I'll let you know ahead of time that this isn't based on facts from some KBS website or what not, but on my keen sense of observation, haha. If anyone was paying attention, you could've noticed a few actors that would later play roles in the "Dae Jo-Young" series. I counted three different men (did you see any more?): 1. Director Han (Miss Junghwa's company director, in the red clothing). That is the same actor who later plays Li Wen's right-hand man... "Teeth" as we used to call him; he was the guy who was perpetuoully grinning. Remember? 2. The Former Prime Minister (who, in the end, gave Jang Bo-Go permission to debark with his escort warriors). He played the king in the first half of the Dae Jo-Young series. 3. Miss Junghwa's escort warrior. Can you take a guess who that actor would later play?... it's a tough one. If you were paying really hard attention, his voice, eyes, and unusually tall height would have betrayed him (and not much else, either). Now, don't feel bad if you didn't catch this one... believe it or not, that is Gulsabiwu! He looks dramatically different because now his character appears perfectly clean-shaven... and also because the actor so many years younger. If you don't believe me, keep watching. You'll see it.

Junghwa's escort warrior did look familiar but I couldn't place him. I'm glad you brought that up. I'll pay close attention to him next week.
If the Lord (Former Prime Minster) played the King in DJY; you’ve answered my question that I asked under another thread. The Lord and Master Sul is the same actor. THANKS!!!

You're right about the first two actors. But I'm afraid you missed on Jung Hwa's body guard. He is definitely not Gulsabiwu. Gulsabiwu was played by Choi Chul Ho. The body guard actor is Suh Do Young. I was amazed when I first saw merchant Han. He looks so different when he isn't grinning from ear to ear. Good to know these actors have some range. Same goes for Sa Bu Gu/Chief Jang. He hasn't smirked a single time in this show, and he has much better hair. :-)

I also looked them up. Suh Do Young played the lead in Spring Waltz.

I wonder why "Teeth" took to grinning like that in DJY. He's doing a decent job so far in Emperor of the Sea... I guess maybe he was bored. At any rate, I think he must've more or less ruined his acting career with the grinning he did later!

I wonder why "Teeth" took to grinning like that in DJY. I thought it was to hold his mustache on. That had to be one of the worst paste on mustaches I've ever seen.
