I totally get where you're coming from, mikey. But for the fact that here in the NY/NJ area we only have one measly k-drama during the week, and one on the week-end, I have resorted to watching this 'til the bitter end, where I am sure the last episode will fast forward us to 5 years later, and everybody young is married and of course with kids, everybody old is still alive, and healthyy, and the freeze frame will be a family photo with the whole group -- all smiles and cozy

Yes, and though I'm not against forgiving someone but the things that the baddies in these K-.,dramas do are extremely wicked, so how can they just kiss and makeup like that, right? lol

I get the same 2 dramas as you, Dorrie. If I had more to choose from, I think I might have ditched YAMD by now. All the contemporary dramas are VERY similar - drawn out, silly premises ending in happily ever after. I much prefer the historicals but what can a K-drama addict (graduate) do?

I'm tired of Subin's sneering face and wild eyes. Why doesn't she give up? Why doesn't she get it? Even Taepung told her that Hosae likes Saebyeok. Why force yourself on someone that doesn't love you? Is Hosae just a prize? Would she be happy just to marry him without having his heart? She is so desperate that she has to invite Hosae's friends and talk about their wedding when he wanted to meet her to call it off. She keeps putting on the pressure but it's not going to change how he feels. Pathetic.

It's as if Hosae's the only single guy not related to her that's left out there.

It's as if Hosae's the only single guy not related to her that's left out there. Yeah, I know lol. How long has she been obsessed with him, anyway? Since she found out she had to share him with the other SB lol. Subin makes me laugh. You'd think that Hosae telling her he doesn't love her would be enough for her to understand that it wasn't meant to be. Of course, now she'll just want to go after SB even more. I can already picture what her next evil plan will be: If she can get SB's corneas, Hosae will love her and not SB. Because it's all about the corneas.

I don't know if anyone remembers that scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (I'm showing my age) where the Black Knight or something, keeps fighting even when his arms and legs are chopped off and he's nothing but a stump shouting, "Bring it on!"
Subin reminds me of that knight. Hosae does everything but reduce her to a stump but she only gets feistier and more determined with every chop.

Subin is so manipulative and possessive it's scary. She acts like she's already married to Hosae. The press conference stunt was desperate and will surely make things worse for him. Whether it applies to men or women, NO means NO! She should get together with Dr. Jang from Likable Or Not.

This stalking quality is not only unique to Subin. Taeyong was guilty of it too. And, to a degree, Hosae is guilty of it with Sabeayak.

Subin is the most pathological and criminal. She needs treatment or a good smack. Or maybe an intervention? The mothers and the grandmother are pretty bad too. I wish Hosae had just talked over her fuss at the dinner. Why on earth would he be the one to drive her home? I guess I missed something when I was cooking.
Now Subin says she's going to get even with him? She's getting really evil.

Only thing is, she'll still be able to walk around and start chopping, after Hosae dumps her.

I feel it's almost futile to try and write a post about how much I hate Subin. She is absolutely in the wrong. When Hosae took her into the conference room for a talk yesterday, I expected him to say something like, "Do you really think you can force me to marry you by handcuffing me and dragging me around like a dead body? If that's the marriage you want, you truly must be insane."
And I don't know why he doesn't tell his parents that he has found out that she has a very bad character and that's why he doesn't want to marry her. And he should make it clear to his father that he has been trying to break up with Subin for a long time but she won't hear of it and has been trying to manipulate him so that he can't say no. He should have told someone that, out of personal jealousy, she threw away a project from a member of her own team. As I said before, that's industrial sabotage, which is probably a crime.

This stalking quality is not only unique to Subin. Taeyong was guilty of it too. And, to a degree, Hosae is guilty of it with Sabeayak. Is this a common occurrence that many of the dramas have people like this? I think Subin is the worst I've ever seen. She is very scary. A few episodes back, I really thought she was going to hit Saebyeok with her vehicle. She's definitely capable of such evil. I agree ginnycat and Lucy, I've been thinking the same thing. I really can't stand her and she's definitely psycho. Hosae confronted her about the engagement article, told her he doesn't love her and she yells at him that he has to marry her?!?! Crazy! Hosae didn't do her any favors by not exposing her as the one who destroyed Saebyeok's project. How can she send Saebyeok to Russia? What authority does she have? Why doesn't Hosae at least tell his father what Subin is like?
