun and I loved it. I came across a story of a child prodigy. He's the youngest college lecturer. Please read the complete article below.
Youngest college lecturer-world record set by Aman Rehman
DEHRADUN, India -- Aman Rehman, an eight-year-old Indian boy, who teaches adult students computer-generated animated film at Dehradun's College of Interactive arts, has set the world record for the Youngest college lecturer.
Photo: Aman Rehman, who is son of a motor mechanic, with Rahul Gandhi in Dehradun. / Tribune photo: Vinod Pundir
Aman Rehman said: “Whenever I am having holidays, I make it a point that I should work on computer for at least eight hours. And usually I work on computer for four hours because I have to complete my schoolwork also. I can work on many software companies like Adobe, Flash, Firework, Dream Weaver, Maya, 3D Max, After Affects and many others. Presently I am making projects on black hole, aliens and water conservation,” said Aman Rehman, Whiz kid.
His father, an illiterate scooter-mechanic who supports his wife and three children on 60 pounds a month, had struggled to buy a second-hand computer for their older son, and Aman was fascinated by it, watching his brother's every move on the cursor.
By the time he was three-and-a-half, he had mastered his first animation programme and made a film with dancing alphabet letters. “I am having a small workshop, but as my child was interested towards animation so we never tried to hamper his interest. Later many people acclaimed his talent, our Chief Minister B C Khanduri gifted him a laptop, later our President and Governor of Uttaranchal also awarded him,” said M Rehman, father of Aman Rehman.
Following friends’ advice, his father took Aman to Dehra Dun's College of Interactive Arts. However, after a week of intense lobbying Rehman persuaded the college to watch his child on a computer which convinced them to offer him a place. Within five months he had written his own software programme.
Aman knows how to operate 18 softwares. He has also completed his animation course in span of three months, which is usually completed by others in 15 months.
Though Aman is only 8, he's already a computer expert. For me, I'm still learning how to do thumbnails. It's kind of depressing, hehe. The New Robot On The Farm Farmer Wu Yulu drives a rickshaw pulled by his self-made robot, near his home on the outskirts of Beijing.

jinju, How's your holiday? I hope you had a great time with your friends and family I've gathered some entertainment news and gossips for you. There're also many movies and dramas for us to enjoy. Bae Yong-joon has a "Dream" for Asia
Korean superstar plans Asian expansion with new TV series January 8, 2009 Written by Han Sunhee
SEOUL -- South Korea's biggest star Bae Yong-joon will produce the TV series Dream High as a joint venture between his Keyeast company and talent management firm JYP Entertainment. Skein is set in a drama school and will feature the trials and tribulations of its students as they try to break into the entertainment industry. Presentation will be long on song and dance routines.
Bae will take a producer credit and participate in planning and scripting, while JYP will handle the music and train the talent. Neither Bae nor composer Park Jin-young, who heads JYP and launched superstar Rain, have yet committed to appear in the series.
Bae, who started the craze for Korean content that hit Asia thanks to his starring roles in the hit TV series Winter Sonata and the movie April Snow, has rationed his onscreen appearances and maintained a fervent popularity that defies the decline in the Korean Wave and the Korean film industry recession.
With an eye on the export markets within Asia, the two companies have green-lighted the series without a local Korean broadcaster in place. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2010.

First production to be school drama series Dream High. Singer and producer Park Jin-young (37) and star actor Bae Yong-jun (37) announced Tuesday they will jointly establish a comprehensive entertainment content production corporation.
Park's JYP Entertainment and Keyeast, whose largest shareholder is Bae, will produce the tentatively titled Dream High. The two companies will set up a joint corporation this month and proceed with casting, auditions and the production.
Set to air in the first half of 2010, the story depicts the life of students attending an entertainment and art school. Their singing, dancing and acting will be worth watching, and the show will depict the reality of the entertainment industry.
Park and Bae will take part in the production in one way or another. The Korean, Asian and US media are showing keen interest in the collaboration of their dual star power.
Park will help with the musical aspects and the vocal and dance training of the actors while Bae will be involved in the overall producing. Novice actors, singers and entertainers will be chosen through major auditions. Other drama-related business projects are also being planned.
A JYP Entertainment official said, "JYP is happy to advance to the visual entertainment field with a good partner," and noted Park's passion in the project. Park said he will personally write the music and choreograph dances as the general director. He said the drama will be JYP's key project for this year.
A Keyeast official cited "the two agencies' strength in management skills of actors and singers and their experience in branching out to the US and Japan." He said their joint expertise, network and meticulous strategy will help to create world-class Korean content with global appeal. Credit : KBS Global/Entertainment News
WooHoo, that's fantastic! I thought they're gonna produce Drops of God first. Anyhow, I'm very excited about his new project. I wish both BYJ & JYP could co-star in this new TV series too. Can't wait to see thair new work! Good Luck! credits: as labeled, bb Friend, The Untold Story’ Gets Star Cameo
An adaptation based on the 2001 movie “Friend”, the upcoming drama series “Friend, The Untold Story” will be inviting Jang Dong Gun and Joo Jin Mo to cameo in the drama. This TV version will be directed by Director Kwak Kyung Taek, who is also the director for the movie “Friend”. Jang Dong Gun was the cast in the original movie while Joo Jin Mo collaborated with the director in movie “Love” 2 years ago.
Both Jang Dong Gun and Joo Jin Mo will be playing as the seniors of the main leads (Hyun Bin, Kim Min Joon). The original plan, however, according to one of the crews, was to get them to appear as friends of the main leads, but since both of them have long hairstyles, they are not really suitable to play in younger roles. Apart from Jang Dong Gun and Joo Jin Mo, it is known that Park Si Yeon and Cha Seung Won will also be taking cameo roles in the drama.
The movie version of “Friend” was a hit which drew a total of 8million movie-goers back in 2001. With the director remaking it into a TV drama, this upcoming series has attracted much attention since its announcement. Set in 1976 Pusan, the drama which depicts the life of 4 friends, will be aired in July this year through MBC network.

Zhang Ziyi and Fiance Spotted on a Beach
(asianbite) # January 06, 2009 11:14 # Discovered by: Sophie
Recently some rather revealing paparazzi photos have appeared all over the Chinese Internet. The photos apparently show actress Zhang Ziyi and her fiancé Vivi Nevo on a beach.
The photos are available on hundreds of web pages on websites as diverse as the popular Tianya forum and the website of People's Daily.
Zhang's manager responded to the photos (translated from QQ):
Ziyi and her fiance were vacationing on a private beach enjoying a normal part of life for the two of them. This is a matter of personal privacy. I sympathize with Ziyi and with all celebrities who have had their privacy invaded. It is difficult for them to enjoy vacations and even ordinary, everyday life.

International star Zhang Ziyi is back in China for the filming of the romantic comedy "Sophie's Revenge" after a paparazzi-haunted New Year holiday with her fiance Vivi Nevo on the Caribbean island of St Barts.
Although the paparazzi snaps revealing pictures of her and Vivi Nevo provoked strong reactions on the internet, Zhang was not too bothered by it and continued her work, sina.com quoted a production team member as saying.
Zhang Ziyi co-stars in the movie with Chinese actress Fan Bingbing and South Korean actor So Jisub. It is also the first movie she is producing.
The joint China-South Korean project started last November in Beijing and moved to the neighbouring city of Tianjin in the new year. The movie is slated for screening at the end of 2009.
I was amused when I read this comment, "Chinese netizens were not sympathetic towards Zhang, slamming her for her modest assets and for being a shameless exhibitionist", haha. Personally, I was a little bit surprised to see her in those pictures. I know she's different after seeing her pictures taken at a New York Knicks basketball game last year. www.hollywoodgrind.com/zhang-ziyi-and-boyfriend-vivi-nevo-spotted-at-kicks-game/ Anyhow, the huge amount of publicity she received will help her new movie "Sophie's Revenge". If you want to be recognized in Hollywood, you must be bold and fearless. There's no bad publicity in showbiz, I think. Jim Carrey Comedy for Gong Li

Actress Gong Li is preparing to star in Jim Carrey's latest comedy movie, Gong told talk-show hostess Yang Lan on Sunday.
Gong starred in Stephen Chow's popular comedy "Flirting Scholar", but her performance was widely criticized as "wooden". She told Yang that she wished to be a better comedian this time.
Gong, 43, also told Yang that taking up Singapore citizenship was her own business and it was unnecessary to explain it to the public.
She lost her membership of the China Film Association when she became a Singaporean citizen in November.
Gong, Chinese director Zhang Yimou's first leading actress, won fame after performing in a series of Zhang's films including "Red Sorghum" and "Raise the Red Lantern".
Her role in Chinese director Chen Kaige's "Farewell My Concubine" earned her a New York Film Critics Circle Award.
She married her Singaporean husband in February 1996, but rumors about their break-up and affairs with both Chinese and overseas actors have persisted.
Gong starred in "Memoirs of a Geisha" in 2005, "Miami Vice" in 2006 and "Hannibal Rising" in 2007.
Gong also told Yang that she had no ambition to be an Academy Award winner and didn't care whether audiences would remember her. By Li Xinran
I've never seen Gong Li in any comedy movie before. This sounds interesting. We have to wait and see, hehe. > 2009 Chinese New Year show's programme revealed; Jay Chou will sing 'A Herbalist's Manual', Saturday January 10 2009, China source: sina translated by: Sarah @ asianfanatics.net
Yesterday afternoon, 2009 CCTV’s Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) show first half of the programme held its rehearsal in the CCTV No. 1 Studio Hall, which included singing, dancing, comedies, acrobatics etc. As the rehearsals during these few days are just for checking positions and etc, many ‘big’ artists did not attend. However, some of the programme has been revealed. According to sources, Jay Chou, who the outside world has been looking forward to will do a solo and sing his ‘A Herbalist’s Manual.’

tinkerbell, Have you seen these news yet? Jackie Chan circles "Karate Kid" remake Tue Jan 13, 2009 10:38pm EST By Steven Zeitchik and Borys Kit
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jackie Chan soon could be mentoring a karate kid.
The action hero is in negotiations to star in Columbia's remake of "The Karate Kid." He would take on the role of mentor Mr. Miyagi, made famous by Pat Morita in the original franchise.
Jaden Smith, son of actor Will Smith, would play Miyagi's young protege, a role originally played by Ralph Macchio. The studio also has signed Harald Zwart ("Agent Cody Banks") to direct the picture, which possibly will begin shooting this year in Beijing.
Like the original, the movie will examine the relationship between a martial arts expert and a boy who is picked on by bullies.
Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment is producing along with the original film's producer Jerry Weintraub. The setting will be relocated from the United States to China.
Chan, who next appears in the action-comedy "The Spy Next Door," has massive appeal overseas, which undoubtedly appealed to Columbia. His "Rush Hour" franchise with Chris Tucker has earned about $750 million worldwide. (Reuters/Hollywood Reporter)
Jackie Chan's 'Shinjuku Incident' to Premiere at HKIF *January 13, 2009 10:34
Jackie Chan's Shinjuku Incident, filmed last year in Japan and China, will premiere at this year's Hong Kong International Film Festival (March 22 - April 13). The movie, produced by Emperor Dragon Movies and directed by Derek Yee, is a serious drama about a Chinese immigrant in Japan. Shinjuku Incident is scheduled to open in Hong Kong in early April.
Since Jackie wrapped filming of The Spy Next Door at the end of December, he has been back in China keeping very busy. On New Year's Eve he joined friend Emil Chau to sing at a concert in Shanghai. Back in Beijing, he attended a press conference to announce that his 2005 film The Myth will be made into a television drama which will air in China and which Jackie will produce. Jackie said that he had thought about making a film sequel to The Myth, but felt that a television series would better be able to play out his many ideas for the story. At the ceremony, Jackie presented actor Hu Ge with one of General Meng Yi's outfits from the movie. Hu Ge was surprised and honored at receiving such a valuable gift. Last year, one of these outfits was auctioned off in China to benefit Jackie's Dragon's Heart Charity. Jackie announced that Police Story would be made into a television drama, also to air in China.
Jackie was joined by popular Mainland singers Tan Jing and Chang Shilei to record "Zhong Guo Nian", a song for the Chinese New Year. Jackie said that he hoped the song would be a greeting to all the people of the world.
Finally, The Disciple finalists and winners (known as the New Little Fortunes) have recorded a special song just for Jackie. The title of the song, "Sifu" means "teacher." The group will sing the song to Jackie at a special Chinese New Year celebration sponsored by CCTV in Beijing at the end of January.
Filming for Jackie's next movie is set to begin next month in China. (jackiechan.com)
Wow, Jackie seems to be very busy these days. I guess 2009 will be another good year for him. Best of luck! Cats and dogs are supposed to fight like… well, cats and dogs. So what makes Leo and Yoko so different? By Nigel Blundell Last updated at 1:46 AM on 12th January 2009
For most dogs, it would be temptation beyond endurance. But for Yoko the labrador, being teased by a cat is all in a day's work. Sixteen-month-old Yoko is a pupil at the Guide Dogs charity's training school, where Leo the tabby is a key member of staff.
1) No catfooting: Leo makes paw contact
Either Leo or his sister Nina is placed in a dog's way to see if it will be distracted or, even worse, try to chase its tormentor up a tree.
If, as in Yoko's case, there is no reaction, then the pupil will pass with flying colours. An aggressive response suggests that the dog will not make the grade because it could not be trusted not to abandon its owner.
Leo and Nina arrived as kittens eight years ago at the school in Woodford Green, Essex.
2) High-tailing it: He walks disdainfully past
'Our trainers walk the dogs past Leo and Nina wherever they happen to be at the time,' said Carolyn Kirkpatrick, who cares for 30 of the school's 100 dogs.
'Both cats just get on with it and are good at taking it all in their stride. Nothing seems to faze them - they are very robust.'
Yoko, one of around 1,200 would-be guide dogs born annually in the UK, spent her first year with a volunteer puppy walker who introduced her to the sights, sounds and smells of the world.
After an 18-week course at Woodford Green, she will be sent for final training and introduction to her new owner.
3) Eye to eye: He challenges Yoko to react
The cats presence is now an important part of the training, testing the dogs for ‘cat distraction’ weaknesses – thereby ensuring that, once fully qualified, the dogs will not be tempted to abandon their blind owners for the thrill of the chase.
“Our trainers walk the dogs past Leo and Nina wherever the pair happen to be at the time. Both cats just get on with it and are good at taking it all in their stride. Nothing seems to faze them; they are very robust.”
When not testing a dog’s patience to the limit, the cats spend most of their days lazing in the staff room or laundry. guide dog
4) It's a rollover: Leo lies down on the job
For the hard-working dogs, their encounters with the cats must at first seem an infuriating insult to a pooch’s pride. But most soon learn that cat chasing is simply not on if they have the important job of leading a blind or partially-sighted person.
Yoko is among the school’s top students. One of around 1,200 would-be guide dog pups born (nationwide) annually, she spent her first year with a volunteer puppy walker who introduced her to the sights, sounds and smells of the world.
Having learned the basics, she was brought to the Woodford Green school last November for her 18-week course, after which she’ll be sent for final training and introduction to her blind or visually impaired new owner.
“She is one of our prize pupils,” says Carolyn. “She has the cutest face but is is really intelligent and self-controlled.”
And her view of cats? Silly little things. No discipline. Just not our sort, m’dear!
5) Congratulations, you passed: Despite all Leo's efforts, Yoko failed to react
Aww, Yoko is so patient and very smart. I'm so happy for the new owner. He'll do his job well. Photo News A Pony in line for McDonalds drive thru

nene, hi how are you? thanks for all the great news stories. look what i found today. click the link for more photos of her. this is me here in chicago hehehe i can't wait to see their beautiful baby!!Son Tae-young is ready to be a mom Son Tae-young comes out to talk honestly in an exclusive interview with Yonhap news. The 29 year old looks fabulous and has luckily gained weight only on her stomach. Yonhap news states that she is still reed thin at 171 cm, despite the third trimester bulge.
With her first child expected on February 28th, the 29 year old soon-to-be mother (married to actor Kwon Sang-woo) has nothing to hide. Son Tae-young told the interviewer how and when she met Kwon Sang-woo (33), how he proposed, the ups and downs of being pregnant, and where she wanted to give birth.
Check out our synopsis:
On doing the interview:
I wanted to be honest and come out in the open about the pregnancy and marriage. With all the negativity in the media, I thought it would be better to speak openly…for the baby.
On how they met:
I met Kwon Sang-woo on New Year’s Eve 2007, but we didn’t talk much. But after 2 days, I received a text message asking if I got home all right. At first , I was wary of starting up another romance and didn’t want to get hurt.
On getting serious:
In February 2008, we traveled to Australia together. Before, he didn’t say much but afterwards, I knew things were serious between us. And usually going on a trip together tells you about that person. He was very attentive and caring.
On the marriage proposal:
In the U.S. in July, oppa (Kwon Sang-woo) came down on one knee to propose in the middle of a lovely neighborhood in Brooklyn (New York). And it was soon after that we announced our wedding.
On the interest on their wedding (in September 200 and pregnancy rumors
Although we are a celebrity couple, I never realized or thought there would ever be that much interest in our wedding. Oppa is a very honest person and he was going to tell the press that we are pregnant, however, with all the negativity going on (in the press), I asked him not to say anything about the pregnancy. And despite living in a world where people do get pregnant before marriage, I didn’t really know how to handle the situation (with the press) since I found myself in that situation. When finding out that you are pregnant, you should be happy with the news and with your family, instead of trying to figure out what to do with the media.
On being pregnant:
I was depressed for a while with all the negativity in the press about us and also the fact that I couldn’t do want I wanted. I had morning sickness for the first few months and lost some weight as a result. But now I am ok. I am eating well and doing fine….and have gained about 7 kg.
On giving birth:
In November, we flew to Australia with the plan to have the baby there. We wanted to get away from the spotlight of the media but then we decided to return to Korea since my husband will have a new movie out (A story sadder than sadness). So I will have the baby here. I was surprised at all the speculation of pregnancy from the media before and after the wedding.

NENEWow, that underwater restaurant is fabulous! What a magnificent view. Do you think the menu consists mostly of seafood? ha haI've never been to a kite festival. From the pictures, it looks fun. They are very colorful and there are so many different shapes.I liked the story about Aman, the eight year old boy, he's amazing! It's interesting that his father is illiterate and he's a genius.I know I'll never be a computer whiz either. hehe Farmer Wu Yulu's robot is supposed to be helping out on the farm, but I think he's been helping himself to too many carrots! Wu should be working in another field, no pun intended. He'd make a lot more money working in robotics than farming. He does look like he enjoys himself though. Are those the pictures that will be on Kim Myung-min's CD's? I like them. Thank you for the nice stories. I have some cute and funny pics for you.

jinju, This picture tells it all. I feel your pain, hehe. I went out shopping yesterday. I don't want to brag, but it's almost 70 degrees in the Bay Area. It's nice and warm. Don't be jealous, hehe.
Thank you so much for STY's article.
She looks absolutely gorgeous and radiant. I'm glad she gains weight. That's good for her and the baby. I want to commend her for giving an honest interview. She finally found the courage to come clean about her relationship with KSW. I hope this interview will put the rumours to rest. Coming back to Korea to be with KSW is the right decision. Time flies! Can't believe she's going to give birth to her first child next month. I'm very happy for both of them. Congrats STY & KSW!

Two of China's most sought-after actresses, Li Bingbing and Zhou Xun will collaborate for the first time in a decade in an espionage film, their company announced on Thursday.
The stars, both with the country's leading entertainment company - Huayi Brothers, will lead the World War Two film "Feng Sheng" ("Sound of the Wind") which Huayi Brothers are making as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
"Sound of the Wind" is set in the 1940s during the Japanese invasion of China. Zhou Xun plays a decoder and Li Bingbing plays her boss.
The two actresses' only on-screen appearance together so far was in the 1999 historical TV series "Daming Palace", in which Zhou Xun played the protagonist while Li Bingbing only had a cameo role.
"Back then, we didn't really have the chance to work together," Li Bingbing said at Thursday's press conference, "I'm looking forward to it this time."
Besides Li and Zhou, "Sound of the Wind" also features a star-studded male line-up, which includes "The Assembly" star Zhang Hanyu, who plays an army chief and heartthrob Huang Xiaoming, who impersonates a Japanese spy.
The film will be co-directed by "Tokyo Trial" director Gao Qunshu and Taiwan filmmaker Kuo-fu Chen. Filming is slated to begin on February 5.
"Sound of the Wind" was adapted from award-winning writer Mai Jia's novel of the same name. The author's previous suspense novel, "Plot Against", won last year's Mao Dun Literature Prize, one of China's highest literary awards.
HXM looks fabulous with his new hair style. I loved it. His new movie sounds great.
How do you like American Idol season 8? I like it better than the last season. I like Kara, the new judge. She's talented and very pretty. Besides song writing, she can sing. I was impressed. Paula seems to behave. Though it's only the first week, I enjoyed watching some wacky contestants. They're very entertaining. Cody Sheldon Among those contestants from the first week, Cody Sheldon is my favorite. He's young, talented and has potential. Who's yours?

John Woo is preparing to introduce his first Chinese-language film in 16 years to foreign audiences after the historical epic proved a massive success in Asia.
The Hong Kong native said Tuesday he has finished editing an international version of " Red Cliff" and is offering it to American distributors. It has already been picked up in Europe and South America.
The $80 million epic, based on an ancient Chinese battle, was split into two installments lasting a combined five hours for Asia, but a single movie lasting two hours and 25 minutes has been prepared for audiences elsewhere.
"For Western viewers, watching a foreign-language movie and reading subtitles is very tough," Woo said.
The war epic is set in the Three Kingdoms historical period, which Woo said is familiar to Asian audiences.
The first installment of the "Red Cliff" project was a big hit when it was released across Asia in July, earning more than $100 million thanks to a $50 million performance in Japan and $47 million earned in mainland China.
In South Korea, it drew more than 1.6 million viewers - about 130,000 more than the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight."
The second installment will debut in China on Thursday and across the rest of the continent later this month.
Woo said the international version of "Red Cliff" focuses on the main characters and eliminates peripheral ones. But, he says, both Asian and Western versions are more down-to-earth than their contemporary Asian rivals, concentrating on grounded battle scenes over far-fetched gravity-defying kung fu fighting sequences.
"I wanted to make Asian audiences feel it's a familiar story but also make Western audiences feel they're watching a love story like 'Troy' or an Asian version of 'Gladiator,'" Woo said.
Woo also said he will start shooting another Chinese-language film, "1949," later this year. I just finished watching Red Cliff I on mysoju.com. It's awesome. I'm glad to hear that they're going to release the Western version soon. Can't wait to see this great movie on the big screen! I hope not. I have to admit I won't be able to eat seafood there. They're so pretty. I would become a vegetarian for a day, hehe. While eating at that underwater restaurant, you might see some strange looking squid swimming by, hehe.
Piglet Squid Piglet Squid, Helicocranchia pfefferi: This funny looking squid is about the size of a small avocado and can be found most commonly in the deepwater (greater than 100 m or 320 ft) of virtually all oceans. Its habit of filling up with water and the funny location of its siphone with a wild-looking 'tuft' of eight arms and two tentacles had prompted scientists to name it the piglet squid. Dumbo Octopus Also known as the "Dumbo octopus", the Grimpoteuthis is a benthic mollusc found on the ocean floor at depths of 300-400 meters. Dumbo octopuses, which can grow to up to 20 centimeters, are soft-bodied or semi- gelatinous octopuses with a pair of fins located on their mantle and webbing between their arms. Grimpoteuthis swim by moving their fins, pulsing their webbed arms, pushing water through their funnel for jet propulsion, or all three at once. They can swim up off the bottom and hover a bit just above the seafloor looking for snails, worms, and other food. Alien-like Squid
An alien-like squid was spotted 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) underneath the waves of the Gulf of Mexico on November 11th, as Shell's remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) caught glimpses of the gigantic squid hovering peacefully above the ocean floor. The creature had long legs, which it dragged over the ocean floor – scientists say that it uses them to ensnare its prey, much like humans scrap bread crumbs off the table with their fingers. squid with human-like "teeth" Apparently, this is real. Species: Promachoteuthis sulcus. According to the Tree of Life Web project, the single specimen is 25 mm and was captured at a depth of nearly 2000 meters in the south Atlantic Ocean off Tristan Da Cunha. Wow, they're absolutely amazing! Anyhow, they're different from the kind we eat in Thailand, hehe.

jinju, I agree with you that Kwon Sang Woo is rather shy while his wife is more outgoing. That's a good match.
Have you seen these pictures yet? He looks cool and very handsome in these pictures. I hope you like them too. Cody Sheldon is from Detroit, Michigan. He sang “What a Wonderful World” by James Morrison. I think he's not bad. He has a clear and clean voice. I couldn't find his clip. It was removed from youtube. I found a picture of your girl. Her name is Emily Hughes. Wow, she's in American Idol season 8 commercial. After watching her performance again, I think she's better than Cody. Anyhow, I hope both of them will make it to the next round. Simon Cowell Trivia He just dumped his long time girlfriend, Terri Seymour a few months ago. FOUR YEARS after he bought it [/a] I like Simon too. He's the central figure in American Idol. Viewers like to listen to him and watch his every move. He sure knows how to entertain us. Without Simon, I think AI will be boring.
Have you heard about a new movie The Wrestler? There's a lot of buzz around this movie. I'm curious, so I searched and found out that it just won 2 Top Golden Globe Awards; one for Best Actor (Mickey Rouke) and the other for Original Song (Bruce Springsteen). It sounds great. The Wrestler Summary His sense of identity fading into nothingness after the spotlights dim and he experiences a close brush with mortality, a retired wrestler begins to evaluate his life while considering the comeback that could very well kill him in director Darren Aronofsky's poignant portrait of an introspective former superstar in the twilight of his career. Rourke won a Golden Globe last week for his role in The Wrestler

Review You don't need to be a fan of wrestling or hair metal to enjoy The Wrestler -- director Darren Aronofsky's poignant glimpse into the life of an aging, broken brawler grappling with failing health and memories of fame long after his glory days have dissipated -- just great acting and assured storytelling. Please read more here. Photo Gallery The Wrestler received rave reviews from many critics. They praised Mickey Rouke for his remarkable and fascinating performance. He may have lost his looks but he still has the talent. According to some viewers and critics, Mickey Rouke may win the Oscar. That will be wonderful!

NENEYes I read about all the projects Jackie Chan is working on. He's very energetic, isn't he? I liked the pictures of Jackie and Jet Li. They look like they are good friends. Thanks for posting because I don't always see the articles and appreciate you letting me know. That's a good story about Leo and Yoko. I guess the dogs do have to go through a lot of testing and training since their owners will really depend on them. Yoko seems very calm and he's cute too. The cats must be easy going also. They don't hiss or try to claw the dogs to shreds. ha haThanks for the pictures. That had to be a sight to see, a man on horseback in the McDonald's drive-thru?! Hilarious. Do you know what country that is? It looks like Russia or maybe a neighboring country. Although it's interesting, I would never feed a bunch of rats. They carry disease and are a nuisance. Yuk. I have seen the most crowded train before but not the Yellow School Tricycle! They sure pack them in, don't they? heheCool! Nice pictures of Kim Myung-min and his family. I loved the wedding pictures. His wife looked beautiful. What a lovely gown. Their son is a cutie, isn't he? The video clips were good, but I don't think I'd want to be filmed giving birth, would you? KMM sure looks like a proud papa. You can tell how much he loves his little boy. Very sweet.Thank you so much.I saw Red Cliff awhile ago and it was awesome. How long is the movie on mysoju? Is it the longer version? I'm sure you feel the same way, I'd want to see the whole movie not the shorter, edited version. I hope we can watch part 2 soon.Oh my goodness Nene, that squid really does look like a little pig and the other octopus resembles Dumbo. The squid with human-like teeth is amazing. It's kind of funny. I can just imagine it smiling. ha ha The alien-like squid looks a bit like a spider with those long legs. I've never seen anything like them. The world is full of interesting and unusual creatures. Thanks for sharing. So you only eat the "normal" looking squid and octopus, right?

nene, oh thanks for the photos of KSW. he is handsome. have you heard about his new movie? he is in a movie called A Story Sadder than Sadness. click link for more photos. What’s “a story sadder than saddness”?
Having a mock wedding and then eating your birthday cake on a wedding cake.
Kwon Sang-woo and Lee Bo-young are the perfect wedding couple for the on location filming and press conference of the new film, “A Story sadder than saddness” (‘슬픔보다 더 슬픈 이야기’) on January 12th at a church in Seocho-dong. And it was also on this day that Lee Bo-young celebrated her birthday by blowing out candles on her mock wedding cake. Nice.
Although Kwon Sang-woo and Lee Bo-young look more like newlyweds, the filming of the wedding was actually between Lee Bum-soo and Lee Bo-young.
“A Story sadder than saddness” will hit theaters in mid March 2009.simon's house is just to big i think. i don't understand how they can live in homes that big. it's crazy. oh yes i have heard about the wrestler. i haven't decided if i want to watch it yet. but i glad mickey rourke has his life back. i did see the golden globes. he was very funny.

Lunar New Year festivities set for Asian Americans
By JEFF OVERLEY The Orange County Register YEAR OF THE OX With Lunar New Year looming, Orange County's Asian American community thronged local shopping venues Saturday in preparation for a lengthy stretch of food, friends, family and firecrackers.
Among many items, merchants hawked tangerine trees (citrus fruits are exchanged at lunar new year for good luck), red-and-gold paper envelopes (they're stuffed with small amounts of cash and given to children) and hanging decorations designed to resemble strands of firecrackers.
Preparations for Chinese New Year include taking care of debts and cleaning the house (because cleaning on the day of the new year could mean sweeping away good luck). Revelers celebrate all week, and often longer, meeting with friends and family for large meals that often, per tradition, include a freshly killed chicken.
Sounds like fun.
