Have you ever wondered about the the way MR's Dad treats his wife vs. the way WK treats Ms. ? On one hand, we see a very loving couple...there is real interaction! Whenever I see WK and Ms. Jo I just get the feeling that Ms. Jo is still the maid, a piece of furniture. WK shows no personal interest in her other than the fact that she can make hangover soup for SM.

I also dislike watching the way Wk treats his wife. Like in today's episode #144, WK and SM are talking and the wife made a comment and he told her to be quiet. WK has done this before. I think the combination of WK's "older generation" beliefs about women, and the fact that she's not the real mother works against her. She clearly has no rights in that relationship.
I love YM. He is so adorable with his family and the fact that he will be a father again. Today, he actually made me tear up because HS got mad at him for spending more money on the baby. He left, got tipsy, then came home and said the most beautiful things...about how his family means more to him than his life and that HS could not understand that about him. She said she was sorry and they both were crying. Too touching. He's a sweetie!

I was so glad I was watching my YH tape alone. I would have been so embarrassed to have someone see me tearing up at a drama. I loved the way that the writers gave us insight into Young-man's (MR's dad) life. He's really a spectacular guy, he was born an orphan, so you'd think he'd be bitter or something, but no, he is overwhelmingly grateful for all that life has given him. Thumbs up for the actor who plays YM, he's such a diverse actor. Anyone remember when he played the rigid Mr. Cha in "So This is Love"?

Yeah, up until the end, he (Jang Yong) played such a sourpuss. On the other hand, the actor who plays Sang-min, Kim Ho-jin, was so nice in 'Tender Hearts', and a total scum in this show.

I think "Tender Hearts" was the first drama I watched, but I can't remember which part "Sang-Min" played--can you refresh my memory? And, sidebar, does anyone know where I can find synopses and/or cast lists of the previously shown series? I watched/loved "Tender Hearts", "To Be With You" and "Who's My Love" among others, but they're starting to run together in my mind. Bo

Whenever I see WK and Ms. Jo I just get the feeling that Ms. Jo is still the maid, a piece of furniture I think she pissed him off because she is so smart. He can't take that. Remember when she told him she memorized his lines faster than him, he got pretty upset. Min-Joo doesn't like Ms Jo's attitude either--I love when Ms Jo gets the better of M-J and M-J can't do anything about it because of social strictures. None of this seems to bother Ms Jo, I notice--she just keeps on saying what she says and doing what she does. She's a delightful character. Bo

Here you go, TheBo: www.koreanwiz.org/drama-tender.html this is the KoreanWiz page for Tender Hearts. It will refresh your memory. Sang Min was Donguk, who was Yoonju's love interest (remember when we thought they were half siblings? Yuck!) Tender Hearts is the reason I find it so hard to completley hate Sang Min, I still am in love with him as Donguk

I loved SM on Tender Hearts also. He was in love & the woman was older (by a whopping 5 years). I think his acting is much better in YH. He has really brought a wide scope of performing to YH. I am starting to sympathize with him & see a more kind, compassionate person emerging. I see such realization in his face now & am really sorry that YH is about to end... I just saw ep 159... I have 10 to go... WK was on Tender Hearts as well... Actually, I've seen him on 4 shows now. I love to see the actors play different roles. Saw one with JY & she had a totally different personality in it....

I know I saw it in another thread, but I couldn't find it again. Second--Nellie--are you talking about when JY played Lee Hana in "Who's My Love"?--a character who was very, very hard to take because she was shrieking with excitement all the time. (Sort of like Mi-Ryung.) Here, she's so dignified and sedate and deep. That is one of the things I love about these shows--the actors are on different shows and they just seem like entirely different people. I think most of them are very very talented. Bo
