Can anybody provide the English translation for the information that was scrolled at the very end of Episode 62? It wasn't subtitled, darn it, and I'd really like to add it to the summary. From the Arabic numbers I saw with the Hangul characters, it looked like the material was probably about Jeongso. I'd like to know whether or not she really did die of a blood disorder at the age of 13 and am hoping the scroll tells us.

Hello, ajk, here is my translation, which you could correct and put into your summary.
"Years later after Princess Jeongso died, in the 8th reign year of King Sejong (1426), the queen's mother, Ahn was reinstated in her former position. Why she was condemned of treason was only because her husband Shim On was condemned of treason, so she was innocent.
In the 13th reign year of King Sejong, he made it clear that every guilt must be actually proved, so that no one is declared guilty by tortures.
But it was after King Sejong died, in the 1st reign year of King Munjong (Sejong's son) that Shim On was reinstated."
P.S. At that time, Shim On's reinstation was a subtle problem although everyone knew that he was innocent. King Sejong obviously understood that it might damage the legitimacy and stability of the government his father King Taejong had managed to establish even by killing his brothers. After all, it was his father that had tortured and killed his father-in-law and he could not have ascended to the throne without being supported by his father. Not reinstasting Shim and reinstating Ahn at the same time seems to have been an appropriate political decision for him, I think, although he may be criticized from the viewpoint of morality at that time or today.

Thanks, candylover,
I, too, wondered what that was.

You're the best, candylover--thanks VERY much. I will get that into the summary this afternoon. I'm especially glad you were able to give it to us because the information about the two reinstatements probably wouldn't have been given in the plot of the series. Since they put it in a scroll at the end of an episode, I think they were wrapping up the storyline that way. So now we know what happened.
You make a good point about Taejong's part in all of this. In the series it felt like that was kind of the "elephant in the room" that nobody wanted to even mention. After all, it was really Taejong who was responsible for Shim On's death. But nobody wanted to go that far in dredging up the past.
And not to get too far off the point, but I got very attached to Jeongso. What a sweet kid; always thinking of others before herself. She almost seemed out of place around a palace full of people all maneuvering for their own interests and desires. A great character.
Anyway, thanks again! Your help has been so valuable to all of us.

You enhance this fanboard so much, candylover!
The beginning of last nite's episode was very confusing so your interpretation cleared up a lot of things. Now I'll REALLY look forward to ajk's summary.
Jeongso. What a sweet kid; always thinking of others before herself
She really was very sweet ... much like her father in his youth and certainly like her mother. The best of both.
