many korean pronunciations sounded very similar to the many languages in Asia! so listening to the korean spoken language after a while, you kinda grasp the meaning. the funny thing is the meaning of their words are also the actual meaning of the words in the languages that i spoke. i find it really fascinating! cheers! Yep.I agree.I noticed that when heard someone counting from one to ten in Korean. I also notice that Koreans will add the sound ''ah'' after someone's name when they speak informally..like people who speak cantonese. For example, when calling out Carol...a Cantonese person will say..Carol-ah.In Korean someone might say informally..Pilseung-ah.

hi! you are definitely very right, pilseung ... I speak cantonese very well too! I am now into ep 104 (aired on 29 Sep) - just a brief recap ... TP's mom found out about NY's case from her sons ... she can't forgive SB ... you can imagine that grandma ... she's really impossible! ... so SB packed her bags and left ... HS went to the States but came back to look for her ... finally found her and they ran away to some rural countryside (mostly fishermen) ... rent a room and stayed there ... he proposes to her ... she still hasn't accept ... they are very sweet hugging together ... then his mom found them ... and gave both a slap ... but their love never wavers ... they still wanted to be together ... HS & SB forever!

Here are some pics for ep 105 in relation to the above : A new guy was seen in this ep : He is CB's (Hosae's dad) younger brother who was a sailor. He is tired of his life and regretted it. So now he decided to "land" and looked for his first love and his little daughter whom he abandoned 10 years ago ... don't know why KBS brought him in ... but apparently he was introduced to soobin's mom in the dancing class ... will know more after I finished ep 106 ... cheers!

Did everyone else notice that Taeyoung still calls Soyeoung "Noona" -- even after the marriage? Doesn't Noona refer to older sister?

Yup, "Noona" (or "Nuna") is what a younger brother calls his big sister (a younger sister would call her big sister "Onni"). It's commonplace for young girls to call their childhood sweethearts "Oppa" ("Big brother") and I've heard that this sometimes carries on into marriage, but this is the first I've heard of a married man calling his wife "Nuna." But, this is also an unusual case where the bride is older than the groom, so it does make some kind of sense. Maybe the writer is just trying to add a little something extra to the overall cute weirdness of their relationshiip.

Hello, Everyone-- Hope all of you are doing great! I am still (of course) watching several K-dramas, albeit on KBS World & Arirang (Satellite). Anyway, I am watching this drama on KBS and really am quite taken by it. KBS World aired Ep. 80 yesterday, am I am wondering how I can find out how many more episdoes there are. Also, I am one of those viewers who actually does like spoilers, so anything you can post here would be great. Thanks, everyone!

Well, Flowerlady, it IS the spoiler thread (LOL--glad to see you, too). Koreanwiz says "67 episodes as of 8/7/08 in Korea" and KBS World says Ep 82 on 10-9-08--so it looks like the end is not in sight (yet). I could not find any other info regarding the possible length of the series in any of Koreanwiz's links, so maybe it's just open ended.
I think you're right up to date, there. Lucky you.
Bo

Like FlowerLady I also like to read to read the spoilers. there have been times that I get fed up with a drama....but then I read the spoilers, and decide the show is worth watching after all. In every case I'm always so pleased I did.

Hi, Jentan. Pleased to meet you. Could you message me with with how I can access YAMD spoiler episodes in English? Thanks.
I've been traveling for several months and had to catch the endings of Likable or Not and Dae Joyoung on YouTube in Korean, not my first (or second or third or tenth language). I also missed the beginning of YAMD, which I'm liking so far but did manage to catch all of Mom's Upset, which I'm not.
It's nice to be back.

I am having such a hard time understanding why Hosae's mom is so insistant that he marry Subin when he doesn't want to. You would think she'd be happy that they call the whole thing off rather than be stuck in an awful marriage. When the charaacters behave so irrationally, I never know if it's a cultural thing or just k-drama .....

I'm reading the spoilers on kpop and Subin and Hosae's mom only get worse. He keeps insisting the engagement is off, he doesn't love Subin, will l never marry her, yet neither of them seems to hear. Mom hates to lose face and Subin just hates to lose. They don't care how miserable Hosae is, how miserable THEY are. They believe that once the wedding takes place, all will be well. Does the Korean audience really buy into this charade? Or do they, like us, just have a good time?
